The goblin remains and the princess will die
the right road to Faerie is the blink of an eye...

User Image

After class Angela retreated to the dining room with her sketch book and her lunch. She soon found herself seated alone at a table with her lunch to one side and her sketch book and pencils in front of her. She was sipping idly from a juice box while quietly working on a drawing she'd started a few days ago. Things were rather quiet (sort of shockingly so, considering) but it was kind of nice. For a change, Rui was no where to be found so she could actually draw in peace without hearing him rattle on about Danielle and her amazingness.

Though she had to admit it was kind of lonely too. She was too used to his antics--or if not him, Mac or someone else would be doing something crazy and loud.

The school felt a bit like a ghost town. It was kind of creepy actually...

MAC MACPHEE

User Image

Macphee burst into the dining room, a swirl of colorful bubbles trailing in his wake. His usually bright smile faltered as he took notice of the fact that there was only one other person in the room, and it was someone who had, in the past, shown absolutely no interest in his magic tricks. Damn, where was everyone? did they have any idea how hard it was to get bubbles to follow you places? And it wasn't like hiding the machine that made them was easy... or comfortable for that matter. Disgruntled, he swooped over to the only occupied table and plopped down, awkwardly working a long, circular device up out the back of his coat and over his head by squirming in a way that made it appear as though he had insects in his pants. "Quiet today isn't it? Did we miss the rapture or something? If we did... I'll probably blame you for corrupting my innocent soul." He smirked, and grabbed hold of the device, giving it a slight tug to dislodge it from his back. "Not that it would work. I'm pretty sure religion doesn't work like that. Still... You get my point. Where is everyone? Feels like three fourths of the student body died. Or just dropped out. Left school. Decided to become things like traveling minstrels and rock band roadies. The halls are all pretty empty... What if everyone has become zombies, and for some reason, the only ones left alive are the student council members? That would be crazy, and I would totally be happy I was on the council for once. Not that I've even really done anything. Not much to do when there... aren't any students. Seriously."

He shot looks left and right, his hat miraculously staying on his head as he swung it back and forth. "I'll bet, that the cafeteria food got a spell put on it that made everyone who ate it turn invisible... and noiseless. So they're actually all here, but we can't see or hear them. Maybe I'm just having a dream where no one is here except me and you, though... I'm wearing pants, so that doesn't really seem likely. I don't know, but it's really boring with nobody around." He leaned an elbow on the table, stuffing the bubble making device into his coat. He then produced an apple from somewhere on his person, took a large bite, chewed, and swallowed before continuing to rant. I haven't talked to anyone in ages, except for that security guard at the mall, and he wasn't really a conversationalist. No one has been seeing me do magic tricks... I'm getting stir crazy. BORED. You know? You're not supposed to get bored at school are you? Not a magic school. For wizards, or casters, or whatever we call ourselves."

Luke Cole

Feeling his hungry over whelming him, Luke made his way into the dining hall. It was filled with chattering students sitting in individual groups whilst eating and catching up on the newest happenings.

Not feeling entirely settled in, Luke awkwardly stood near the door and scoped the room looking for a place he could sit without bothering any of the other students. He scratched his head and found a spot near a very colourful boy. (McPhee).

Luke wondered how he was going to fit into this school, and what it would be like when he finally made friends.

"Maybe it's a zombie apocalypse?" Angela suggested. "With...a distinct lack of zombies? There really doesn't seem to be anyone around, does there? Except..." That guy who'd just walked in. She watched him sit next to Mac wordlessly without looking at or acknowledging either of them.

She shook her head slightly and glanced back at Mac.

"You can feel free to take your pants off if it'll make you feel more secure. In fact, while you're at it, you should do a little dance on the table. At the very least, it'll be entertaining for me." She leaned her head on her hand, giving him an amused look. "I'll watch your magic tricks if you like. I mean, I can't promise to be impressed since I know it's not magic, which kind of takes some of the excitement out of it."

"But I'll still watch. And...appreciate the skill it takes to shoot bubbles out of your coat?"

Darn! He accidentally skippe------- No.. Lost looking for the previous class.. And just made his way to another area.. Soon as he poke his head at the door.. Lots of students were already there.. Ugh.. Canteen??

Sweeping his hands inside his pocket, Chris walked while looking each and every student chattering while eating their lunch. Bunch of disgusting losers.
And out of no where, he accidentally bumped on something..

"Hey!"

His body moved after colliding unto something warm and....A boy with a silvery hair with green jacket.."Sorry.." Still looking at the male, at the corner of his eyes. Caught on the white haired mammal just across the area...

Why is it white haired baboons infesting this school nowadays???

"Uh.. Want to eat lunch there?" he finally spoke to the guy without thinking

Luke Cole

Luke noticed a white haired girl look at him and shake her head... He was confused as to what he had done wrong, but he decided to not worry too much about the concept.

Whilst sitting at his little table pondering the universe and the school he found himself in, he felt something, or rather someone bump into him. The sudden collision caught Luke off guard. He looked up at the boy with black hair.

Not being able to process the fact the boy had spoken to him, Luke sat their silently for a few moments before snapping out of his day dream and replying to the boy.

"O-Oh.. Y-Yeah" he said nervously and gestured his hand at the empty seat in front of him.

"I-I'm Luke" he stammered and managed to pull off a slight smile. Maybe this could be start of a friendship Luke thought as he fiddled with the sleeve of this jacket.

