ZoieAmandaSaxon Violet the Maestro ZoieAmandaSaxon Violet the Maestro Maybe a thread for F.A.Q.s where we can make a nice bolded post about the lack of item grants. There was one thread that had me worried about possible hacking/phishing attempts. There were a few, and one both Kan and I reported it and nothing was done. That's why I figure some big announcement should be made. It'll warn the guests to be aware. Agreed, I mean I posted there as well as many other people both saying that it was a scam, but no one cared or listened. We shall make them care then! And I think I know the thread...it was the super long one where they wanted you to click the heart button right? I think I was also one of them who posted there.

Perhaps we should include a link to the FAQ post. Sure, there might be some people who don't click it, but it might help clear up confusion.

But, I think it would be a good idea to have a link to the FAQ within each of the rooms. 3nodding As for the having a fancy banner in the announcement, we can ask if they can throw something together for us or if we can supply one. They make or may not roll with it, but it never hurts to ask! Advertising would be so much easier if we had more control over the announcements. blaugh Mule posts for plot updates would work just fine, but it might get a little confusing if everyone was trying to update the same contest. People generally send entries to one account, and dealing with entries usually take a TON of time. So, it would be suicide almost to have all of the entries for everything sent to a mule. I think maybe it might just be easier to have someone who is going to be on almost all weekend to be responsible for contests, especially king and queen. You might be able to get away with art and writing on a mule. 3nodding

It would take some tweaking, but it cold work.

Yes! and include that saying there is an item knowing there isn't is considered spam! D< that thread kept a ton of people confused especially when the poster clearly stated, 'like this thread and you will get a mask' a Ball F.A.Q. would be extremely helpful. maybe even have that done by a mule and that way during the ball the hosts can even keep an eye on it an update it if any users post good questions? obviously not updating it for every question asked, but the good ones we may not have thought of?

I would very much like to have a pre-ball forum of some sort for the public... something like a Green Room, Drawing Room, or Foyer, where we could make announcements of upcoming things, do teaser trailers and reveals over time to build excitement. This would give people the opportunity to plan ahead more for their characters, maybe make avi art or save up for items that would complete their looks, and choose their favorite room in advance (maybe one week prior), including code for them to put a banner for their chosen room in their signature: Quote: "Come Join Me in (My Favorite RP) at the 11th Annual Ball on (This date)!!!" This way we could have pretty much anyone interested getting their own friends interested and excited well in advance!

Personally, I love reading the the plot of the ball no matter how long it is, but we get a lot of "TL;DR" posts where people find the text too long to read. Maybe, to keep these posts down, we encourage our posts to be somewhat shorter. Not like "one sentence quick blurb" kind of posts, but maybe not several paragraphs? At least in the rooms. Make sure they understand the plot without losing the interest of our less-reading-inclined guests.

Maybe stalk Barton Town a bit as I am sure that forum is at 100% fault here with all of it's RPs where you need to essentially audition to join them by submitting sample RPing text then if that is approved, submit a character sheet for approval. Only then you get to actually roleplay.... You know, mimic how they set up their rules in their roleplays saying that you don't have to do any of those things and everyone is already pre-approved. -_-
