...Or perhaps not. But then, learning and understanding those things took time. He could not blame her, not really, for that fear, even if he personally thought that it was unfounded.
"I do not think he would." The scritching slowed just a tad as his mind clearly went elsewhere. "Elik is relatively open minded." More than he had once been, even if the admission strung. "He might be surprised at first, but he would accept it quickly." There was no way to be completely sure, of course, but Xun Jiang knew how his son's mind worked.

"If you think so..." the werewolf decided, trusting Xun but still a bit worried. "I'll tell him, then."
Rhodos hovered in front of the Dragon King, grumbling back and forth with Phlox, before he finally decided to just land on top of the ridgeback, who squeaked his indignation and tried to wriggle upright to better chase the 'intruder' away.

"Beside, would you not rather be the one to do i-"
And that was when the fluffy mischief began. His hand could barely recoil in time not to be landed on, and the squeaks made it obvious that the landing was not a welcome one. "Now, now, you two. I have enough arms for both of you !"
He was trying to grap one of them, but all that wriggling made it more complicated than it should have.

"Rho, would you quit that!" Expertly, Adi plucked the winged floox away, and turned him to face her, staring at him with stern eyes. "You be nice! And you, too," she added, shaking her finger at Phlox. "If you can't share you'll both have to just go on the ground."
She tucked Rhodos under her arm for a moment, where he grumbled and squirmed. "Sorry."

If he had not already known how well Adi could handle flooxes, well, the Dragon King would have been convinced now.
"It is alright." Really. He knew from his own floox that the little creatures were prone to mischief and quite unrully.

The winged floox continued with a litany of critter complaints, while Phlox looked a bit smug and soon resettled himself. "Um, anyway," Adi returned to the conversation, giving Rhodos a gentle shake, at which point he quieted and she offered him to Xun. "I'll tell him, I guess. If you're sure."
In other words, if this didn't go well, the dragon was going to be in trouble!

The now calmer floox was accepted. Really, Adi had done a very good job at taming him - he certainly did remember how it had been when she had first caught the little creature.
"Quite certain." He would happily take the blame, really.

Neither floox seemed particularly happy to be sharing, but desire for attention apparently trumped annoyance, at least for now, and they both cuddled up to the god...just not to each other.
Now that the Serious Conversation seemed to have concluded, Adi could ask more about fun things! "So...what's an alchemist, anyway? I've never heard of that before."

Aha, he should have known he would not escape Adi's curiosity that easily ! "An alchemist is someone with the knowledge to turn various herbs and materials into potions. Some heal wounds, some restore your ability to cast spells... And some are purely cosmetic." Like the potion of illusion.

Adi's ears flicked forward in keen interest, and it took no time at all for certain possibilities to enter her mind. "Is that something someone can learn?"
Because...magic and cool things! How was it that night elves knew all the cool stuff?

"Of course. I could never quite make heads or tails of it, but it is quite learnable." If one was not afraid of explosions, at least. There was a large potential for mischief there, but who was he to try to stop it ? Really.
"Through the only one I know that could possibly teach you is Whisteria. I was never any good at it, and neither was Elik."

"Awesome!" That was fabulous news! So many magic-type things required some sort of mysterious innate ability she rarely had, some aspects of druidism being the exception. But if someone could just learn to make potions...
Adi so wanted to make potions. How cool would that be? "I'll ask her!"
And attempt to acquire Night Elf Teacher #3.

"I am sure she would appreciate a student..." And maybe get some help with the shop later on, if it was needed. Adi's excitement was just as endearing as it always was, through. She was really so, so adorable.
"And also more babysitters probably would never hurt." He was quite amused, indeed.

"I could do that! I think. I've never really done any babysitting before, but I did meet Yu's kids once..." And she'd hung out with her cousins, who were sort of younger sometimes but that didn't really count.

"It is not really hard when they're really small. You just need to know how to hold them safely for the most part." She remembered Illithor being so scared to hold Elik at first, afraid he would break him. "It is when they start running around and getting into everything that it truly gets... interesting."
To be honest, he kind of missed it.
