Keilana was relieved to see that the young boy was not cowardly and had even come back to help her. Honestly if it wasn't for him she wouldn't of been sure how to get these people down without resorting to killing every single one of those birds. Looking up in annoyance as the blasted things has indeed only been distracted for so long and were already on their way back to them she looked to the boy, listening to his suggestion.
Sliding down did seem a lot more practical than trying to carry the elder man, especially now that they were under assault again. Shifting she gentle slid him off of her own back and carefully began the procession of sliding him from their current platform. If a bird got too close she would stop moving reach for whatever rock was close at hand and throw. Part of her wished to have thought to bring the shield for at least she could lay that atop the unconscious man and have less to worry about with the idea of the bird attacking him.
One platform down she nearly stumbled to a sitting position, bah this was not like her. Hating to look weak she pushed herself onward until they had managed to get down tot he next platform. Once the ground was actually attainable Keilana made sure to take advantage of this fact and perhaps rushed to get them there. A more bumpy road, not as smooth and controlled as the other times but she didn't care...once on the ground there was an end at sight to this madness.

The boy did his best to work with Keilana, keeping calm in the face of their daunting circumstance. Whenever the Leaf woman didn’t have a free hand, he’d take the opportunity to cast a rock at one of the hard-headed birds. So eager to attack, they were. It was unbearably frustrating. The boy could feel his muscles wearing under the fatigue of so much constant exertion. He was sure that Kei, who had been wielding the Hammer for a good portion of the time, was feeling the effects as well.
Working together, they managed to slide the elderly man to the ground. The boy wiped his forehead, exhaling deeply. Now that they were off of the mountain, the birds seemed less intent on attacking. Although a few flew down to n** at their heels, they remained higher up, no doubt protecting some unseen nests. ”We were probably disturbing their homes…” The boy muttered as he scooped the elderly Wind man up from beneath his armpits, half-dragging him to the rocky overhang where the Shifter Youngling and unconscious Leaf woman lay.
As he disappeared beneath the rocky slope, Enki stepped around one of the craggy, mountainous structures. He grinned, arms crossed over his chest. ”You look frustrated, Kei.” The man glanced towards the place where the unconscious trio had been put. Various members of both the Wind and Leaf Tribes had appeared and were dutifully helping to cart away the helpless parties. ”That was a good thing you did, helping those people.”

Keilana nodded sweat dripping into her eye's she wiped what she could away. When the boy brought up the fact they were disturbing the birds homes she only grunted. "Well when I find out who the heck put those people there in the first place I'll strangle them." Keilana stated her irritation using both her hands to make a choking motion around an invisible neck. Seriously though who would do that to three people?
"I would do it for anyone...I have nothing against any of the tribes and these three didn't deserve to be strung up like sacrifices to those damnable birds," She cursed the last part more to herself than to the boy, whom she was beginning to grow fond of.
"Hopefully now that we are not near their nests they will leave us alone...I don't think I could lift another thing.." The leaf tribe girl stated honestly.

Enki nodded, glancing at the boy whom Keilana still seemed to be focusing the majority of her attention on. "I think you'll be fine now." The leader smiled. "You did a pretty good job of swinging that hammer around, though, given your lack of experience." He laughed, taking a step towards the younger Leaf Tribe woman.
"I think that you would make a fine Guard for our Tribe." He stated, more serious, but his smile unwavering. "Your fire and desire to protect people... they would definitely come in handy. What do you say?"

Keilana nodded her head in a tired fashion even going so far to ruffle the boy's hair playfully giving him a grin. Yeah..unfortunately she had given up trying to not like him, she would blame Animah for this lowering of her guard.
"Heh, I am better with a branch...that thing was heavy...and I'll probably be feeling this in my arms for days..." Keilana halfheartedly complained though her expression went blank at his comment. Her? A gaurd?
Unsure if Enki was joking or not she twisted a piece of hair slowly,
"I am honored that you'd want want me to be a guard for our people," A blush was coming across her face pretty hot and furious, she felt really really embarrassed that she was reacting this way in front of Enki.

Enki grinned, pleased to see the mighty girl’s guard down, if only just the slightest. ”I would. And although our Elders would have wanted to be here to congratulate you themselves, they have given me permission to assign new ranks while on our journey.”
The Leaf Tribe Leader stepped forward, his hands resting firmly on both of Keilana’s shoulders. ”I award you, Keilana, the rank of Guard within the Leaf Tribe.” He smiled at her, large hands ruffling her hair gently, playfully. ”You’ve earned it.”
The boy, his hair also in disarray from the Leaf woman’s ruffling, grinned as he stepped forward. He nudged her with his elbow. ”Congratulations.”
