Her half-hearted grin softened into a grateful smile. He really knew the right thing to say, didn't he? "T-thank you. I'll try to do my best to help out now that I'm here again!" She giggled a bit at his question - honestly, there was no way she'd ever have been able to afford a dress like that! Even if she had wished, sighed and dreamed most ardently about it in the time leading up to the prom; she just didn't have that kind of money. "Sadly not, I mean, it was really expensive. But so gorgeous!" She gave a dreamy sigh of remembrance. "I guess it's s-still just one of my dreams. I don't wear dresses all that often, anyway," she picked lightly at her skirt, "excepting this one, of course."

His expression didn't falter, but the fact she called the dress "really expensive" was a hint that she was not from a family that was financially well off. Nysa was certain if he went in to look at the price, it probably wouldn't have been that expensive. "It is a fortunate thing that dreams rarely have price tags. Though it still is a pity that you never managed to get the dress. As I recall, the fashion industry has probably already carelessly tossed such a wonderful piece to the side, under the label of 'unfashionable.' It is ruthless to be fashionable." His mother worked in the industry as a model, so he did have a decent understanding of the ins and outs of her side of the industry. Her mention of a lack of wearing dresses did cause him to lift a gloved hand to touch the bottom of his lip lightly, as if he was thinking. "It is a pity to hear this is the only dress you frequent. It complements your form quite well. I would think you would look quite lovely in other dresses too, Miss Vanadis." She hadn't been fishing for compliments, but he was never the sort to skimp on them either.

"That's just sad, if they really did that to that pretty dress." Vanadis looked sad as she said this. "I mean, just because something isn't the most popular fashion right now doesn't mean it's not beautiful." She thought for a second before brightening up, "But hey, maybe that means I can get it on sale now! If they still have it somewhere, that is."
And then he went and complimented her, and well, what else was there to do but blush? Which Vanadis did very well by the way, although her new complexion did clash a bit with her hair.
"Oh, um, t-thank you, that's very nice of you to say." She looked shy, fiddling with one of her pigtails. "Maybe I'll keep an eye out f-for one again."

Nysa couldn't help but enjoy one of his guilty pleasures. A blushing young lady. Perhaps it was the slight hint of vulnerability that made it just so lovely to look at. The added little quirk of fussing with her hair was just an added bonus. At least Sailor Vanadis appreciated his compliments. Keeping his own composure to his same standard level, he mentioned "I can see if I can find the dress for you if you so desire... I do have a pretty good memory for these sorts of things." Obviously the fact he remembered Miss Vanadis and their first time meeting could be seen as proof enough of such an assessment. "If I am able to locate the dress for you, I shall contact you. Okay, Miss Vanadis?"

"T-that would be amazing!" She practically had stars in her eyes over his offer. He'd keep an eye out for the dress for her! "That's so kind of you, really, thank you!" Truth be told she had no idea where to even start looking for the dress, so this was amazing - she couldn't even remember the name of the store she'd seen it in back then.
"But wait, how will you let me know? Do you, um, have a cellphone like we do?" Her brow was creased as she considered this; if he didn't, she could always tell him her address or something - surely if they were on the same side, there'd be no harm in that?

The edge of his smile quirked up slightly at her logical question. He briefly closed his eyes before holding up his right hand, rolling his wrist in a manner that showed off his hand. Upon his ring finger was an elegant golden ring. With his eyes still closed and the composure of a public speaker, he replied "I will reply with my signet." There was an odd confidence in his tone, and soon enough he opened his eyes and explained a bit further. "I merely need to write you a message then press my signet to it, and the message will go to you." A chuckle escaped him before he confessed "I have honestly not had a reason to use it yet... so perhaps you will be the first."

Vanadis ogled the signet ring. That was so cool! So, so sophisticated! Somehow, she thought, a beautiful magical signet ring suited Nysa much better than some gaudy modern cellphone. Not that she wasn't happy about her cellphone because seriously, she was, she loved that thing it was so handy, but, well, a signet ring was classy.
"That's so awesome! And really, like, elegant? I mean I'm glad I have my cellphone, but there's just something special about having a magical signet ring, you know." She nodded sagely. "And I'd be glad to be your first."
Okay backtrack a bit, because that had come off slightly wrong, "Er, you know, first magical signet ring mail receiver-person."

He took his hand back for a moment, only to notice the girl's momentary pause at her own awkward phrasing. The Page could understand why it was awkward. Truly, going to school for Hillworth had truly taken away a lot of his innocence, if only by the fact he was constantly in the presence of the sorts who would purposely make indecent suggestions out of such an awkward phrase. "Well, Miss Vanadis, I suppose it is time for me to bid you adieu. I need to continue with my patrol, and you need to continue surveying the surroundings." He winked at the girl, hinting that he knew the whole time that she had been falsifying what her actual intent was. Once more, he extended his hand to the young lady, this time in departure. Ephebe FUN FACT TIME: I totally wrote in my original post something along the lines of what Vanadis said/misinterpreted xd heart

"R-right!" Vanadis nodded, luckily skating right over his vague hinting. "You have an, um, good patrol and don't get beat up by any bad guys, OK?" She looked a bit worried at the prospect of Nysa encountering a baddie; truthfully, he seemed far too elegant and refined for battle, although, she considered, it was entirely possible that he was actually a better combatant than her.
She grabbed his hand again, giving it another enthusiastic shake and a large smile to go with it. "Be careful, and it was n-nice to meet you!"
((Haha! XD Oh dear.))

"I will try my best, Miss Vanadis." She once more shook her hands with his locked in hers quite fiercely, and Nysa couldn't help but chuckle. "It was indeed quite nice to once more make your acquaintance again." Though the girl seemed insistent upon shaking his hand, he briefly moved his hand in an insistent manner, lifting it to his mouth and giving the tiniest peck of a kiss upon her knuckle. The kiss was ever so wobbly due to her energetic motion, and somewhat gave him a minor punch to his own face, but it just felt so improper to not depart in such a manner. He eventually released her hand, backing away and offering a partial bow of his upper body before bounding off to the nearest building, clearly resuming his patrol.

Vanadis looked embarrassed as he kissed her hand, although whether it was the kiss or the inadvertant punch she'd given him, even she weren't quite sure. In any case, it was an embarrassing habit he had and it was just a tad weird OK, not least because she had no idea how to properly react to it. It was all formal and stuff, and surely there was a very formal, proper reaction to it as well? Maybe she ought to google this when she got home.
In any case, she gave his retreating figure a wave before checking her surroundings. Right, nothing here - maybe she best just get home before anyone more nefarious than Nysa found her.
Yeah, that sounded like a good idea. Goal in mind, Sailor Vanadis set off for home at a brick pace. One powered encounter a night was more than enough for her.
