"Um, no?" Jade said slowly shaking her head. "At least I didn't think it was funny. I mean, I don't really get how it would be funny...unless it was like, pitch black or something or maybe if we were somewhere completely devoid of sights like the graveyard or something..."

"I'm blind," he finally snapped, realizing that it was possible that this idiot mare didn't know. Maybe she was as blind as he was, or possibly just dense. Of course, it was also possible that he was just being too harsh on her. But he dismissed that idea as soon as it came.
Huh... so the little fellow was blind. She shifted her gaze to the large, green mare to see what she was going to do with that knowledge.

"You're...oh..." Jade muttered as the truth finally sunk in. Well, didn't that just make her look like a dense dummy Debbie. "Hey, I'm, uh - I'm real sorry. I didn't know. I'm sure you're about ready to choke me...Again, I'm really sorry about the sights comment...and the are you blind comment and anything else incredibly stupid that I might have said along the way..." She lowered her head experiencing a new and unfamiliar feeling, mortification.

He hesitated, uncertain what to make of that. He had, of course, expected her to mock him some more. Or possibly revel that she had known all along and that she had just been messing with him. That she was apologizing... yeah, that wasn't what he was expecting at all. "Er... it's....fine?"
Oh yeah, that sounded sincere. Seb shook her head slightly. These two were clearly a couple of awkward peas in a pod. This had the potential to get very amusing, or very painful to watch. She debated for a few seconds on whether or not to keep watching. She supposed she could speak up, let them know she was there. But that seemed like way too much work. She could go and find a warm rock to nap on. Again, too much work. Or she could stay there and see what happened....

Jade blinked. He said it was ok? "Really?" She questioned out loud, the disbelief evident in her voice. "Dude, I acted like an a** to you." The mare shook her head again and repeated, "Listen, I seriously am sorry. I'm just a little clueless sometimes...well, maybe a lot clueless some times. Is there, uh, anything I can do to make it up to you?"

Yeah. This mare was definitely throwing him for a loop. Why was she apologizing? She clearly hadn’t realized his condition. He was pretty sure now that she wouldn’t have said half of what she had if she had realized that he was blind. Maybe? He was starting to confuse himself.
“You don’t have to…” he started, then stopped himself. He clung to the one thing that had always done well by him. The armor that had protected him in the past. His crankiness. “Why would you even want to make it up? I mean, it’s not like you even know me. It’s not like you OWE me anything. We’re total strangers to one another. So why bother now?” It was never a good idea to let others get too comfortable with him. That usually led to them trying to take advantage of him. Assuming that wasn’t what she was doing now.
Oooh, the short little fella was starting to show some spunk. This was getting interesting. Maybe the mare would do or say something stupid next. She certainly seemed inclined to do so. After all, she had gone running off at the mouth before. And the short one was clearly very sensitive about his blindness. Maybe he’d gnaw on her ankles a bit. Heck, she might even be dumb enough lean down far enough for him to bite her nose off. Seb started taking bets with herself on what would happen next, though that was pretty dependant on what the mare did. Good money was on the green mare putting her hoof in it again. But if she didn’t, then the short one would probably just grump some more. Or, Seb acknowledged to herself, they might start getting along….. Nah…

"What, hey - easy!" Jade snapped. "Haven't you ever heard of karma? Do good things, good things come back to you, act like a dumb a** and it's like the song that doesn't end with one moron showing up right after the other." She paused mid rant and added with measured control, "I am just trying to put a little more positive energy out there. I think I've had enough of morons for a while, you know?" She sighed and stomped her hoof, "Well of course you know, you've just had the displeasure of dealing with one for the last....well, you get the idea. Sorry for bugging you buddy. I guess I'll be on my way then..."

"is it my turn to talk now?" he asked, wryly.
Seb rolled over slightly, quietly. This was getting boring again.

"Fire... fire what at you?" Was that another blind joke? She couldn't play ignorance this time. Was she trying to pick a fight with him? She had claimed not to be, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. The worst sort of bullies were always the ones who pretended they were nice. He bristled, prepared for another attack.
Seb shook her head slightly. Clearly the little one was way too sensitive. She spared a thought to wonder if he was as sensitive physically as he was emotionally. How high would he jump if she threw a rock at him? Eh. That would be far too much trouble, she decided. She'd have to find a rock, first, then actually go through the effort of throwing it at him.... nope, way too much work.

"Well....you said you wanted to talk, didn't you?" Jade said calmly shifting her weight from one hoof to another. "So, fire at me. What is it that you want to talk about?" She swished her tail with mild impatience. Now Jade wasn't the best people person to begin with and she knew she was almost no good at reading anybody, but what was with this guy? One minute he was all upset and the next he was asking questions then upset again...she couldn't figure anything out about him.

“I never said I wanted to talk!” he protested, annoyed. Who had said anything about him wanting to talk? He certainly hadn’t! “I asked if it was my turn to talk. Just because I asked if it was my turn to talk doesn’t mean that that I WANTED to talk or even that I had to anything to say! All it means is that YOU kept rambling on. I’m not rude. I don’t interrupt people!”
He also, apparently, didn’t know when to shut up. Did he even realize that he was keeping her there when she probably would have happily left already? Really! And what was with this whole conversation these two were having. It was already starting to sound repetitive. Seb couldn’t remember the last time she was so bored. She would go back to sleep if they weren’t talking so much. So neither had any people skills, and they both clearly didn’t know when to shut up. She should leave. Yeah. Just get up and walk away. Except that would involve getting up. And walking. Away. Eh. Way too much work right now. With the way they were going, she didn’t doubt that they would probably be on their way, leaving in a huff very soon. All she had to do was… yawn… wait it out.

Jade rolled her eyes and huffed, setting her rump down on the ground. "Is there anything else you'd like to not say?" she asked making herself comfortable. It seemed like she just might be here for the long haul and at least this little fellow was almost entertaining.

“Are you trying to make a joke now?” he grumbled. “If you are, it’s not funny.” There was no punchline. Jokes should have punchlines, shouldn’t they? At least all the jokes he had heard were. Unless he WAS the punchline. Now that he thought about it, most of the jokes he had heard in the past had been at his expense. Though, hard as he tried to see it, he couldn’t see how her comment would be a joke at his expense. As he said, it wasn’t clever and it wasn’t funny. He took a deep breath and tried to take a mental step back. He knew he could be overly sensitive. He had been in the past. Was he being one again?
Was…. The green mare… really sitting down?! What the heck?! Didn’t she realize she was getting in the way of Seb’s nap? Honestly. Did these people have no decency at all? It was disgusting. Never mind that they didn’t know Seb was there. It was still rude that they continued to disturb her.

"Actually I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on in that little head of yours," she said with some amusement. "You just keep getting angrier and angrier for no reason, I mean, not for No reason. The bit about me now knowing your were blind, and again, I am Sorry for those comments - well that you have a reason to be all mad at me about but really...the rest of this? You need to take a nice deep breath there, dude."
