"Arden grew up very fast," he looked over to Arden who was still doting over poor Horus, not unlike a fawning mother especially to younger beings such as he. "It was merely less than a month before he grew--and then grew again to this." Sige looked upon the grand antlers that rested on the deep brown buck's head, trying to actually help Earnest John this time although it wasn't like he completely grasped the entire situation himself. Looking back at the shopkeeper he gave a little shrug of shoulders.
"I didn't want Arden --at first," the buck glanced at him briefly at these words. "But you'll find you can't get rid of them, don't want to get rid of them." he let out a short chuckle, shaking his head. "So I suppose you're out of luck with that."
Sige moved closer to the troubled man, giving him a sympathetic look. "I'm--still figuring that out. But maybe get him used to the shop instead of keeping him here." his reply was sincere, besides though he did not entirely agree with some of Earnest John's ideals, he was someone who had helped him out for many years already, although it was a mutual benefit for the two.

Sympathetic looks and Earnest John didn't go hand in hand -- not in any way, not from any side. As Sige stepped closer, dark eyes fixed on him in a way that was almost dangerous. Gods help the man if he went for a hug, or even a reassuring pat on the shoulder; one hand clenched slowly into a fist in preparation.
He was not some dumb woman complaining about every little thing. He was a grown man with a bull in his china shop. And that was close to literal, close to being more than just a metaphor --
"Well, you aren't much help, then, are you." It was snappish, instead of grateful. He frowned at Horus, who turned in place to nuzzle at his flank, bite at something on his fur. Oblivious. And disinterested. "I'll deal on my own, then."

The man was not offended the least bit by how the other replied. Perhaps more than used to it as well as being rather patient. "Well I certainly cannot take him as my own." he said calmly to the other, arms crossing on his chest. "No, I'm not much help," Sige admitted. "Because even with mine, I have no idea what I'm doing with him." Blue-green eyes watched the taller buck all but force his affection on Horus.
"They're not just some animal, Earnest John." he turned fully to the other, arms still pressed against himself. "I suppose the only thing I can say is---- good luck."
