 Jen prepared her hamburger, then put away the things that she had taken out and cooked with. She then sat by Shirune at the counter. "'Bon Appetit!!" she smiled to him, hoping that the hamburger she tried to cook, would not be a total failure in horrible taste. Marley had woken up and started to whistle in the background a french and romantic tune he had picked up from a movie. Jen then eyed the parrot. As soon as he saw her gaze, he pretended to snore. Jen giggled and took a bite out of her food.

Shirune watched as Jen prepared her hamburger and then came to sit next to him. Following suit Shirune applied some condiments to his burger before hearing.. a french romance ballad? He watched Jen turn around and look at Marley before the parrot pretended to be sleeping. He chuckled a little bit and then bit into his burger. He couldn't believe how good it tasted!

Jen cheek's blushed a soft pink. Darn parrot....she thought to herself. Although it wasn't his fault that he had picked up the line from Jen watching movies a lot. She appreciated that he was comical instead of aggressive and mean. "Sorry about that..he's a silly parrot." Jen smiled and said with a soft laugh. She ate her burger, surprised at how well it turned out.

Shirune looked at Jen after he bit into his burger and noticed that her cheeks were a slight tinge of red.. He couldn't help but smile to himself a little.. That parrot of hers.. If Marley whistled that tune then I wonder were he heard it from.. He thought to himself as he took another bite into his burger and then stopped. He clutched his throat and gagged as he suddenly coughed out a charred piece of hamburger meat..
"Sorry about that.. Thats... what happens.. when I.. don't chew... my food... right."
He said as he coughed in between words. He then took a gulp of his Dr. Pepper and sighed in relief as the beverage cooled down his throat.
"One of the disadvantages of being an elementalist.. Your powers get in the way of everything.. even eating is a hassle..
He said as he sighed in discontent and bit into his burger again, mindful to chew throughly

Jen looked at Shirune wide-eyed as he started to choke on his food. "Are you okay??" she asked him, then saw the charred piece of meat. She tilted her head at him. "I can't imagine how having the power of ice would be then." she commented curiously, and ate the rest of her burger. When she was finished she took her plate and threw out the remaining pieces of food that she did not eat, then rinsed the plate in the sink. "Would Ice Cream help you feel better?" she asked him with a slight smile.

Shirune nodded as he finished his burger and then heard her comment about how having the power of ice might have been.. He shuddered... If he hated anything more in the world than Death it would have definitely been ice... He then got up at went to wash his dish in the sink.. As he was doing so Jen asked him about Ice Cream.. He literally froze.. Ice.. Cream? He gave Jen an inquisitive look before looking away and mumbling
"Um.. What's Ice Cream?"

 ]Jen tilted her head at him. "You've never had Ice Cream? I guess that's probably for a reason then..sorry." she told him, apologetically. "It's a type of frozen dessert." she said with a shrug.

Shirune was distraught when he heard Jen say it was a frozen dessert... Who would eat something like that? They must be either really brave or really stupid! He shivered at his thought and and then wondered how it must've tasted..
"What does Ice Cream taste like?"

Jen saw the look of distraught on his face. "Well...I have cookie dough or Peanut Butter Cup." she told him with a shrug. "It's okay, you don't have to have it. Forget I asked." she told him sincerely with a reassuring smile.(haha..)

Jen smiled. "I don't think you have anything to fear about." she laughed softly, but respected his feelings toward ice. She then went into the freezer, and pulled out two gallon containers of ice cream. One was peanut butter cup, the other was cookie dough. Taking off both of the lids, she revealed the ice cream which had a soft and creamy-looking texture to it instead of literal ice. She then got out two bowls and a scoop. "Which one would you like to try?" she asked him. "I like a scoop of both..but that's just me." she told him sweetly.

"It's put in the freezer to keep it from melting right away.." she told him, while giving him two small scoops containing one of each flavor. She then gave him a spoon so that he could eat it with, hoping he wouldn't have a negative reaction to the ice cream. She took a spoonful of ice cream herself and ate it with a small smile.

Shirune looked down at the two scoops of ice cream that were in the bowl Jen had given him. They didn't look as bad as he thought they were going to be. He looked at the spoon Jen was handing to him and grabbed it delicately, almost as if it was a piece of fine china. He then took a small piece of cookie dough and put it in his mouth...

Jen braced herself for the worst. She waited to see Shirune's reaction after he had hesitantly agreed to try the dessert. She hoped that he wouldn't drop dead or have a terrible reaction to it.
