Mephistopheles failed to avoid the superheated air, and suffered huge burns for it. He sent a pointless blast of electricity at the murkrow.

Well. Sienna was at a loss for what to do - oh, "Enide, Psycho Shift!" 'Wish I'd thought of that earlier though,' she scolded herself. It was silly little things like that that had cost her a gym leader position. She had to get her act together.
The Murkrow was also relieved to hear that command and remember that move. Using psychic energy, the murkrow propelled her burn onto the Duskull.

Sienna gave their next move some thought. This would nullify all their other moves so far in the battle but there wasn't much else to be done..."Haze!" Sienna called.
The Murkrow unleashed a blanket of cold fog over the stadium, undoing all of the previous status changes to both pokemon.

Mephistopheles felt his burns and his defenses disappear. Electricity raced down his arm, culminating in a large blast that he fired at Enide.

Enide flew quickly out of the way of the blast of electricity racing towards her.
"Heat wave, but do damage this time!" Sienna called. They had no room for type advantage moves now but she was glad to be rid of all that status mess.
The Murkrow blew a gust of flaming air at her opponent once more.

The Murkrow's energy was completely fried once she was hit with another burst of electricity, and she fainted.
Sienna recalled her back to her pokeball as soon as she fell. "Good job Enide," She spoke to the pokeball. "Thanks for the battle!" She waved goodbye and exited the stadium.
