She didn't seem to respond to anyone in particular even as they questioned her, it was almost as if she couldn't hear the things they were saying. But that did not mean the ghostly image looked cold or as if it were purposely ignoring them. It was, in fact, quite the opposite. Her expression was warm, welcoming and open. The Queen's posture held tall with a grace and confidence that was incredibly regal. Despite all that had happened on this night and over the days, weeks, and years that had passed since the first senshi had reawakened, she seemed proud. Like a mother looking over her children with a fondness and love that was completely and utterly unconditional. Even those that did not want her or feel a connection to her, they did not need to, she would not ask it of her. But she would love them all, every being across the universe that protected and helped to spread the light. Eyes seemed to flick over each and every one of them, seeming to acknowledge each one for their own brief moment. Though she might be the only one to notice, they seemed to linger just the tinest bit longer over Chibimoon.

"Senshi, knights, mauvians. Both seasoned warriors and our newest allies. Welcome all of you to my home. Please rest yourselves and tend to each other, I'm sure you are all weary from your battle."

"It has been a long and hard battle."
"The most important ones usually are."

"But it is a battle worth winning."

The image flicked and swayed a little as the figure moved to turn, walking slowly towards the castle behind her. Would they follow? Her voice was already rising again in it's beautiful, almost lyrical tones.

"The forces of Chaos grow larger and stronger with each passing day. The apperance of a brand new corrupted princess and the force behind her is evidence of this."

"With every moment the darkness fights and struggles to obscure and destroy the light. To swallow it up in their hatred and jealousy. They gain footholds in our worlds and in our hearts. They try to convince us that there is no way we will ever be able to succeed. We have lost many of our own over the centuries, but you should not despair."

"You cannot despair."

"Despair is a tool of the darkness. It is hope that rules the light. Life. Love. And most of all hope."

The voice was smooth and soothing, something that was clear for all to hear even as she turned her backs momentarily to them. Seeming no louder in the moment she turned back as if to check on them once more and beckon them along.

"In the past months, Chaos' hold on earth has grown so strong that it is no longer safe for you to gather together there, your pure hearts all together are a beacon against their darkness."

"It is their greatest weapon, being able to seperate and split you from each other. You cannot let them succeed. Only when you can all truely come together will you be strong enough."

"Stronger even then me."

"It pains me that I am unable to be there with you now. To lend you the strength you need. But you all possess that strength."

"From afar I offer you all the power I can in the form of this sanctuary. No matter how hard it tries Chaos will not be able to reach you here. Any chaotic energy that approaches, no matter the size, will be bumped back to where it came from unable to get through the purity of the Sanctuary."

"I wish I could use my power to protect the earth instead, but they are not that strong. Hopefully keeping this place safe for you all will be enough, and will give you enough time to develop your own powers."

Mont Blonc had cowered under cover for the remainder of the battle after he was tossed around like a rag doll by Requiem. He felt the same of it all, but he didn't know how to fight. he hadn't really had to until tonight. In the six months he'd been a page, he'd not seen hide nor hair of a Youma or agent of Chaos. Until tonight.

It was a real eye opener.

And now they were on the moon, away from the danger. He was still scared. horribly scared. The voice of the ghostly moon queen, however, made him uncover his face and cautiously stand from the fetal position he'd been sitting in since taking cover.

He stared in awe, and listened.

It was cruel what he was asking of her. Maybe it was logical.. or even the right thing. But that didn't make it not cruel. To ask her to have the strength to just.. give him up for everyone else. It wasn't fair. And it wasn't something she could immediately and thoughtlessly promise to.

Being careful, yes. Patrolling with others, fine. But the rest of it.. even with his attempts at being hopeful and optimistic.. it received a soft and sad frown from her. There was not acceptance, nor was there a fight about it, simply a silent acceptance that they'd talk about it later. Probably in great lengths. Probably on multiple occassions. As it was Polaris was planning a trip for her home star very soon, perhaps that would be one of the topics she would reflect upon.

Iris? The name seemed familiar.. but only vaguely so. A senshi she'd only seen occassionally here and there. She did think she might have recalled scolding the other about cursing around children at one point. Regardless to who she was, it was nice to have another princess in their midst. Sometime, eventually Polaris would have to hunt her down and make proper introductions.

