Nadie began to talk, her voice not demanding but of one that asked if you would agree with her,"We will row as much as we can today before night hits we must rest on the bank and row more once we reach the northern falls we will walk the rest of our journey", she explained her plan with careful words,"I suggest while we are in the forest and near water we fish and hunt and dry our food for once we get on the ice we will only have seal as our food source and seal is hard to catch, we will also have many dangerous enemies on the ice, walrus and bear and lepoard seal", she explained,"We will not have the weather on our advantage and must quickly learn how to make igloo's if we are trapped in a snow storm for we will not be able to travel in it", she continued on,"I hope you know how to swim and stand freezing cold for once we are ontop of the world and reach the castle we will be cold and we will expect no warmth or food when we arrive, I hope we have the courage and strength to pass this difficult quest to bring back this power to our people", she smiled and then added,"Any questions? Korra?".

Korra nodded curtly, taking in all the information like a sponge. The idea of bringing back such power kind of invigorated her. She couldn't wait to be so free and all for her people.
"The cold doesn't cause fear within me, for if one has a warm heart then warmth should spread across as well, the bear taught me that" Korra smiled as she rowed swiftly. "Also if we follow the harsh currents we can allow the currents to lead us up into the north, all we need to do is be weary of the sharp rocks" she explained

"Read the words right out of my mouth didn't you Korra?", said nadie a smile crossing her lips,"A strong current ahead lets paddle there and then rest our arms for a bit.

Korra laughed "We think alike, you and I then" She said as she paddled towards the nearby current, "I think while we rest our arms, we can catch some fish that like to go upstream around her" She explained

Nadie peeked over the edge of the kanoe, she then placed her arm in the water, her body calm her eyes closed, in a minute with quick movement her hand shot out of the water holding around it the big mouth of a salmon,"She looked at her catch beat the side of its head against the kanoe to stop its flopping it stunned the fish long enough for her to whip out her knife and slice of the head she then tossed the head over to kora,"cut some of its flesh and stick on aline we will get a bigger fish", she answered, as she cut off the fins and skinned its scales, she then reached in her bag for a wooden bowl got some water from the river and stuck the fishes flesh into it, she washed off the flesh good, then getting a linen looking cloth out of her bag she placed the fishes flesh onto it and sprinkled it with a herb,''for the drying process", she explained.
[i honestly dont know how to dry fish so im just going with it i know you have to cook it at one point and let the meet sit out in the sun or something]

Korra caught the fishhead and carefully sttarted cutting the flesh up and suck it on multiple lines around the konoe, she then watched Nadie who began drying the fish. She paused and looked to the sky, she tied a rope to the back of her arrow and aimed for a duck.
She watched the duck came tumbling down to the ground after it was shot in the thigh, Korra then used the rope to pull the actual animal to the boa t. She smiled and began to work on it

Some of the liens that korra had set up began to tug, using skillful and careful hands nadie began to pull out the lines with big salmon on the ends of them even bigger than the one she caught hands free, she tossed them in the boat watching there bodys flip and flop for air once she had all the lines placed in she began to cut and degutt each fish, having many fish heads now she cut up the strips and put more lines back out, by now korra was almost finished with her duck, they would have much game before they came ashore and much cooking to do as well, though they cant carry to much food a good portion of it is necessary.

Korra had plucked the ducks feathers and placed a few in her pouch for safe keeping. The guts were then drained and she also placed them in with the other guts. She took the flesh and hung it on her spear until they reached land."the duck bill can be burned later for luck on our trip' She explained, looking out, watching for clear camp grounds

Nadie retrieved in more lines of fish as she heard korra talk, she nodded and smiled as she continued to work on the salmon, she nearly had a bag full of fish, she then stopped putting more on the line as she looked at the remaining fish heads, they wouild have to be disposed of, she thought about her seed in her pocket she would bury the fish heads when they reached the shore and plant the seeds ontop, she seen rapids ahead and looked over at korra, she then grabbed an oar and began to row before they hit rocks.

Korra strapped the bow to her bak and the quiver at her side once again before she took her paddle and steered them to follow the current but away from the jagged dangerous rocks. "What a rush!" she giggled happily, the wind blowing back her dark glossy hair.

Nadie just concentrated on her task ahead as she usually does, she barely even noticed herself beginning to sing in a sweet tuned voiced,"Carry us down the river spirits carry us down the river.. our brothers watch as we glide, take us safe passage through the tide... Our mothers watch us coming home down the river.. carry us down the river spirits carry us down the river..".

"Hm?" Korra listened carefully and smiled when the birds began to sing along with Nadie, the river seemed to create a soft melody as well. "We are one with nature" she whispered. She slowly sang along, not exactly singing words more like "Ah's and Ooh's"

Nadie continued to sing along her voice never missing a beat never getting higher or lower just a steady rythem like the beating drum, her eyes shifted as they dodged past sharp rocks even when there boat came close the going down a small waterfall her voice never jumped or heaved, she seen a clearing up ahead as dusk began to fall, on the river,"Carry us down the river spirits carry us down the river... we will land in the soft hunting grounds.. carry us down the river spirit carry us down the river.. time has come to part you now..", the last note faded as they had paddled near the shore line,"It is time to rest", she said her voice almost a whisper.

Korra jumped out of the konoe and onto land, she felt the wind blow against her, and laughed happily. "Thank you" she said, "i"ll start the fire you?" she asked

Nadie gazed at the her nodding, then began to unpack the kanoe and load the things in a small pile away from shore line so they wont get wet she dragged the kanoe up the bank and turned it over on its back she scooted it long ways so it was facing the trees, this is where her and korra would sleep tonight, she made a circle in the ground about 5 feet from where they where sleeping,"Place the wood here", she said, as she went back over to there things and began to unpack the fish she had caught today.
