I'm entering for the first box! Name: Kalina Meaning: A Slavic name meaning "flower". Owner: ~Spazzy_the_Wolfie~ Prompt choice: Prompt 1 - Stranger danger! Prompt response:
"Ikaio! Ikai- ow! Stupid branch.." Kalina struggled to push through a particularly dense patch of brush, keeping an eye out for her brother. She would win this game of hide and seek, even if she.. uh, managed to get lost in the process. But she would win! With all of this walking, she was sure her brother was nearby. "Ikaio, where are you? Come out, come out, wherever you are~" She cried out, pawing away at the branches and plants before... there! She was out in the open again, stumbling into a clearer patch of the woods. Gathering herself from her stumble, she grinned and set off once more to find her brother.
"Brother, where are yo- Oof!"
It was a rather short trip, with her bumping right into another Ulaya. Knocking her head against theirs hurt! She let out a whine, immediately pulling herself away to soothe the pain. "That really hurt, Ikaio..." Kalina trailed off, realizing that this was a complete stranger. "I... ah, sorry.." It wasn't one of her siblings, and it certainly wasn't either of her parents! They looked like they were an... Undulcan? With leather wings and everything. And they were a grown up!
The kit opened her mouth to speak, but stopped herself, going quiet. Kalina was unsure of what to do. Introduce herself? Run away? She would have been fine with another kit, but this was an adult. Might they be dangerous?
She didn't want to risk it. Without another word, Kalina dashed back the way she had come. Talking with strangers probably wasn't the best thing to do, so she'd simply backtrack and try to find her brother that way.

Fennel was so excited. Today, for the first time, she was being allowed to explore, away from the watchful eyes of momma. She wiggled slightly. Now which way should she go? Having tuned out the list of rules and warnings momma was setting out, Fennel never realised that she wasn't really going to go alone. She was expected to go with her siblings. But she never heard that, being too caught up in her mind. What kind of things would she see?
As soon as Hanna sighed and stopped talking, Fennel took that as her cue to set off. Not even bothering with more than an absent 'Bye,mom' she took off at a run, not caring about where she was going, but just the fact that she was. She ran for the sheer enjoyment, not really even paying attention to the outside world she had been so eager to see. For now, she simply reveled in her freedom.
Too soon, her lungs cried out for more air than she was taking in, screaming in protest at an exertion they were unused to. Muscles ached and burn making their complaints known. Ok, I guess I might have over done it just a little. Fennel decided that now that she was unable to run more, it would be a good time to look around and explore. Bright eyes widened as she looked around.
She was in a ~forest~ at least, it was what she had imagined a forest might look like when momma and daddy had described them. The trees really were tall, and looked like they went on forever, not at all like those on the plain she was used to. And there were strange groupings of leaves and so many other things. Curiousity impelled her forward. She walked carefully over to a bush, ears alert, listening for the sounds of predators or something that might be out to hurt her.
It was so strange looking, leaves covering thin branches that looked… furry…in a way. Reaching a paw out to touch it, to find out just why it looked furry when she heard it. A crashing like something big barreling its way along the path, trampling twigs and other things that lay in its way. Her eyes widened in fright. It was big, and headed her way. It would probably trample her. She didn't want to end up a flattened kit. Looking quickly from side to side she looked for a place to hide. But there was nothing… nothing except for the bush.
The sound came closer, and she had no other choice. Taking a deep breath, she dove for the shlter of the bush.
Ok, those were definitely not fur. They hurt. Fennel darted back out of the bush. Only to be confronted by her siblings laughing so hard the only thing holding them up was each other. 'That was so not funny.'

Owner: CaffeinatedBunny Name: Kaisho Meaning: Fly over the sea, Japanese origin Reason: The name just seemed perfect when I found it. His mother is named after a Babylonian sea goddess and her scales remind me of a fish. His father is the other Undulcan in the family, so I wanted to cover that aspect. Also, his coloration is very similar to his mothers. I'm insanely curious to see if he ends up with scales as well. It'd make his name perfect. ^-^