The queen's words were a welcome distraction for Polaris, and her eyes lifted to watch the figure speak and move. The words were a comfort to her after the disaster that had just occurred. A mild saving grace against the nagging worries and guilt that ate away at her. She had no reason not to believe the words that were offered. It only made sense. There were so many senshi with so many skills and powers out there. If they would all just work together how could they NOT win?

Albireo was very quiet, again, lingering at the back of the group. She was somewhat interested in the things that were going on…and…and they were on the moon. That was something, right? She was looking at the buildings, the ruin…just how long had this place been abandoned like this? The senshi gave a heavy sigh, closing her eyes and sitting down. She hadn’t very many physical injuries, if she had any at all…but she felt so very drained. Weary and rather…lost. She looked up as the ghost like princess? Queen? Began to speak and seemed to want the group of senshi and knights and cats to follow her.

Albireo remained where she was, absolutely exhausted, and wondering if there really was anything on this…desolate moon to even be worth walking. Was it worth it to continue mingling with the senshi here? Sure, they had just done their best to beat back the forces of chaos, but who was to say that now the chaos agents were gone…that the bickering and arguing wouldn’t just break out again?

After all…hadn’t the majority of the arguing been about how princesses and queens were…Annoying or something? She couldn’t even remember.
The senshi bit back a laugh as Serenity mentioned that they should become much more united. That had been what Dahlia had mentioned too. That senshi weren’t meant to work alone, they were designed to work in teams, and to use their teamwork to beat back the chaos.

Still. From what had happened at the meeting, Albireo was quite sure, that none of these senshi would really ever be willing to work together. It was just…hopeless, wasn’t it?

The senshi frowned, then stood up. Damn. When had she become such a complete downer. She brushed the back of her skirt, and prepared to follow the masses, if they did decide to follow Serenity into..well, into wherever she was going.

“Can’t despair? That’s so easy for you to say. You’re dead,” Ganymede muttered.

The soft sound of her voice and the kindness in her eyes did nothing but make his bitterness grow. He barely knew who she was, had no idea what her life had been like before, and had only seen the barest glimpses of someone like her in his dreams during the Christmas season before last, when he’d first become acutely aware of the troubles that ravaged Destiny City. He had little respect for her, not for someone who couldn’t possibly understand what they were going through given that she wasn’t even alive to experience it, but he remained marginally quiet and argued no further. He was tired and upset, and he didn’t want to deal with anymore arguments that night.

He did what he could to calm himself, which was no easy feat by any means. He was still reeling from the attack, from the suddenness and the brutality of it. Maybe they were safe now, maybe they weren’t. He didn’t know how well he could trust that claim with the Surrounding still very fresh in his mind, and even though he never seen any evidence of infiltration on Ganymede... how was he to know for sure that the same could be said here?

Ganymede slowly wobbled to his feet, keeping an arm around Oberon and reaching out a hand for Valhalla as he glanced around for his teammates and friends. This assistance from some long-dead women, as beneficial as it may have proven, seemed to him to have come too little too late.

They’d already lost so much. What right did she have to tell them not to despair after what they’d seen? How could she expect that of them?

To Ganymede, despair had nothing to do with darkness; as far as he was concerned darkness didn’t despair. Despair had everything to do with love and life—it was a part of both. Belittling that, casting it off as something not to be felt when people had just died right in front of them, and their efforts had proven fruitless time and time again, seemed too flippant and uncaring for his liking.

But he glanced off to the side, took a breath and tried to ignore the fact that his eyes were wet again, and he kept his thoughts to himself.

The panic, the battle, when they were suddenly pulled from their impending doom to the moon- When Zephyr arrived, he could only observe his surroundings. The moon..? The rational part of him said that wasn't possible. But since they could visit other planets, then the moon wasn't such a far-fetched idea. He looked around for his allies. They were beaten and battered. But they were alive. That was more than could be said for the dead bodies that they had left behind. Even he had to feel somewhat dampened by the battle and their losses.

