Hel hummed again, her fingers deftly working at braiding Mot's long hair. "Ah…I suppose…I mean…I think it is good that…you know what you need to do, Mot…I truly do." The ghoul reached the end of the braid and slipped a hand into the front of her tunic and pulled out a hair tie. She tied off his hair and then took her seat next to him once more, straddling her bench with her legs on either side so that her knees were touching his legs.
The reaper made a face at his next words, her lips twisting. "Ah, excuse me, Mot…Something better? Something with a purpose? Are you saying that if I want to make a meaning out of my life through strife and conflict, that it is…not without purpose?" She raised a brow, and then poked a finger into his side and then paused, thinking about what he said now. "…Nah…I think simplicity is the best solution honestly, Mot…so I think it sounds like a good idea…"

Mot chuckled nervously. "Sorry! Poor choice of words!" Mot said with a sheepish grin. His eyes rested on her as she sat with him, a content smile on his features.
He nodded, "I thought so. I dunno, listening to the lectures just gave me such clarity that I haven't had in a while. Life has been so muddled lately." He shrugged lightly, still smiles. "It's nice to trust in pure facts."

Hel nodded her head a bit, reaching up to twirl some of her stray bits of hair around her finger. "Clarity…" She murmured, looking over at the weaving she had started before looking over at Mot. "Muddled…ya…things are still muddled for me…heh…pure facts…nah…" She waved her hand a bit. "I have not had the backing of those for a long while…"
She smiled a bit. "Well…I am glad…it seems like you are starting to put yourself on the right path…and that is good…" Hel trailed off, falling silent as her eyes hooded in thought.

Mot leaned in, raising his brow. "I said my piece Hel. Your turn."

The ghoul raised a brow as he leaned in, as if she was challenging him. She didn't put up too much of a fight though…after all, a promise was a promise, and she didn't have anything against talking to him anyways. "Ah…geeze…" She reached up to rub the back of her neck.
"…This is probably going to take a bit…ah…after we moved on…we went through this tunnel and were prompted to drink from a chalice…and when we did, a mark appeared on our body…it had to be done though, so that we could advance…" Hel paused. "…We were at the Hunter Head Quarters, Mot…we were there." This still left her in awe. "…The head priestess of the horsemen…she was able to disable the barriers…so we waited until then, and once they were down…we leapt into action…I followed Shun to where they held Mitsu…we fought to break down their back up barrier…and then even had to fight off one of the Hunter leads…he was a fruit cake." She snorted.
"After, we broke through the barrier and then found the captured students…Shun…at some point I swore he thought he was dying…he seemed so…so weak…but he regained his strength and we followed the rest to a jungle out post…and there was another large battle then…then…" Hel paused and then sighed deeply. "Everything was consumed by crystals. Everything…the land, the hunters, the students…everyone around me…and then…me…I was so…so certain, Mot…that I was done. I would cease to exist. I never felt so sure about it in all of my existence. Eventually I was completely consumed and…well…everything ceased…but then…then we all came back…" Hel shrugged, looking at the cowboil with a look that clearly said 'I don't know how.'

Mot listened quietly, though his brows furrowed at the mention of a mark. Was she... branded? He shook off that thought and kept listening. Like most trips, this one seemed riddled with danger. The Hunter's Nest.. how terrifying. They were tricky beings, not quite human but not at all Halloween. Conniving, brutal. To be surrounded and still make it out....
Hel had stared down death. A chill ran down Mot's spine, swallowing hard at this information. What caused it all to go away, and return them to normal?
"So.. you all got out of it safely?" Mot asked carefully.

“Mmmm…” Hel thought about that for a moment. “…Physically…? Yes, I suppose we made it out safely…mentally, on the other hand…” She smiled a bit wryly. “…Ya.” Her gaze fell downwards. “…Mitsu…she does not remember a thing…what did they do to her…? I do not know…and a lot of others…you know…when we returned to consciousness from crystallization…once again, the head priestess offered us another choice...to seek power…but on the other hand…the school secretary gave us a way back to Amity as well…”
Hel signed and her entire posture slumped as she sat on the bench. She leaned, resting her head against his shoulder. “Everything use to be so straightforward…now it is not. I can not tell my a** from a hole in the ground now a days.”

