Wake up.

It was the first thought in his head, instinctual, habitual. Senga's eyes opened to blurriness, the crystals dissolving away from his skin and letting him fall. His wings snapped open, but too late. Knees buckling, the Executioner hit the ground, shoulders shaking, memories diluted apart from the sudden absence of those who'd been with him before. His head whipped around, and his wings unfurled, gave a few heavy pumps and then he crouched and with a powerful kick, took flight.

He remembered Jay being taken - remembered seeing Soren of all horsemen as well - where were they now though? Where --

A loud noise crashed through his thoughts, and Senga flinched, wings stuttering for a second before he turned to move towards the sound.

Maybe Jay would wind up there too. He could only hope for so much.

- - - -

Madeline was not exactly sure when she woke up, only that when she did, she was falling over on her a**, and the ground was not at all pleasant to land on.

It was strange, being suspended in sweet nothingness, only for the moment to shatter - literally - all around her, sending her tumbling back to reality, without memories to help her out. All she could remember was fire and crystals and ---

ARSEN?!

There was silence, and Madeline panicked for a moment before the shine of her anchor bracelet caught in the corner of his eye. There was no voice to accompany it, but the Sun trainee felt a trickle of relief --

A sound crackled through the area, and the girls head snapped up. What the hell was going on now?

Madeline looked down again at the bracelet, and clamping her fingers protectively over it, picked herself up and started walking in the direction of the noise.

It was almost like she had awoken in some strange alternative dimension where all thoughts were hazy. But immediate thoughts cropped up into her head without a moment's doubt: Jericho. Sammy. Malodore. She needed to check on them both, but it seemed like the quicker she got up, the quicker she was reeling.

She...

she would have to take a moment. But even then, regrouping. Regrouping was important. Who was she regrouping with? Why did they need to? Images seemed to flood into her head and she groaned, holding it in both of her hands before she made an effort to stumble towards what seemed to be the growing gathering place.... regroup.

Regroup, then piece things together.

--

Eris.

Eris was the first thought that came to mind. Then it seemed like Aisa and Cymbeline came into his peripheral of thought, telling him off for not thinking of all three of them at the same time. And his mother..... she looked at him for a moment before the thought of a phoenix ripped through her, causing him to open his eyes and frown just so much before he seemed to calm again.

Strange how when it all weighed down at once it was so much heavier... but he didn't have time to think about that for long.

He needed to see just how his girls were doing. After all, last time they hadn't checked, they'd had to go on a search for their little straggler.

---

Nic?

He didn't answer. As Cass slowly began to move again, she noticed the few hunters who had been grabbed, reaching for her weapon before discovering he wasn't responding to her: At all. Part of her was worried he'd left her.. and yet...

she couldn't do more right then besides to look for Marcus, Leon, and Bix. She had to follow up on the family, then she'd have to go after the problem that had just arisen. She was too shaken to do too much at the moment without some consultation.

Waking up felt awesome.

Poke felt peaceful. Rested. She had been on a long journey, and she had obtained what she had sought after- whatever that was. And now she felt better then she had in a long time.

But this lasted only briefly, as she recalled the suffocating feeling of being encased in crystal. Stretching her wings out, she reveled in the ability to move once more.

She looked around. All the crystal was gone, leaving only the gloomy feeling of being in the fog ladened area. The dragon had had enough of being here, now it was time to get the jack out of here.

Jumping into the air, she flew towards the jungle portal.

--------

Asta sighed happily, stretching her arms and feeling refreshed and peacefull for some reason. She couldn't remember what had happened, but all she knew was that she had done it, and all was well.

Or was it?

In a few moments, the fairy was on her feet, panicking and flailing and holycrapwerewaseveryonewasn'thtereagaintjerichoohmyjackwhatwashappening

And then she flew back to the Jungle

--------

Was this heaven?

It certainty felt like it. With it's warm light and it's serenity. Jason breathed a sigh of relief, thinking his trials were over. He could stay here and be safe and

...Wait, no it wasn't.

The Moon hunter stood shakily, remembering that he had been surrounded by crystals, and now they were somehow gone. What kind of force had been able to drive it away. Oh well, it didn't matter. He wasn't dead, that was for sure. He then realized he could not feel Zanthvos in his mind. Panicking, he searched for his sword, but it wasn't there, and then hands went to his chest. Wait, no, the brooch was there. And as he calmed down, he realized he could sense his weapon. He was still there, but asleep, resting.

It was then he felt something beneath his feet. The earth was moving...no, it was alive somehow. He could feel something close by, watching him. It wasn't...he didn't think it was evil, though. Like a protective presence maybe.