And the Moon Queen.. Zephyr recognized her from previous encounters. The person that they longed most for .. and were decieved at the Christmas battle. But it wasn't the first time that she had saved them. Despite the opinions that the younger senshi had, Zephyr's beliefs were in accordance with Chibimoon. He didn't offer her his worship or reverence, but he did trust her.

He followed her as she spoke. "You cannot despair." Even in Zephyr's cynical side as a senshi, those words reached out to him. He smiled despite himself. What she spoke of almost seemed possible. But any senshi could see how fragmented their side was. Still, was there hope?

Athene could still hear the sounds of sirens ringing in his ears. The Negaverse and dark senshi had left them there, while what seemed like an army of sirens had surrounded the building. So many sirens – so much so that to the dark-haired senshi’s ears the sounds had seemed to combine into one single loud buzzing shrill sound.

Athene hadn’t really been on the receiving end in having the forces of law and order break up his encounters with the forces of chaos, but you probably didn’t have to be a genius to know that that many sirens probably equated to many many police men and that equated to not-a-good-thing. Aka being royally screwed right about now.

As the sounds of splintering wood got ever closer and something started to pound against the main door into the meeting hall, Athene had resigned himself to the fact that they were not going to magically get out of this. In fact the dark-haired senshi had just started hoping that the police wouldn’t decide to just burst in shooting when a silvery light had suddenly appeared and whisked round him.

Although the light had had faded almost as quickly as it had appeared, Athene had thought that he’d heard someone saying the word ‘safe’. The new surroundings, however had distracted him – after all the ancient-looking courtyard was a complete opposite to the hall he’d been standing in with Nysa and the page that his team mate had introduced as Kailash before the light had whisked them away to wherever this was.

At least the two pages were safe too. It seemed the silvery light had whisked them all away together.

It was only when the word ‘safe’ was repeated that Athene first noticed the ghostly but regal-looking woman and started slightly in surprise. Was this the queen that Benitoite and Remarque had spoken so negatively off? Because she didn’t seem so horrible, in fact the look in her eyes when she had seemed to look briefly in his direction had been kind.

Athene had bitten his lip when the thought had occurred to him that if the ghostly woman was the queen that he’d heard talk off and this was her home, then that meant that he was currently standing on the Moon. It was the first time he’d been off-planet and the thought that the blue body he could see in the sky was the earth was unsettling.

Not that it stopped the dark-haired senshi from listening to Queen Serenity speak. Athene wanted to hear what she had to say. In fact he wanted to hear it enough, that he was personally inclined to follow after her as she turned and started to walk in the direction of the castle, although he waited to see what his two companions would do first.

((slight edit because Lit derped and forgot that Athene was with Nysa and Kailash when things went down))

Niflhel watched as the moon queen moved. He sighed as Polaris didn't answer him. "We'll talk about it later then." He whispered.

He sighed, "Is she wanting us to follow her?" He asked. "... is there a tram?" He wasn't sure that he could actually move.

Victoria watched as the queen moved, "Hygiea would you like a ride?" ********* was giving the other chibi a ride so might as well offer a ride to the other chibi member.

He was humming a bit and smiling, the queen's presence seemed to cheer him up quite a bit. "How many do you think we can get to work together, now?" He added, curiously.

Bimini was pretty damn mortified when he'd noticed and made out the sound of police sirens on their way. The Po-Po!! Well.. he'd never really had to deal with the police before, but he really didn't want to start. Being arrested was SUPER bad for business. And it cost a LOT of money to get bailed out. He wasn't even thinking about being killed, which was totally possible, too busy seeing a horrible story unfold in his head that ended up with him being labeled a terrorist to the public and his beloved arcade being close down. It was horrible, he almost wanted to cry. But luckily that was not to be.

The warmth filtered over him, carrying him off to someplace else that was much quieter. It looked very different then Bimini's wonder did. But then most of them probably did. His wonder WAS basically a huge day spa that was somehow also magically a 'fountain of youth' or something. It was pretty though, the Moon, and it was interesting to look at the earth from a far. I looked pretty much the same as it did in video games set in space.

Once again he was surrounded only by allies and people who.. he was hoping atleast, didn't want to hurt him. It helped convince him to start being his regular chatty self again, quickly resummoning his bowl and whatever water was still left in it. "Does anyone need a painkiller? I've still got a little magic left." He called out lightly as he walked from group to group, offering a mild wave in greeting as he went.