MAC MACPHEE

User Image

Mac snickered. "I'm sure you WOULD like that, wouldn't you? Too bad I always wear a pair of emergency pants, in case a situation in which I forget my main pair arises." He grinned. "Darn useful for when someone tries to grab ahold of you. One hand on your coat, the other on your belt and they think they've got you, but then bam! They're left holding your spare clothes and you're escaping into the night... Not that this has happened to me before or anything."

He scowled slightly. The subject of "real magic vs. stage magic" hadn't come up in a while. He still found it quite frustrating that most everyone he had met at this... this... fairly interesting but also a bit unimaginative school seemed to think that, just because they could ACTUALLY make fire shoot from their fingertips, figuring out how to do it without magic was completely uninteresting. "I think you're just not giving stage magic a chance." He said, taking another large bite out of his apple. "Sure, it's not "real" or whatever, but that's not the point. Everyone except for the youngest children already knows that stage magic has some sort of logical explanation, but that's not where the entertainment value lies you know?" He took another bite of the apple and swallowed before continuing. "The entertainment is in trying to figure out HOW the illusion was created. How did the magician manage to make it look like he burned someone's shoe to a crisp, when really it was glued to the bottom of someone else's chair the entire time? How did he make the dove disappear from the cage and reappear underneath his hat?" He took one last bite of his apple before whipping a handkerchief out of his sleeve, flattening it onto the table, and placing the now exposed apple core in its center. "How did he turn the apple core into a fifty cent piece?" He said as he began to fold the handkerchief over the apple core. "or, if you want to think about it "The boring way" How did he manage to switch the apple core with a fifty cent piece by folding it into a handkerchief?" He yanked the cloth upward, and, instead of the remains of an apple, a large coin dropped out of the now unfolded handkerchief and clattered onto the table in front of him. "I don't know, but I'm thinking it certainly pays to recycle."

"Isn't that what I'm saying in the first place?" Angela said, amused. "When you know there's a trick behind it, you don't appreciate it for the same reasons. There are lot of things people lose excitement for once the mystery is gone. When you're younger, horror movies terrify you because they seem real but once you're old enough to understand how the effects are done, they lose a bit of that edge."

"You can still appreciate the artistry behind the movie or the skill it takes to create a suspenseful scene, or realistic effects but it's not like they're scary anymore. You don't spend years terrified something from the movie is going to pop out of the closet--at most you might find the imagery disturbing. And on top of that, when you have real horror to compare it to, don't you think it would become even less frightening. I mean, if you met a real zombie and it was a hundred times more terrifying and horrific than any movie effect and you managed to fight it off--wouldn't zombie movies become a bit laughable? I mean, your entire point of reference would have changed and by comparison, the special effect suddenly is even less impressive."

"I suppose stage magic is similar for me. From my point of reference stage illusions just can't compare to the real thing. I mean, I can appreciate the skill that goes into creating a good optical illusion but otherwise, you know...it pales compared to the real thing." She sighed and leaned her head on her hands. "It's not like I'm trying to crush your dreams of becoming a stage magician--it's just, you know, pick your audience? I do still appreciate the skill it takes to hide a bubble machine in pants and not walk like a monkey?"

Cain Terrence Haliwell

Cain slowly moved inside the caffeteria taking a tray nearby from the counter. He could hear those students murmuring at the sight of him. Maybe a normal reaction when they see someone new in school? Whatever.

Soon as the server passed on the plate and his preference, Cain silently proceeds at the aisle looking for a comfortable place to chill. His eyes caught on the white haired girl tagging along with a student with a hat. And there was this white haired boy and a guy with an opposite hair color.

Cain paused for a second upon standing next to the table, looking at the two (Angela and Mac).

"Would you mind sharing the table and seat? I've been looking around for new acquaintances."

Showing a slight curve on his lips

Looking on what they were doing, Cain saw an apple and a hanky. What the hell were they doing? a roleplay perhaps of Snow White? returning his gaze being quite observant to all. He would definitely thought of looking around to some others places.

Chris returned his attention back to the guy who called himself as Duke. Rubbing the back of his neck while sliding himself at the vacant seat across him.

"I'm Chris.. Nice to meet you..."

He blinked for a moment before opening his mouth once again.."..Duke.. So.. How do you find this school? Suitable for your own taste?" He could just have said, Disgusting school or silly, suck or whatever!

Tapping his finger against the table, he took out a small packed gum from his pocket, tampered it and chew.

"From what department are you in by the way... Duke?"

Luke Cole

Looking at the boy, he noticed he said his name wrong.. Duke.. Oh well, Luke was too awkward to correct Chris. He nodded subtly as he introduced himself. "Oh yeah.. The school is.. okay I guess.. Heh" Luke awkwardly replied and looked at his hands on the table.

"Oh.. I'm in the music department.. You?" thinking about this boy he seemed very straight forward.

"You can sit here,"Angela said, a little glad to see some life in the room. In addition to the pale haired boy who couldn't be arsed to speak to them before joining them (though he appeared to be opening up a bit so perhaps he was just shy), "Leo" had showed up. And now another boy she had yet to meet.

"I'm Angela by the way. You seem like you must be new here. What department are you in?" She moved down a bit, to make room for the new kid but also because sliding down a little put her in the perfect place to casually reach under the table with her leg and lightly kick Leo in the shins while still giving Cain an innocent smile.

"Stop picking on people...."Leo." She said, emphasizing his name (which she was still convinced was fake). "At any rate, I'm glad some others finally came around. The cafeteria was so empty, we were beginning to think we'd missed the bloody zombie apocalypse or something.

((I am skipping Mac due to the fact that Magic posted a hiatus about moving and that he won't be posting this week))
