He knew things could have been a lot worse for both of them. Hell, he felt horrible for taking advantage of the fact that he was pretty certain that Paris loved him when he'd decided to test out his 'independence'. It had been stupid, and he realized that now. He'd gotten lucky this time around, but he definitely didn't want there to be a next...
"Oh..." he mumbled lamely as Paris nudged him and picked up after his half-finished job. At least he'd done all the hard scrubbing, right? Like... he could have just left it as it was and... then Paris wouldn't have been at all happy with him.
He moved out of the way as Paris started picking up what was left of their mess, nodding in understanding at his suggestion to eat and then talk. He knew they would have a lot to sort through now that the storm was blowing over. "That's fine..." he agreed, picking up the hamper and leaning down to steal a quick kiss as he moved past his boyfriend to head for the stairs. "We'll talk later."
As long as they continued to survive through all the mess in their other lives, Chris was sure they'd find a way to work things out between them.