The sound and appearance of the ghostly lady drew a look of surprised interest from the squire of Cosmos, uncertain of who she was until someone else said it. Woahhhh a Queen. Or a hologram of one maybe? His video game senses were tingling again.

She was very pretty and there was something about her voice that was nice. The words she spoke were perhaps a bit deep for the often awkward squire, but he thought he liked them. It sounded mostly like harmony, and friendship and stuff.

Ohh! Oh!! It sounded like Friendship WAS magic. Bah dum Bah! He had to try hard not to laugh imagining all the many senshi and knights around as little ponies, his grin cracking into a wide smirk.

He was alright with a world of happy ponies. Better then the BS they had to deal with in Destiny City right now. And a safe place to go and hide? That sounded pretty awesome too.

The first thing Acubens thought was that the Chaos had come back for round two. And she hadn't gotten out in time. Damn it. She was already such easy prey, so prone to emotions. Now she was one step away from passing out. This time she'd definitely be killed. And then she felt a bone deep calm, warm form the inside out. What was happening? Acubens didn't have time to wonder before she looked up and saw only stars.

Stars and stars and stars as far as the eye could see. She stood, still staying next to Grus as she did so.

"Where are we?"

The question was answered in the next moment.

Polaris had spoken true, not that Acubens had ever doubted her but... still, her descriptions of the moon princess seemed so... fairy tale. And now, up in the ancient palace stood the ghostly figure of a woman. The same woman Polaris had told her about. The same woman they all fought for. The same woman Acubens wasn't even certain existed in the first place.

What had she done? She'd doubted her place in this war, and for what? A broken heart? A torn soul? She was stretched so thin already and...

And all Acubens could do was look up at the half ruined palace, at the moon far in the distance, and cry. Because that was all Acubens was good for. Creating drama with half thought out statements, and crying.

Ambrosia didn't remember being transported. She arrived on the Moon just as she had left Earth: leaning forward, willing her attack to hit. This change in venue off balanced her, she fell forward onto her knees, throwing out her hands to catch herself before her face hit. She quickly stood back up, dusting herself off as if nothing had happened. It seemed that only the good guys were here, all staring at some sort of ghost that smiled welcomingly at her. She tilted her head in confusion. She wasn't sure who this pretty woman was. Her question was quickly answered by the excited whispering of others. Serenity? Well, now she had a name, but nothing else struck a chord with the Chibi senshi.

Esquiline was so happy to be out of the fight. Even if it meant being transported somewhere else, she was so happy that there weren't chaos agents anywhere near her. She shivered, holding her upper arms with her hands, rubbing the fabric quickly. The image before everyone else was talking about sanctuary. And Chaos. Her heart quickly fell when she said that Chaos was gaining huge footholds. Did she join the fight too late? Her despair was held before overwhelming her by the Queen's words. They held such a soothing quality....

Sinon was merely trying to make sense of everything that had just transpired. She had squeezed her eyes shut and pressed her hands to her ears when the sounds of sirens and shouts filled her senses. So, this is what she had returned to after so long? Bitter defeat and maybe even death? This is what—Light. Safety. She could feel a warm light encasing her and she tentatively cracked open one eye. The senshi looked around to stare at the old courtyard. It didn’t take the redhead long to move her gaze from the crumbled buildings and sparse vegetation to the sight of Earth spread out across the sky. Her jaw dropped. She tried tug the arm of the nearest senshi and pointed at the Earth. “What is…Why are…? How…?” Wait, she was on the Moon?

She was confused, allowing the voice to speak and to try and fill in the gaping holes in Sinon’s mind. Yes, they were on the Moon. This was supposed to be a sanctuary. A few more confused glances swept around the area before she settled on the ghostly figure in front of them. She craned her neck above the crowd and was thankful for her lanky stature. It was easy to see the woman decked in white. Her image was hazy, even. Was she a ghost? Eyes narrowed at the blue eyes and scepter. Sinon could have sworn she had seen this person once upon a time. Maybe just once. Twice? The whispers seemed to give her the answer. Moon Queen Serenity? The name sounded familiar, but it was like a distant memory to the freckled girl.

