"Very well then." He nodded in return, going off-path and into a clearing. Small, but it would be enough for him to fit.
"...Could you look away for a moment, through ?." He asked. "My aoide will be rather unhappy if I end up tearing through one more set of clothing." It was not so much shame or shyness, and usually he did not care that much, but well... the girl was what, ten ?
Yeah. There were things she would discover in due time, really.

< Sure.> Asedri nodded, turning her back and putting her hands over her eyes for good measure. Soterios even ducked back out of sight beneath her curls. She would not turn around until he told her it was safe to do so.

It did not take him long to take off his clothing, fold it, and stash it somewhere where he could simply come back for it later. And then he shifted, soundlessly aside from the faint sound of scales rubbing each other as they were summoned, the other form recalled.
"I am done." He sat on his back quarters like a dog might have. The little one might be curious, after all.

She was curious about the sounds as he shifted, thankfully curiosity did not get the better of her. The Mouse turned around when he said it was alright. There were those scales she remembered! Though she had not been able to get a close look at them while he and Lady Trickery were wrestling. She walked over to investigate, head turning this way and that as she looked his dragon shape over. Finally the curiosity won over and she reached out, touching the scales one of his forelegs. They were very tough and smooth...but also reminded her of water somehow. That certainly was strange.

Asedri was free to investigate at her leisure. This dragon was definitively tame... for her at least. He let her explore and touch as she wished, and laid down once she was done, so that she could easily sit on his back.
"Hold on on my mane. Do not worry about pulling if you need to." It would not harm him much, he knew.

< Okay.> She nodded, climbing onto his back and tucked her skirt around her legs so it would not get blown around too much. Small hands held onto his mane firmly. He had said not to worry about pulling, but still she did not want to hurt him. "Ready."

Xun Jiang waited until the young girl spoke to stand, slowly. He was not big, not really - roughly the same size than a horse, so there was little chance of giving Asedri vertigo just by standing.
He made sure he could feel her grasp on his mane before finally taking off, quickly rising over the trees and hovering right over them for an instant before working on gaining a little more altitude. Fight was not as effortless for him as it was for Tian Yue - water was his territory, not the air. Still, he could fly just fine, and the tiny weight sitting on his back was far from hindering him.

Asedri gripped his mane a little tighter when he took off, fingers only loosening some once they were over the top of the trees. And then they were going even higher! < Oh wow!> This was great! Before long she was laughing and enjoying herself. Soterios on the other hand elected to remain beneath her hair. He did not like being up so dizzyingly high.

Her laughter made him smile - well, as much as a dragon could truly smile, anyway. It looked more like a grin that revealed far too many sharp teeth, which likely made it better that she could not see it at this angle.
"Enjoying yourself, hm ?" This was actually fun ! He would not attempt anything too crazy, through, not with a passenger on board. But he varied heights, and passed over forests, lakes, and plains. She could see wild animals going about their daily routine, undisturbed by the shadow that passed overhead.

"Yes!" She giggled again. There certainly was a lot out here to explore once she had the time to do so. Maybe she could ask Saljin, Teilil or even Taj to go with her some days. It could be fun!

"Good, good." He let out an happy rumble, accompanied with a chuckle. "Is there anything in particular that you would like to see ?" He angled for a slow decent as they reached the larger lake, brushing just the tip of his claws and wings on the surface before raising again.
Showing off ? Probably.

"Anywhere. I've never been out this far." At least not that she could remember anyway. All the while the Mouse had been making a mental list of places she wanted to come back and explore later.

"Hmm. There is another, smaller settlement past this forest, but there is not much to see there." Most mortals had settled closer to the market, closer to the gods. He figured that would be interesting to those whose influences ran closer to social aspects - he preferred the wildness, the winding rivers and the apparently bottomless oceans, through there were none of the latter nearby to bring the little mouse to, which was a shame.
There was a lot of the former, however, and he made his slow decent into a relatively open area, near a river. The waters were clear and pristine, with fishes numbering plenty as the swam toward the ocea.

"Oh wow." That was a pretty big river as far as Asedri was concerned and look at all those fish! She definitely wanted to go take a closer look, but would be a good girl and wait until Xun said it was safe to climb down off his back.

The landing was pretty smooth, and he laid against the ground once more so that the girl could get off his back without having to jump down. "You can explore around as much as you like." He nodded. "Then we should probably go back, before the others wonder where we want. You can just say you were with me." He winked, proving that he was very well aware that she probably had not been supposed to be where he found her. But that would not be a lie - Asedri had indeed been with him. Just not the whole way.
"We'll fly again, if you like. We could come back here later and have a picnic, what do you think ?" It would keep her mind off worrying for Taj, and well, the location was indeed perfect for a picnic.
