"Yes," Sethrian said, looking up as Veith joined him. "It is my evil plan to buy a hairpin and stab someone with it. How dastardly of me." Though he tried not to look it, he was surprised Veith even approached him. He hadn't seen him or any of the others in so long and Veith was the last person he would expect to come say hello. Obviously, Veith had ulterior motives. Sethrian just wasn't sure what they were yet. But it was clear veith didn't like him.

Even more so now that Sethrian knew the others were probably off having fun together and leaving him out. Ugh. And now he was feeling depressed again. He sighed and picked up another hairpin, considering if Renivere would like it.

"Oooh! Is this cute little thing your girlfriend?" the owner asked, face lighting up. He was obviously forgetting Seth had said his girlfriend had long hair. "She's cute!"

Sethrian stared at the man as if he'd just sprouted a second head. It honestly would have been funny to hear him imply Veith was a girl if not for the fact it was Veith and Sethrian hated him. He raised and eyebrow and shot the man a cold glare. "No."

"Well, I suppose some do," Sethrian said, not looking at Veith. Girls all have different taste. I'll take this set. And one of those." He pointed to the stick barrettes he'd been looking at earlier.

The vendor grinned at him and quickly began to box things up while Sethrian got out his wallet. Sethrian finally gave Veith a sidelong look as he set the money on the counter. "So you're here alone? I'm surprised Kamil and Kasie aren't with you."

Since they'd apparently been spending a lot of time together lately. Or maybe the other two were still avoiding him.

After taking a relaxing swim, Monica had headed back to the hotel room and painted her nails and changed. She walked on the street of the market. She could smell different types of food, and little trinkets were everywhere.

Monica walked around the market, but couldn't see any familiar faces for the moment.

Veith almost choked, but there was nothing to choke on so he didn't really choke at all. But if he had been eating something, he would have died because of choking. However, that wasn't the case at all. Veith frowned at Sethrian who decided to continue with Kasie as a subject. "I'm not trying to find Kasie a gift. Why would I even go to the trouble?" Veith huffed indignantly. "And how in the world would you steal something from a ghost? It seems impossible."

He unconsciously followed after Sethrian. "Friends? No, no, no, no, no. I think you're misunderstanding something. They're like... weird animals that you have to humor to... uh... get them to leave you alone. They can't remember things very well, so planning things isn't very helpful most of the time. You should just go with a gut feeling or the spur of the moment kind of thing." Veith remarked. "...And I don't need you to play anything for me, thanks." As Veith quieted down, he started to reflect on what he said. What in the world did he just tell Sethrian?

Veith had a feeling that they might end up arguing all day. This guy is delusional! Very delusional! Either that or he was seeing things that were there and weren't there. Then again, he was a guy that was in love so he probably only saw that kind of thing. Veith glanced down at the ground in front of him as he walked beside Sethrain. "Well, it's not obvious enough since I haven't noticed it. Maybe you're just thinking too hard." Veith huffed. Besides, he refused to accept this! To like a ghost seemed like a pretty tragic thing.

"Wait? So you know about ghosts? Or actually... you probably know ghosts, but not so much about them. Never mind then. I said nothing. Forget it."

Veith frowned at what Sethrian was implying and he just shrugged. "Yeah. It's either you just cave in or you'll get a pestering ghost and a mopey merman that follows you around." He refused to even acknowledge that he even remotely enjoyed spending time with them because... Veith definitely liked books better! "But what about you? If you wanna hang around them so much, why don't you go find them? They're not that hard to find."

Veith frowned and shook his head. "Not really." Because Sethrian would probably misunderstand why he was asking. After all, he would just think it had something to do with Kasie.

"If you somehow managed to get them to hate you, then I'd like to know what it is." Veith said. After all, Veith was nothing like Sethrian, but in terms of emo and pessimism, Veith kind of lost to Sethrian. "But they don't seem smart enough to hint or keep a secret. It would just be very obvious. I don't think what you're thinking is the case at all." Because the thought of Kamil and Kasie avoiding Sethrian just didn't seem to work out in his mind very well.

Veith tensed up when Sethrian mentioned his going off on his own. No way was he telling Sethrian about the school! He was not dragging him into it! Er... it wasn't like he cared about him to drag him into the issue. It's just the less people who knew, the easier it would be to keep low. "It was... just health... issues." Veith answered. "It would be annoying if you guys knew about it, but it's not an issue anymore. I'm perfectly healthy for now."

"I believe cramps are 'a pain' even when you are in shape," Chloe teased. "At least that's been my personal experience with them."

As they walked, Chloe slipped her arm through Akito's mostly because it felt natural to do so when walking side by side with a man. "I can't imagine why anyone would ever treat you like dirt--especially not just because you're a normal Human. I mean, it isn't as if I'm not Human too," she told him. "I just...happen to also be a witch. Which, I suppose just means I'm a Human that's rather adept at magic. But it isn't as if not being able to use magic is some kind of fault."

"But I suppose that people--Human or otherwise--frequently make rather foolish decisions about these sorts of things, don't they? It's, sadly, easy to hate someone for being different."

When they reached the town, she stopped to look around, somewhat bewildered by all the shops and kiosks. "Oh...dear. I'm not quite sure where we should go first."

"Well, the udon, dango and sake, we'll be getting ready made from vendors," Chloe said, following Akito to the general store. "But I don't know if the resort will let us use their dishes so we should find disposable bowls, cups and chopsticks."

"And if there's anything you want to get while we're here, we can get that as well." As she looked around, trying to locate the things she wanted, she said, "I agree that the students do seem to get on well enough. Their disagreements seem to be the sort you'd find at any school."

"In fact, given some of the things they've gone through, it's a wonder they get along as well as they do. Monster attacks, kidnappings. I'm sure everyone is glad to be in a place they don't have to worry about those sort of things for a while."
