Robayn s'ok Tes I will only hold it against you a little bit and I promise to hold it against you where you like it <3 also I AM PICKING UP A GODDAMNED TEXAN ACCENT FROM ALL THE TEXANS IN MY TOWN !!! $%&*!!! Hey now, careful there lol. Just because they have a Texas accent does not always mean they are from Texas or vice versa. I know it sounds weird but it is true. Also if there from central Texas then they don't count, that group is just strange. North and South are generally normal for the most part, west you will find more Hispanic, and east you will get more Texan southern draws. Take your time Lady Tes. I learned some Chinese from Jimmy Wong, on YouTube. Always an important one... / / / qing wen ce suo zai nali? I don't know how to make the little swoopy things so I did my best there. edit: those didn't show up at all like I wanted them too...darn

Ronyo... I wouldn't call them Texans if they weren't from Texas ... and I wouldn't be picking up an accent from them if they didn't have an accent!

oh yeah I guess that would be true...sorry it was a long day and my brain turned off after work lol.
You know it really strange to hear you say they have an accent because I hardly ever heard one in Amarillo, and I have to hunt someone down in Austin in order to hear one. Now I'll here a ya'll every now and then for sure, but never any of the larger combo words.

It's not so thick an accent that it would be easily noticeable, but I really like accents (I find then HIGHLY entertaining) so I notice them more easily.
I love to make people say words like "banana" and "ambulance" because they bring out accents more than other words.
although, it's entirely possible that you don't notice the accent because you LIVE in Texas. I'm not talking about a cowboy accent, but a regular Texan accent.

posting just because nothing in Seph's or my posts affect Alex so much that he necessarily needs to respond before we continue, and this will give tessie-bear more to respond to in her post <3

oh when I hear an accent here I recognize it, because I don't have one, or much of one anymore. My grandma was big on proper English and grammar si she would correct me if I would slip and use a accented word. I have a few words I think I might still draw on, but for the most part.

lol, really? but your grammar would still be correct if you have an accent... unless you are speaking in slang. tsk tsk.

It would be the Texas combo word accent idea. Ya'll, usetacould, irekon, betcha, donedid. Those words. It also might have something to do now with the fact that many of the people I work with are from all over. We have people from California, Colorado, England, Canada, Ireland, and a few from Florida. With so many people the vocal sound has more or less formed into something more or less normal for the most part.
