"Sweet we passed!" Bix hovered around the exit portal. "Now we can just defend it for as long as we want... see how long we last." Bix fired another volley and watched the shadows dissolve away. That comment received the eyebrow quirk it deserved. "Should i take this as a personal challenge of stamina then hmm?" The innuendo was totally not lost, she just chose to emphasize on it some. It was a good thing that the shadows seemed to be never ending, because they might be here for a long while. Ceres found it hard to actually back down from a challenge. Especially being as this one was a slight matter of ego as well. Plus if she won she could tease the hell out of him. The smolder was noticed with a quick glance and a smirk."Oooohhhhh and who exactly is 'they'? Ms's Stamina? Your adoring fans?" She took the bait as she swiped down some more enemies. A devious smile was directed at him as she side glanced, eyelids lowered in her own small, not really putting a lot of effort at it, attempt at 'smolder'. She probably looked ridiculous. They both looked ridiculous. They were obviously not the sexiest of beasts... or at least not smoldering ones. "Oh yeah haven't you seen my pack of fangirls? Sure they look like normal everyday hunter women going about their duties... but really they are all secretly in love with me." So secret that no one even knows. She stopped trying and just started to laugh, her attempt was only halfway anyways. "Well Bix you should introduce me sometime, so i can inform there about how much of a dork you truly are."
And apparently that was it for her, because while she thought she landed a hit.... she hadn't.
And the shadow creatures were on her. s**t.

"Nooooo don't reveal my secreeets!" Thankfully, joking aside, Bix saw Ceres get overwhelmed. Mid-laugh he wrapped an arm around her waist as the shadows began to swallow up her legs.
They tumbled out of the end portal and fell backwards onto their asses. Well Bix did. Ceres was sort of dragged along for the ride.
He was still laughing.
"I win again."

When they landed on the other side, Ceres pretty much was for a moment sitting on one of Bix's legs, until she rolled herself off to the side with a hrmph!
"I dont think i did too shabby for a rookie you know." Her sword was vanquished now that it was unneeded. Oh egos, such a fickle thing. More like she was pouting this time.
Should she thank him for saving her from the shadows? ....Maybe later.

Bix could hear the slight tinge of pout to her voice and he gave her a tug of the ponytail, a teasingly light one. "Yeah you did good! First time through and you passed. Not too shabby."
The sun hunter sat up and brushed off his back. "You're buying my lunch now though."

Was it bad that she was somewhat disappointed he didnt take the bait? Oh well, she let it roll off her shoulder. "Well that was because i had the third time champ saving my butt." No, Really, Bix you were like a good luck charm. It seemed she completed....or almost completed, these courses when he was near.
She remembered the incident with the life trial, and how she sucked hardcore once he started to just watch.
"Only if you agree also to run the other three with me." Bribery? Yup. She noticed though she was still sitting on the ground, and suddenly the other man looked like a skyscraper. "Jeez you really are freaking huge."

She took the hand and pulled herself up. Good thing she was firmly standing before he made the comment, if she had been on the floor she just might have rolled over laughing.
Or kicked him.
"Hhhm i think thats your huge ego talking. Besides you know i meant your height, dork." She still smiled. Men will be men.