As he tried to take a step, his legs gave out, and he feel to his knees. For all his peacefulness, he still felt tired...

Hope, or luck, or whatever continued to bring them all back once again provided. One moment blackness, the next Seiji was dropping to his knees, gasping for breath he no longer needed, but habits, even old, died hard. Slowly he fell to his side, his hands raising up to press along either side of his head as shut his eyes against the unfamiliar surroundings he suddenly found himself in. He didn't know where he was or what was going on, but the flash of jungle around him, the scents, the sounds, all of it seemed painfully familiar. From events long since past.

The island, he was on the island. Not in memory, but in reality, and he blinked glowing eyes open to stare around himself, grasping at any fragment of memory that would clue him into why he was here once again. The sight of his classmates, and even the horsemen, was a comfort, even if small, and he felt a small knot of tension ease from his shoulders as he rose to his feet.

Bits and pieces struggled to reform in his mind, and vaguely he recalled the plans of a rescue mission. He pressed his lips into a thin line as he searched the faces around him, sighing in something close to relief when he caught sight of Mei. If she was among them then they'd succeeded. ...Or had all been captured. Either way they were all together again. Which reminded him, he had someone to find. Right hand raising to rub along his left shoulder, the boil moved through the bodies and trees, searching for person that meant everything to him. He'd seen her, right before then end, so he knew she was here.

------------------------------------------------

Resignation and acceptance did not in fact make death any easier. Even being of Death, in the end, Even Nergui had been scared. No, scared didn't really come close to covering the chill and hopelessness that consumed your entire being when you were forced to confront you're own demise.

She awoke slowly, puzzled and exhausted, fingertips curling into the ground beneath her as if testing if what she was feeling was indeed real. Only then, when she was sure of the rubble and dirt between her fingers, did she open her eyes. The scene around her was exactly as it had been before the crystals had consumed it all, but in that moment it was not familiar to the priestess. She didn't know where she was, what she was doing there, only that something in the air called to that part of her that whispered through her mind when it was quiet. Home.

Cringing, the horsewoman pushed herself up, gathering her legs beneath her so she could stand. She needed to get out of there. Pull or no pull, fragments of memories were collecting, reforming, and she wanted nothing more to do with the collapsing buildings and shattered roads around her.

Weakly, still dazed, she left the place that continued to call to her. Retracing old steps, half forgotten, back from where she'd wandered from. it seemed like days before, she was tired enough for it, but it had only been hours, maybe less. She had to get back to the others, to Soren. The single name that stuck in her mind. He was safety, he was comfort and calm. she had to find him.

Sherry’s eyes opened slowly, as though she had been waking from a lazy afternoon nap. For a fraction of a moment, she might have been. She let out a small sigh, and then pushed herself up into a sitting position.

“Hmm?” Why was she on the flo—She remembered standing. Standing as something…as she had… “Armagnac?” The glaive was gone. Sherry’s hand flew to her wrist; the weapon’s desummoned form was there, though Armagnac was silent. “Thanks,” she smiled at the cuff on her wrist. Thanks for being there.

Sherry sighed again, and lay back on the floor. She was tired. It was then she felt something entirely knew. A strange sensation seemed to come up through the floor, and to Sherry it almost seemed alive. But it was not something that filled her with fear, but rather more calm. Almost like she was safe.

The feeling was clouded as more images and feelings came to her mind, like a dream trying to be remembered. Alarms, crystals, pain, fear, and calm. Sherry rose to her feet, remembering the feel of the crystals as she did so. Something bad had happened. But somehow, somehow she was not dead. She remembered accepting death. Had it been a dream?

A distant sound caught her attention. No. Not a dream. Just the way things were. Sherry remembered the urgency she had felt earlier. She needed to go, she needed to help.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 9:24 pm
It was kind of strange. Suddenly the pain had vanished. Though, given the position he was in, Deryk ended up falling to the ground once he was freed from his crystalline prison. Staring at the floor, he felt... confused. He remembered fighting for his life with his fellow Death comrades with the urge to save everyone on the island. Everything else? He... was having trouble recalling. Right now at least.

Tooley was no longer summoned, but he could still kind of feel her resting in the back of his mind. There was no worry there.

Even so, he slowly pushed himself to his feet, trying to make sense of what had just happened.

Time ticked away though Mitsu never would have known it. As the gold light spread eating up the crystal that had consumed them moments before the lycan found herself exposed to the air once again. For a long moment she was frozen, her eyes still shut, her body stiff and unmoving like she was still trapped in her cystalized state. Then all a once she took a breath, deep and frantic like she had just surfaced from under water. Her eyes flew open and she grabbed hold of the first thing she could which was Shun, wrapping her arms around his neck like he was a life line.