He knew about Mitsu. Poor Mitsu. More like poor people who knew her. She didn't seem to remember anything, though she seemed weakened. He nodded stiffly, his eyes casting downward.
Mot was hopeful Hel took the path to Halloween. Hel was a big ghoul and could make her own life choices, but the Horsemen had goals of their own. Taking their path was truly turning away from Halloween, as far as he was concerned. He did not like the air about them. It was heavy. Wrong. Mot would fight, but he would only fight for his home. For Halloween, by Halloween standards and practices.
Mot smiled softly, placing a hand on the back of Hel's head as she rested it on his shoulder. Softly, stroking her hair, he hummed thoughtfully. "Everything seems so much bigger than ourselves. Kind of feels like a baby Floresce being tossed into a jungle, you know? Foreign and un-trackable."

The path to Halloween she did indeed take. For now. Who could say what would happen in the future. Just as easily as she had turned away from the path that the Horsemen had offered she could just as easily get back on it. They had been given that option as well.
The reaper sighed again, her eyes slipping shut as she felt Mot’s hand in her hair. She let out a soft, disgruntled sound. “I do not like that feeling. Not one bit. I need to be the biggest Floresce out there in that jun--…Hey wait…should it not be an ocean…? I mean, that is there those minis go, right?”

"Nope~ A jungle. Because what could be more confusing to a floresce than something with so little water?" He explained, smiling to himself. Such a brilliant analogy! Aaaaah, graced with such intelligence and creativity, yes? "An ocean they at least understand the basics. A jungle is new, with many many things. So much goes on underneath it all, they'd have to truly start over as a being to comprehend."
Mot wrapped his free arm around her shoulder, patting her back lightly. "Ah, but you're stubborn and persistant. You'll learn the ways of the jungle. You'll be the biggest, meanest Floresce there."

Hel lifted her head to stare at Mot now, her brows furrowed in the utmost contemplative look. At first she seemed to not be convinced, but the longer she let it rattle around her head, the more she could see it…a bit. Hmmm…
“Ya but…” She weakly started. “…A Floresce would not be able to do anything in a jungle…it would just…flop around and…oh…never mind. I get it, and it is a good point…” She muttered. She huffed, and then pulled her legs up and wiggled under his arm, where she then made herself at home right on his lap. On the bench. It wasn’t the most comfortable of positions, but Hel didn’t care as she now leaned her head and torso against his front, sighing again. Her legs dangled over his and the bench as she just sat there, enjoying his presence.

Mot smirked lightly. She never said it in so many words buuuut..
He won.
Mot held Hel close as she took over his lap. He took in her presence, her scent. Soft, two toned hair, firm muscles, soft skin. His Hel. Always his Hel. Mot rested his head on top of hers, swaying lightly. The day was saved. It wasn't as bad as he thought anymore. Encounter with Shun was... not forgotten, but subdued in his thoughts. For now.
Mot squeezed her close again, a happy smile returning to his features. Lethargic he had been, but with Hel? Things were good. Somehow.
"I missed you."

She wrapped her arms over his as he held her close, and she was more than content to stay wrapped up in this embrace right now like that. She didn’t think of this as odd, or maybe wrong, or maybe pushing the boundaries of their so called ‘friendship’. She just did what she wanted, and right now she just wanted this.
Hel blinked as he squeezed her, looking up at him and staring at him as he said he missed her. “…I missed you, too.” She murmured. “…It did not feel…whole…right…without you there…” She muttered, even softer than before as she turned her gaze elsewhere now. Always shy about saying something heartfelt.

"And I didn't feel right watching you go. All of you. I still stand by my stand but.. it felt wrong." All those years fighting alongside them, only to watch their backs disappear into a portal while he stayed. It was the most heartbreaking thing he'd ever seen. Life moved on without him. Sad, but true. Time did not simply stop because of him.
"Hopefully, if there is a next time, I'll be there with you all." He paused. "Unless it goes against every moral fibre in my being. But still.."

Hel tilted her head to stare up at Mot, and she couldn’t help but make a face and sigh. “On one hand, Mot…” She muttered, “I support that you made a decision and stuck to it…that is really important…it makes me proud…but on the other hand…” She smiled up at him a bit. “I just wanted you there.” The ghoul fell silent as he spoke up again, and made another face.
This time she stared up at him, a rather serious look on her face. “…Mot…would you not do anything for those you care about? I would. I would do anything.”
