Professor Morgan Clearheart
Head of Ravenclaw
Bloom Madly. Vibrant Display of a thousand blossoms.
"Now that you all have had an opportunity to write an essay about asphodel to test your knowledge, I will teach you the many usages we have for it. Remember to take the necessary notes if you have forgotten to add bits to your essays" Professor Clearheart spoke with a vibrant tone as she flicked her wrist, to which the chalk began to write on the blackboard.
Asphodel, also known as the Royal Staff, is a relative of the lily family and is native to Europe. The ancient Greeks often associated it with the death and the underworld, as they believed there was a meadow of asphodel in Elysian Fields. It is considered sacred to Persephone, goddess of the spring and queen of the underworld. The powder created from the root of Asphodel is used to make Wiggenweld potions and Draught of Living Death.
"In the next bit, I will be teaching you aconite."
......Always a patient professor.