Moments passed by as she took on this new state of confusion, bewilderment clear as she looked around before her gaze settled on the one holding her. They were...alive? Maybe? "Where..." Her voice trailed off into a quiet rasp, uncertainty clear. It seemed she was more confused than she had been before.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 27, 2012 9:36 pm
Even after the crystal ebbed from his body, Shun continued to hold her close to him. When he realized that he was capable of movement once more, his eye slowly opened to look around. He wasn't sure what had just happened, but he felt a great sense of relief to see that Mitsu was freed as well. Letting out a breath, he held her more gently.

The reaper was uncertain of what had just transpired. It didn't matter. He had her back. Also it seemed that the battles had died for the time being.

Letting out a breath, he rested his head against hers for the moment, only pulling back as he heard her speak up.

"Not home.. that's for sure."

The hunter's island... was that where they were right now? He was trying to remember but it was all very sketchy at the moment. It had felt like a dream.. everything. But obviously he had to have gotten here one way or another.

Alexander awakened with a gasp of air that he didn't necessarily need before he was coughing with his hands on his knees, and eyes clenched shut. He felt groggy, and almost as though his thought process was detached from his body. What had just happened? Where was he? A growing sense of dread as his eyes flickered open, as though he'd lost something incredibly important to him that he just wanted back.

"Yin?" His voice was low, hoarse, as it was known to sound just about every morning that he 'woke up' from a nights slumber, if he chose to sleep at all. "Yin??" More frantic, his eyes wide. There were other names, but that was the one that came to mind first, the one that he felt like was most important, his other memories hazy, pieces of a puzzle that didn't quite fit together. A feeling of immense loss, that was the most pressing of his concerns right now. But then another memory leaped out of the fog, and that was that Yin had been found, they had been reunited. He turned a little, his eyes landing on the other boil, his face nearly breaking out into a smile and then...

A noise, something to draw his attention. They were in the right area for it, whatever the sound was, it wasn't far off. He turned back towards the weremantis. "Stay with me?" He murmured, a question, asking to not have to go and face what was next alone as slowly memories began to slip back into place. They were on..the hunters island, right? Yin had been taken..and that's why he was here? It was still too hard to work out in his head, but he would still wait for the one that he did manage to recognize before going to investigate the sound further.

Slowly, the doll began to wake, her eye fluttering open. If there was one thing she hated most about the human world, aside from hunters, it was how bloody bright everything was. Wincing, she covered her eye with the back of her head, hoping for the light to just vanish already. It was then she realized that she was free of the crystal coating her body. Staring down at herself, wide eyed, she was speechless to see that all the crystal, everywhere, was gone. Why? Had something happened?

Clutching at her wounds, she was relieved to find that the crystal was gone from those as well. Maybe it was all a dream? Maybe everything that had happened--that she thought had happened was a dream! Glancing down at her wrist, she was faced with a bitter reality when she noticed the bracelet still clamped around her wrist. If that was there..then whatever it was they had put inside them earlier..it was still there as well. Sighing, she dropped to her knees, gripping at ground, as she tried to contain her disappointment and rage over the whole situation.

Maybe..maybe the teachers would be able to help them..? Maybe one of them would have some knowledge on how to get rid of what they had inside them..? Clinging to that bit of hope, Mei got to her feet once again, gripping at the tree for support.

Everyone was still here, Tybalt and the others..they were all alive, all waking from the weird crystal like illusion--if it was an illusion. But they were safe, all of them. The hunters were all still here as well, most of them--if not all of them--were waking as well. They probably wouldn't have much time if that was the case.

Staggering about, Mei groaned as the pain in her leg spread, combined from the one in her arm. Those crystals were as sharp as knives, that was for sure. She now began to question how everyone else was fairing. It was possible that other students had sustained far worse damage than she had. If that was the case, it was possible she might be able to see to their wounds as soon as she had regained her strength. It would be the least she could do after they all came and risked their lives for them. The horsemen..she wasn't sure about. She had been shown many things while in captivity. They had many dark secrets, and she didn't believe that their intentions on coming here, to Deus, was to help her or the others who were captured. It was likely, that had other plans.

Not sure what to believe, Mei furrowed her brow and started towards the rest of the group again, only making it a few feet before dropping to the ground again. Okay..so she hadn't quite regained most of her strength yet. Taking in an unnecessary breath, she tried again, taking it slow for the time.

