Tahki stare at Charlie.
"I guess I can't really help you than. Its up to you to not be afraid of that letter." She leaned over and gave him a pat on the back. Hugs weren't her first instinct.

"But you're a gryphon!" Charlie whined. "Aren't you supposed to be courageous or something? Can't you give me a bit of your courage?"
Charlie looked up pleading to Tahki. It was quite pathetic.

Tahki wanted to laugh again but didn't. It was true that courage was something a gryphon was known for but actually sharing courage sounded completely ... well no. It wasn't all that weird.
"Charlie all you have to do is choose not to be afraid," She shrugged. "I dont know many cool guys who are afraid of letters... uh.... bro."

Charlie just hugged his arms closer to his chest.
"Thats easy for you to say. You're a gryphon. I'm just a demon." He sighed. "Sides... What if the letter says something mean?"

Tahki looked dumb struck that Charlie thought so highly of her kind with himself being a demon and all. Usually demons did not have such a favorable out look on monster kind. Even if Charlie was dim it was still a little surprising for Tahki to hear what came from his mouth.
The shock faded quickly though. Tahki was in comfort mode.
"If it says something mean than won't we have a lovely bond fire with it? Smores maybe too." She smiled, "I have some orange marshmellows?"

"More of what Tahki? More of what?" The smores were lost on Charlie but marshmellows and bond fires weren't. He managed to at least smile a little.
"Well. Okay. I'm not gonna read it right now but now I feel better." Charlie hopped down from her bed and began for the door. Before he opened it to leave he gave her a thumbs up and a dumb smile. Than he disappeared in to the hall ways of the monster dorms.

Tahki was left on her bed alone again. Charlie had gotten what ever it was he had needed and left. Now Tahki was left on her bed a little confused. Her cat gave a loud meow at the freshly shut door and went to sleep upon Tahkis luggage.
She'd need to unpack soon.
