"I know. Doesn't make it suck less though. No," Deryk frowned as he put his trowel down, not really wanting to build any more right now. There were still a lot of things going on through his mind. And he didn't really like the way things were going all that much.
"Eh? Not right now. And what. No. Not addicted. Just enjoy it. A lot. Yes," the trainee said with a hint of indignation.
"If anything, you're addicted to butts. Yes."

Ariane shrugged, "No. No it doesn't."
She pushed the bucket of cement to a corner with her foot, and then tossed the trowel down beside it. Deryk's trowel was then kicked in that direction.
"I like all butts and I cannot lie," She replied, patting the male on his behind as she said that, "Unlike someone who likes coffee so much that it's an addiction, but he still can't take the first step to admitting it."

"Nothing to admit. If I dun got an addiction, I dun got one. That's like.. making me admit I'm addicted to cigarettes. Dun makes sense," Deryk said while scratching his head.. accidentally getting some cement in his hair.
Getting up, he looked at their handiwork. It wasn't too bad over all. For amatuers at this at least.
"Think that's good for now?"

"Yeah, I think it'll hold," Ariane paused the moment she noticed that bit of cement. It was a tough choice, letting him figure out how to get dried cement out of hair, or being nice. Since she couldn't decide this, she took out a coin, and tossed it in the air.
Tails.
"Hey, bend down a bit," She instructed, one hand on her hip.

Ariane, being of average height, reached up to his hair, and pinched the cement off his hair between her fingers. She wasn't being gentle, and she wasn't trying to be gentle... Not that being gentle would help here, seeing how she was aiming to get as much of the cement off as possible. No doubt she didn't get everything, but she figured that whatever's left would just eventually dry up, crumble into bits and pieces, and be swept off his head.
"I'm wounded that you don't trust me, Deryk," She said, wiping the cement off on the top of the bricks that they had just laid down. She then wiped the residue off on his coat, "So wounded. After all we've been through together."
Hint: Not a lot, really.

Whining, Deryk stared at Ariane.
"Well ya had to flip a coin about it.."

"The hurt now is better than the hurt that would have been," Ariane replied with a shrug, raising an eyebrow at Deryk, "Hey, be grateful that I care about you enough to waste energy on taking out a coin, deciding on what each side of the coin meant, and then actually flipping it."

Deryk didn't seem too happy to hear that. She might have been teasing, but sometimes it was hard to tell with Ariane. Besides, he had been in a bit of a weird mindset himself lately.
