Mei let out a small laugh as the ghoul hugged her repeatedly. She was glad to have met her when she did. Danny was a sweet ghoul, and this visit was exactly what she needed right now. Though, eventually, she would have to begin to tackle her school work..
Trying to decipher the demoness' words again, Mei finally smiled and shook her head. "No, I'm alright. For the most part, I seem to be in good health. I don't think there is much the school nurse can do for me. But thank you for offering." Leaning back a little, Mei stretched her feet out. "Walking also doesn't seem to be an issue for me at the moment either, so no worries."

Danny was confused. To her knowledge, Cricket could fix everything. She was magic, with her little magic magic bugs. She always had bandages when Danny fell down and scraped herself up!
"How come Cricket can't fix it? What's wrong with you?" she asked naively. Danny wasn't trying to be blunt or rude, it just ended up coming out that way. She just wanted to know what was wrong with Mei, and- more importantly- how she could fix it.
Without thinking about it, her hands slid over to the snotcorn. She cracked the bag open and began eating that too. Her resolve to give the food to Mei was entirely broken. Such was the life of blissful ignorance.

"Um.." Thinking over the best way to describe it, she settled with what the lab tech had told them during the tagging. "Its um..according to what they told us, whatever they had done, its fastened to our core. From what they had said, its not something that can be removed." Her shoulders sagged a little. This was..something she didn't really want to talk about at the moment. "Anyways, its nothing life threatening. Not that I know of, anyways. So there's no need to worry I think." Or so she hoped..

Fortunately for Mei, Danny didn't push because she didn't think to push. If Mei said she was fine, she was fine. She didn't know the ghoul enough to know when she was lying, and Danny wasn't intuitive enough to know the difference between a truth and a lie.
"That sounds scary, but I guess if you're okay ..." she said, shrugging. She smiled and decided to change the subject. "D'you wanna hang out some time? Like this weekend or something?" She didn't add details or dates, but gave the ghoul a goofy smile to imply that she meant well.
