She didn't want a song. She didn't want a song at all. In fact, the thought of a song brought a roaring to her ears that was mildly reminiscent of the jeering crowd that spun around her at the Colosseum - even if it had been a delusional dream, it certainly felt real.
"A song sounds nice," she lied, doing her best to force a smile on her face. Fake it, fake it. Anything to make him feel better.

As though relieved by her agreement, he lifted his guitar up from beside his chair, slipping the strap over his shoulders again before checking the tuning, "Just enjoy the rest of those strawberries and get comfy okay?" He smiled a bit more honestly before glancing down at the instruments and gently started playing. He didn't sing along, letting the strings do the work.

Sasha listened to the song politely -- only because he seemed to need this more than she did, and she really didn't want to deal with him looking hurtful. After he finished, Sasha offered him a smile. A forced smile, but it was a smile.
She wasn't sure what else to do. Everything had been juggled, upside-down, topsy-turvy.
"I need to think about moving out of my room," she blurted, pressing her lips tightly together. "Just because.. it's. It's a big step."
Sasha cleared her throat and fussed with the blanket that covered her lap.
"I need some downtime. Alone. Things've been pretty hectic."

It hadn't been the response he had been hoping for, but at least she was smiling. He lowered the instrument, brows raised- they had been sharing a room for a while now.
It had been a long time since he had had a room of his own, and he wasn't sure he liked it.
"Yeah, yeah of course. Understandable." He forced his own smile, swallowing the disappointment. She needed time to recover. No use in smothering her. "I didn't want to... to just... um. I didn't mean to- er... t-take your time. The offer's not going away."
