Jerry didn't look convinced, his eyes locked on the tombstone.
Finally, he murmured again quietly, "I need to find my Jerry Place."

Again with the Jerry place. Candace closed her eyes. "You'll find it. And there're plenty of us here who'd be happy to help you find it if you want us."

The man made a distant, noncommittal noise in the back of his throat before returning to his strings. His guitar articulated his current frame of mind a lot better than his mouth could.

She listened to the song he played with a quiet sigh, her head dropping to rest on his shoulder again. So tired. "You'll be okay, Jerry." She mumbled quietly, sounding more and more tired by the minute. The song was sad, the guitar playing was soothing. "Killzone would want you to 'keep fighting, ********> Candace fell quiet again, humming along to the song he was playing.
"With every mistake...we..must surely be learning~.." She sang under her breath, her voice fading a bit.
The weight against Jerry would soon seem much heavier than it was when Candace was awake.

"Allan said..." He began softly, but paused his playing as she slumped against him. For a brief moment, panic gripped his heart as irrational thoughts fired wildly through his brain. Not another one- don't drop- poison or- who was attacking- he didn't hear a shot- But as she gave a soft sigh he realized oh, just sleeping.
Gently, he eased away to lean his guitar against the headstone where it wouldn't fall.
He wouldn't be gone long.
And maybe someone else would want a little... quiet time.
Gently, he shifted, easing his leg into a good position before lifting her up as best he could. She was out like a light. Whatever she was up to was taking it out of her. He'd... catch up some other time. At least figuring out how to pull her up onto his back without jostling too much, and how to keep his balance once he had her there and walk forward provided a distraction he could concentrate on.

Candace was easily lifted, simply shifting unconsciously until she was comfortable in whatever position she was forced into. She nuzzled her face against the warm thing she was being held against, sighing quietly and settling down again. She wasn't waking up anytime soon.

Jerry concentrated on his feet as he made his way up the dormitory steps one step at a time. He wasn't quite sure which room was her's, he had been there once but it was long ago and far away and filled with static and ebbs and wobbles, but he knew she was up here now.
Well. He wasn't planning on sleeping any time soon anyway. Carefully, he elbowed his way into his barren room before gently laying her on his proudly obtained sofa.
Once she was settled, he stood, arms limp at his sides as he watched her shift in her sleep. With a sigh, he turned to shuffle back out the door.
He had a Jerry Place to find.
