"Of course I will!" Eldorada almost snapped at the mare, imagine someone considering that she wouldn't! The absurdity of that thought was astounding. Still she was sure the wild looking mare had meant it with the best interest at heart and so she softened her voice a touch. "And then they usurpers will pay dearly."
"Strong is fine." Eldorada sniffed slightly as she watched the other mare begin to strip the berries, for a few moments she considered just letting her do it all herself but then they'd likely be here all day and so with a sigh she grabbed a leaf and started to help. Oh how she wished for the days of servants to do such menial tasks! "Now after we've gathered the berried we have to find a stump or other depression that will hold our juice..back home we had large shells from the sea but I doubt that any such thing is available here so a stump will just have to do." She told the other mare "And we must keep these leaves...and find some large rocks as well."

"Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you." She said idly while plucking berries from the bush and placing them on the leaf. Tairyn, as a constant wanderer, just couldn't imagine not only having a true home but then losing it to someone who had snatched it away, and then trying to get it back from that same individual. If she wasn't such a free spirit she might have offered Eldorada some help in that, but what could she offer being a wanderer that she was? Really the only thing she could do was say what she had said only moments ago, that surely the mare would get her home back one day.
Tairyn concentrated on collecting the berries and then was surprised to see Eldorada also helping out. She wouldn't have said anything if the pale mare had only instructed her on what to do, since she was royalty after all, but it was kind of a neat thing to seem her helping out. Mention of a stump made her pause in her berry collecting. "There was a stump I passed a bit closer to the meadow, it might do the trick. And rocks can be found just about anywhere, just gotta take some time to look for them." Boy she couldn't imagine doing this every time she wanted to drink, as much as she wanted to try this Tairyn had to admit nothing beat just walking up to a stream, lowering your head and drinking as much as one wanted. Yup, she was likely to never make juice again after this, even if it did end up tasting amazing in the end. All this time spent gathering things, she could have definitely found herself a nice cuddly stallion to be with. With a sigh Tairyn resumed her work. "This sure does take a lot of work."

"It is nothing that I can not handle...once I woo a prince with an army it will be all but over for the wretched beast." She stated confidently. And she would find a Prince and she would lead his army to retake her homes - it was inevitable and if she could not find a suitable Prince? Well then she would make one..this was a large land, it would be easy enough to find a handsome princely looking sort and spread the word that he was indeed a Prince from somewhere else. They would raise an army together..she would take back her home and then she'd be done with him. It was an excellent plan if she did say so herself.
But for the moment they were making juice and so she brought her attention back to the present as the mare spoke of the stump she had found. This would be so much easier if she still had a horde of slaves at her beck and call but alas....she had to make do and perhaps she would better this mares life in the process. "Yes well, many things in life are not easy but well worth it in the end." She told the mare sternly. Surveying the berries for a few moments she nodded her head decidedly. "That should be enough, come lets pick up the berries and take them to the stump you found."

"Good." Tairyn said. And in a way she hoped Eldorada would find her prince and get back her lands. At least she had a goal in life. Tairyn's goal...well it involved a stallion, or several stallions if one looked at the big picture. But laying claim to lands and having that much duty, no thanks, that kind of life was certainly not for a free spirit like herself. She supposed a princess was expected to do such things and thus was more than glad she was not a princess. Tairyn let out a slight snort. She liked the easy route, the less responsibilities she had the better. All she needed was space to move around, food and water to drink - and perhaps after today some juice, and a nice stallion to cuddle up with at night. Yes life was good for her the way it was.
Snapping back to reality Tairyn looked at the pile of berries they had collected. Apparently it was enough, which was good because she was getting bored of picking the silly things. It took a moment for her to gather the sides of the leaf up so that she could carry it without spilling the berries all over the ground - wouldn't that suck to have to pick even more since she was certain Eldorada would not accept just picking them up off the dirt. With her mouth full of leaf she couldn't exactly talk so with a motion of her head she pointed the way before setting off. It wasn't too far of a walk following the winding path through the forest. Tairyn would have cut through the trees but she was certain a princess would follow the paths not cut through the forest. It was somewhat inconvenient but since she was still interested in trying this fruit juice out she had little choice. Experimenting on her own could prove to be good but it could also have bad results. Once she reache dthe stump, which conveniently had several rocks nearby Tairyn stopped and looked the Eldorada for further instruction. She wasn't willing to set the berry filed leaf down until she had to, it was too much of a pain to pick up after all.

Eldorada waited while the other mare picked up the berries - sure she had been willing to help pluck them off the bush simply due to the time it would take otherwise..but she wasn't about to go carrying them through the woods when she had someone else around to do it for her. Before they left the berry bush Eldorada broke off a small branch and brought it with her as she followed Tairyn.
At least the other mare had the good sense to stick to the pathways - the last tine Eldorada needed was to be dragged through the mud and filth of the woods like some sort of rogue. That would really be just to much for her to deal with today. Once they reached the stump..since there was still no one else to help Eldorada sighed slightly "Just wait a second I have to line the stump." Selecting several large leaves she lay them out in the stumps hallowed out shell, it made a sort of bowl which was perfect really and with several layers of leaves as a lining none of the wood chips would get into the juice although the woody flavor would enhance it. "Alright, now set the berries in, we shall put another leaf on top of them and then find a rock to mash them up with..then we will have to fetch some water and stir it all together to make the juice."