The senshi of lies uneasily shifted in place, her brown eyes examining the queen with a wary gaze. She had saved the entire group from a gruesome encounter with the police. That was great, but what now? What exactly did the woman have in store for them now? Sinon was cautious of the queen, but at the same time her warm and welcoming expression was alluring. Sinon was tired. She wanted to crawl into bed and sleep. Maybe wake up the next morning and go out on her skateboard. Hopefully that wasn’t so hard to ask for. She rubbed an arm when she realized the queen was looking at them. Not as a whole, but individually. Her gaze flicked away until the woman’s voice brought Sinon’s attention back.

Her words brought a mixture of emotions from the girl. The news of a corrupted princess. The growing darkness. They depressed her. So much had happened with her barely knowing. But there was hope. It was a tiny glimmer, but hope nonetheless. Don’t despair. Sinon closed her eyes as she mulled over the queen’s words. It was relieving to know this would be a sanctuary, but for how long?

All Concordia had wanted was to get the heck out of that death zone. Just sneak on out of the meeting, maybe find Chronos to sadly mope with, or maybe even just go sulk with some tiramisu. But that big scary man with the microphone was SO loud and had flung and hit her with it! She hadn't even tried to do anything. Thank goodness Celsus had come to her rescue. She could always rely on him. Well, she could rely on all of her teammates, but so far Celsus had proven on multiple occasions how great he was.

The teleportation received a moment of contemplation from the Chronos page, looking at her own hand skeptically, before extending her gaze to the place around her. Teleportation was something from science fiction.. something that.. up until she'd become a senshi she wouldn't really have believed in. But unfortunately this world was full of a lot of really strange and unexplainable things.

The woman talking was a strange enigma, and Concordia found herself more focused on what in the world she was then what she was actually saying. It was like a ghost or hologram. Like a message left in the past for someone to find. But at the same time.. it was talking about things that happened in the recent past. Was it sentient? It didn't seem to respond to people when they asked it things. But at the same time.. the way it looked at them.. and the words that seemed to relate too clearly to them then any randomly left message should be able to. It flabbergast her.

She felt the desire to creep forward and touch the queen, thinking maybe it would give a clue to exactly what it was. But there was no way she could do that! First of all everyone was looking up there and they'd see her. And then they might try to talk to her or ask her want she was doing or maybe even surround her! Or what if the ghost thingy responded to her?

Peeking through her hood and glasses with soft curiousity, Concordia continued to watch. It was all so strange. Oh but safe! She did like the words 'safe' that she kept hearing crop up.

Giving a soft nod in agreement to Niflhel, she pushed herself up lightly as the queen began to move. Settling on her boots she offered a hand down to help him up and along if he wanted it. "I'm not really sure.. maybe?"

Pasiphae had barely heard the sirens from her position in the tall grass, but she had not been afraid. She herself would be the first to admit it was strange. However, as she had lain there with her best friend still trapped in her arms, the sirens had been a bittersweet relief. If the police came, then the forces of Chaos would go away. They would never risk losing face--not after building it so carefully. They would leave the forces of Order behind to take the blame for all the death, all the violence, that they had only been defending against. Either way, the battle would be over. No one else would die.

She had had her eyes firmly closed after the earthquake, and although cowardly, she had not reopened them to see what would happen to the last ones standing in the fight. Corruption or Death--both were horrible in her mind, and both would linger there far longer than she would care to admit. She had seen enough death, enough suffering for one fight. She had just been unable to bear anymore. She had been too afraid of what she might have seen. What if Paris got taken away? What if Benitoite finished off Christa, killed Tsui, who they had worked so hard to protect? What if Chris or Michael, Chaonis or Tallulah... or any of the many she held dear had been forced away, starseed ripped from their chest? If she had seen any of that happen, she would have been done for, and the worst part was that she knew for others... they had seen exactly that. Their allies--their friends, their loved ones--taken away. If she had had any tears left to shed, she would let them fall now.