Bul.. It looked like she had a second chance to get home to him. She only hoped that whatever the hunters had done wouldn't be something that could jeopardize the safety of Amityville. If it did..well, she would have to think of that later. Right now, she just needed to get home and sort things through, as well as make sure the hunters didn't get their hands on the rest of the students here.

Chosen.. Yeah, she felt real special about being one of the chosen six. There was nothing special about what had happened here. Nothing at all.

--------------

The crystal had coated her body entirely, giving her no chance to take down the enemy she had targeted. The only thing she could think of before she was consumed, was that this was a shity way to go down. If she died, she wanted to go down fighting the enemy until she was worn out and couldn't stand any longer. This death..was too peaceful for her. She hated this death. It sucked. But at this point, there was not much she could do about it.

Kat awoke to much confusion. The feeling of being smothered to death by the crystal still lingered, causing the sun hunter to continuously pat herself down as if to make sure that it was all gone. After doing this for a while longer, she through herself back onto the ground heaving out a large sigh of relief. The hell was that? Was it all just an illusion? Whatever it was, she definitely didn't want to see it again. Not any time soon.

It was possible, maybe, that it was caused by one of the invading horsemen..but who, she had no idea. Maybe the division leads would have more knowledge on the situation. She would have to question them later, and find out for certain.

Sitting up again, she glanced about the are, looking to see if any others around her were waking up any time soon. Well..they had all been consumed like she had with the crystals, so if they were going to wake at all, it should be now. Maybe now would be a good time to take them out and be rid of these annoying pests that plagued Deus' door step..

Xedis..? She called out mentally, groggily. When no answer came, she tried again a moment later. Xedis..! Still nothing, only silence. Was it possible that Xedis was still effected by the crystal like she was? Was he still sleeping maybe? Well, this was a hell of a time to be asleep, now wasn't it. All of the enemy was here, and she was practically useless without Xedis for the time being. Sure, she could probably use some melee attacks to try and take them down, but against horsemen, and Halloween denizens who likely still had fear to strengthen their attacks, she was at a great disadvantage. Bloody hell, Xedis! Why won't you answer me already! Wake up! Still nothing. Only silence. She was beginning to wonder if now she was really crazy. Because hearing his voice in her head was far more sane then hearing no voice at all.

Grumbling, the hunter rose to her feet, staggering a bit, feeling a little too light headed to be standing right away. Sitting herself back down, before the ground found her first, Kat took in a few deep breaths before trying again. The second time was definitely better than the first time, this time she was actually able to keep from falling over. But her head felt as though it might explode. This was something that usually happened when she had slept in too long. From what she could tell, she wasn't out that long, so this headache was a little unfair to her. Maybe a side effect of the crystals..? Who knew?

The pain from her recent cut left by the crystals was evidently still there, as she winced and placed a hand over it. The crystal itself was gone completely. That, was good news. As cool as the blood like crystal looked, she didn't want it coming out of her own damned wounds.

With Xedis not answering, Kat decided to go and check on the progress in the jungle. Hopefully, things were going a lot better then they were here.

Just like that, they were back. The great grey dragon was freed once more. Well. Sort of. Crystallization didn't really work too well with them. The shards practically shattered, taking the dragon within with them. A roar resounded as this happened, as he could feel something come back to him. A sense of self. It was all practically instantaneous, but to him... it felt longer.

Flashes of images and words came to him. Words of his friends telling him that he would not have the same fate as Riley. Reassuring him that he would be alright. He wouldn't turn out the same. Their smiling faces. He could see this too. As well as almost feel their embraces and headpats and such as they attempted to comfort him. One friend in particular even went as far as to bringing him cooked meals now and then. They believed in him, even while he was all but a broken soul. He hardly believed in his own future, but that didn't sway them.

Jericho could remember talking to Riley with Malodore, saying they would forge new memories. And maybe see if they could help her reclaim her old ones. There was also the promise of flying with his best friend for once she got better. When her strength returned. There was a sort of warm feeling within him as he could now recall those times of flight. Moments of joy and serenity while he soared over the lands with his bonded rider.

This all came to him in a matter of moments. Seconds. And then it was gone from him as it they were all but a fleeting thought. All before his giant form dissolved. The outline of the gargantuan creature lingered briefly before all there was left was fog. There were no traces of him afterwards. No student. No dragon. No statue.

Only the mists.

Well. There was one thing for certain. His friends were right.

He did not meet Riley's fate.