Tairyn waited while Eldorada lined the stump with more leaves and then placed the bundle of berries inside. Then she found a leaf to cover them up with. First step down! On to the next. Moving away from the stump Tairyn tried to pick up the first rock she came across, except there was one problem, it was mostly buried in the ground, which meant it would be too big and too heavy to lift. She moved to the next one, which was far too small until finally finding one she could pick up with her mouth but was large enough that it should mash the berries quite easily. Carrying the rock over the the stump Tairyn dropped it, mostly gently on the covered pile of berries. A quick glance at Eldorada told her that she would need to do this several times. So Tairyn began to pick up the rock then drop it until she felt satisfied that they were squished enough.
Now they just needed water and she could finally try some juice. This took so much work! It had better be worth it in the end or else Tairyn would not only be disappointed but she would vow to never ever try this again. With a slight sigh Tairyn set the rock down and glances in the direction she knew a nearby stream was. But how did one bring water over here from the stream? She could just hold some in her mouth but she was fairly certain Eldorada would completely freak out is he did that. This was hard, so hard! Tairyn was about to give up. "How exactly do I bring water here?" She asked Eldorada in a tone that clearly indicated she thought it was impossible. What was she expected to do? Dig a trench from the river to here? Well first off that would take way more effort than she was willing to do. And secondly that would only get water here, it wouldn't get it up into the stump. So hard, so darn hard! Must try juice! But it's so hard!

Eldorada waited while the other mare mashed the berries into a suitable state, sure she had been willing to help pick them and even go so far as to line the stump with leaves in preparation but she wasn't about to mash them with the rock unless she absolutely had to. With someone else around to do such manual labour she was more then willing to sit back and watch.
It wasn't until the mare became stumped with how to transport water that Eldorada brought herself back to the present. Back home they had used shells and other such things to transport the water..but as she had been cast out on her own Eldorada had been forced to improvise and become creative. "Oh thats not so very hard when you know what to look for." She told the other mare before looking around the woods a little bit. It was easy to find pitcher plants in during the spring and summer months and Eldorada had learned to save one of the pitchers in the fall until winter weather gave her enough snow to work with. Finding a plant she snapped off the tube like section and dumped it out before heading off to the stream where she rinsed it well before filling it with water before returning to dump it into the stump. It would take a couple of trips...more or less depending on how strong one wanted the juice to be. Since Tairyn had expressed interest in a stronger drink she did not add very much water before pulling out the stick she had snapped off the berry bush earlier and stirring the water and berries together until it was mixed well. "There..now try it." She told the other mare with a smug expression. She was sure she would love it..perhaps even swear off ordinary water altogether.

Tairyn watched Eldorada carefully as the pale mare retrieved a suitable water carrier and went to the stream. She made note of the plant that was used just in case in the future she wanted to make juice again. Well that was a fairly handy plant now wasn't it. Heck even if she wasn't making juice and just needed to bring water somewhere those plants would certainly come in handy. Oh yes, either way she had gained a handy skill today. Hey maybe this skill could impress a stallion and she could receive an extra night with him. Ah stallions. Her mind wandered just long enough for Eldorada to mix the water and mashed berries. Hearing the mares voice again Tairyn gave her head a solid shake. Right, they were still doing stuff here, once they were done she could return to her stallion hunt.
Taking a step closer to the stump Tairyn took a moment to smell the mixture first. It certainly smelled delicious. Lowering her head Tairyn took a drink. It tasted strong! It tasted like she had just swallowed a million blue berries all at once! She wanted more! Gulping down the rest of the juice Tairyn let out a satisfied sigh. Oh that was totally worth the effort. Licking her lips, which were a bit blue from the juice she turned to look at Eldorada. "Now that was amazing! A lot of work but wow just wow does that taste great!" For once in her life Tairyn was happy without having a stallion at her side. Though certainly a stallion would make this moment even better. "You should teach everyone how to make juice. You'd be famous!" Tairyn was convinced that this was the best stuff ever. Sure it wasn't as convenient or quick as simply walking to a stream and taking a big gulp but it tasted a million times better that plain old water.

Eldorada gave the other mare a smug expression as she exclaimed how good the juice was - of course it was good, no one would bother making it if it wasn't. And despite her earlier decision to keep this knowledge from the heathenish mare she couldn't help but brag now that she had seen the other mares excitement. "You should try making it with berries you've left out in the sun for a couple of days. It will open you to a whole new world." She told the other mare with a smile.
Eldorada felt rather good about herself - she'd managed to teach one of the peasant mares a useful skill, a skill that would make her a little bit more refined...well as long as she learned to drink it without staining her lips..and if she would only do something about that absurd mane she sported. "I plan to be famous for a different reason." She stated after the mares last comment, once she took over her kingdom and ruled it with an ironhoof - as it should be ruled well..she would be famous..and for a much better reason then a simple juicemaker. Making juice was really the work of slaves and as soon as she had a good supply of those well..she could desist with making it herself. It really was a great deal of work and Eldorada despised doing such menial tasks herself.

"Oh yeah?" Tairyn's ears perked forward at Eldorada's suggestion to try it with sun dried berries. "Might just have to try it that way some time." But that would have to be saved for another day, honestly as much as Tairyn had enjoyed the juice that Eldorada helped her make there was something extremely important that Tairyn had to do before the day was through. There was still need of a stallion to curl up with for the night and she certainly wasn't going to find him here while standing beside a princess. Well she might but then it would be one stallion and two mares and odds were the stallion would go for Eldorada over herself.
"Well there's always the juice to fall back on if your other thing doesn't work out." Tairyn said with a shrug. Sure it wouldn't be as glorious as being a princess but certainly plenty of Soquili would flock to Eldorada just to have a taste of juice. "Anyways..." Tairyn glanced around for a moment before setting her eyes back on Eldorada. "I think I've taken up enoug of your royal time today, so I'm gonna run...got things to do you know. Thanks for the juice tips I'll be sure to tell everyone I meet about it." With that the colorful mare turned and began to trot off through the trees. "See you around princess!" She called out over her shoulder before disappearing down a game trail with one thought on her mind....stallions!