Yet, her damaged spirit still felt a sense of relief when out of nowhere a kind voice spoke out, telling her--telling everyone--that they were safe, that they had a safe haven of their own. She cautiously opened first one eye and then another, stunned as everyone else to see the place before her. A city, once the kindom of the Moon. The home of Moon Queen Serenity, and of the pink-haired Chibimoon who had so patiently told them of her past, of this place. She had never thought she would see it. It was so different from her own pink-dusted moon.

When she spoke it was a dry whisper, as though she couldn't believe what she was saying, "Nyx... Nyx, we're safe. Safe... on the moon."

Safe, for now. Safe. Yes, her spirits, her heart, would need time to repair, perhaps even more so now than from the battle in the Surrounding. But the darkness, the panic, the fear were, for now, lifted enough to keep her from crumbling once again to the ground as she had done twice in the battle she had just survived. The wounds to her spirit, to her heart, were, however temporarily, numbed. Later they would hurt again, she knew. When she was alone, when she saw how those she loved had suffered... they would hurt again. But for now... she accepted the wonder around her and let it ease her pain.

"Nooo!"

Those were the first words to escape the princess' mouth the moment they had been teleported away from the battle. It might have seemed odd, but one had to consider what Iris had been doing just prior.

Sassolite had torn out the starseed of a fellow senshi (a super senshi in fact) and thrown the poor girl's body at the newly revealed princess. The starseed itself had still been in tact. There had been a chance to revive the Super senshi. There was a good chance she was going to succeed too, since she had just been ready to trip the General and pounce. The girl's body had still been awkwardly balanced in her arm, still faintly breathing as those who lost their starseeds did for a short while after such a gem was lost to them.

Certainly, she had heard the sirens, and then the Negaverse all teleported away. The red-headed General had vanished, starseed at hand. However, before she could get the utterance out, the senshi and knights had been teleported to this place.

The vast majority were safe now, but as her now unburdened arm reminded her, the blonde had failed to save the one. After what seemed like a random outburst on her part, the Princess stood herself up, buttoning up her lip and ignoring any potential looks she might have been receiving. Her pale wings fanned out for a moment behind her, trembling faintly from aggravation before she folded them behind her once more. She clenched both hands, one still holding onto that rainbow she had been attacking with before, though she briefly opened said hand to dismiss the power.

Those most familiar with the girl knew she could be quite rambunctious, rarely holding back her emotions or rage. So for her to be so quiet might have seemed odd, even out of place.

The blonde did not seem to even notice the surrounding until the voice of their savior revealed herself. Despite how shot her nerves were, Iris couldn't say she was ungrateful. The familiar form of the spirit had saved every single one of the Senshi and Knights that had still had their starseeds in tact. The spirit pleaded with those she had rescued to continue forward with all their strength, despite having suffered what could have been seen as an embarrassing defeat.

The spirit didn't have to plead to Princess Iris. Princess Iris already had the resolve, given to her just moments before.

In a soft tone, the girl uttered "...I will fight... for a future where the innocent aren't persecuted because of what their soul might have been in a previous life. We may all be senshi and knights... but we were also born of Earth in this lifetime. The past... is the past... but the future... it is what we make it." It wasn't so much she was trying to rally up any support, but rather, she was speaking aloud to herself, to assure herself that she knew what she wanted to do with her power.

With a nod, the blonde princess began to walk away, as if she was going to abandon the group.

"...Iris..." The voice of her guardian spoke in an equally mild tone from behind her. Upon the guardian's shoulders and back was Egeria, still recovering from her own injuries.

"...I will fight for what you believe in..."

The princess smiled, but remained facing away. "...thank you..." With that, she continued to move forward, casually reaching to the stub of an arrow stuck in her shoulder and pulling it out. Her dress was momentarily stained in darkening red, but to the Princess, that was not an issue.

She needed to go honor those who had passed on this evening.

Having said her two bits to the captain of the team, the guardian glanced to a face flopped over her shoulder. "Egeria, I assure you... nobody here is dead..."

Her green eyes flicked from Egeria's lavendar eyes to Hygiea's deep orange ones. "And that would be Queen Serenity, the Queen of the Silver Millenium." It might have been a bit old fashioned, but the guardian used one hand to mildly tug at her own skirt upon the opposite side of the one that Hygiea had been holding, then bent at the knees slightly for an awkwardly wobbly curtsy.