For one, pure, simple moment Yin was completely at peace. Who he was, what he was, where he was...none of it mattered. He was at peace. Then memories began to surface. Vague ideas of worry and concern, Alexander, Princess Eva. There was a voice calling out to him, a familiar voice.

He turned, feeling the sense that something was wrong but not quite able to place it yet. "Of course," he replied automatically. It was still confusing, but he would go with the zomboil wherever, that was okay...right? Why did it feel wrong then? Why did he feel like he was not supposed to leave?

Why did he not care where they were going anymore?

It was strange, waking to watch a pair of large blue eyes high above peer through the mists and then disappear, like he had woken up to the tail end of a story he had slept through on accident. Only who was telling it, and who was he or she telling it to? He tried to rouse himself, growing a smudge irritated when his body wasn't immediately responding to his will. Why again?

Rigor . . . Rigor mortis. Mortis. Mort. He was Mort, but that didn't feel like the full picture either . . . But it'd do for now. He didn't want to question the peace too much flowing through him, lest it break the delicate state of being. It wasn't something he believed he felt too often for some reason.

Only then something disturbed him to his core, a loud screech that seemed to vibrate through the air and call too him. What was . . . Ah right. Not too many questions now, Morty. It was enough that names were already coming back to him of their own accord.

Zombielike in every sense of the word, he shuffled forward.

~ ~ ~

He could sleep when he was dead. And today was not a day to sleep, but a day to take a deep breath and settle. Mellow. It had been a long time since he'd felt this way. He wanted to take it all in, suffuse it into his body for all time.

Yet even so, he felt the calling. The itch of some dust-riddled memory coming to the surface: white and gold, painted with beautiful blood. Shouts. Sweat. He had to return to that.

Peace was good. Revenge was better.

Lifen woke up with the end of a whispered song in her throat, a soft murmur escaping from the moment she had lost her song, and her legs wobbling from under her as her body realized she had crystallized in such an odd formation. After a split second of fooling gravity, she went down, her legs giving up from under her, a weakness from what felt like a long sleep that sapped her limbs and left her gasping on the ground, nestled in a bed of dark hair, eyes wide and staring at the sky. The calm, calm sky.

She allowed herself stay on the ground, as she tried to concentrate on what had happened. It came back slowly, drinking the water, having her hand held - a feeling of loneliness spreading through her before a panic had regained her and left her in the jungle. She had been cut, hadn't she.

Slowly, she slithered a hand down and touched her leg softly, trying to feel the wound that she was left with, but only soft skin pushed back, unmarred and clean. At this feeling, she sat up, looking down at herself again, hands palm up in front of her eyes, eyebrows furrowed as she felt everything click in to place. Where was she -- where was Mengyao? Lan? Soren? Her scowl stayed on her face as she tried to listen for any tell tale signs, a feeling of dread overcoming her as she thought hard about what she saw of them last. She . . . worried. Less of the latter two, having known they left the jungle of their own will. But . . . Mengyao. . .

This last thought had her standing up again, dusting herself off from the fall. It didn't happen, if anyone asked. She would seek her answers out. Slowly but surely.

[ I am a ******** laze. She's gonna go straight to the Lair, as per.

Lizzy wasn't sure what had happened... Just that it was as if she had jolted awake from a dream. She couldn't even tell if it was a good dream or a bad one, just that she seemed to have fallen asleep. However, she didn't wake up on her own bed or Mac's. If she did, his warm arms would be around her right now... So where was she?

Her eyes fluttered open, and she blinked, trying to take in the sights and sounds, trying to make out what exactly happened-

"Jericho?" She muttered to herself, frowning at the sight of a large grey dragon in the distance; that was silly... Jericho was a red dragon. He even showed her his natural form once, when they were young, inexperienced Snots. She remembered them talking about their future. About purpose- That was before insanity attacked him, driving him down a path they never did predict for him back then.

As the dragon turned into fog, Lizzy's eyes widened, the sight of a good friend vanishing before her eyes causing her enough distress and shock to push her out of her confused state from before. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out; instead, tears welled up in her eyes as she took in one shaky breath, hugging herself tightly; was that dissipation? Will she see him again soon? Will he reform soon? Is there a place for him to reform on this island? He wasn't the same loud, confident boil she had a crush on back then, but she had enjoyed his company all the same. She wanted so desperately for him to be fine that she kept telling him that. Kept telling herself that...

After all, they say that if you tell a lie enough times, you might even start to believe it. It might even come true.

When her eyes could no longer hold her tears, she pulled her legs to her chest, lowering her head to her knees as she closed her eyes, letting herself cry for the umpteen time that month, "Jericho, don't make me a liar... Please."
