Aiden kept himself quiet around the current upcomings. Two new genin unlike himself had joined in the room causing Aiden to grow shy around the new people and making Balto chuckle to himself knowing about Aidens social awkwardness around anyone he hadn't already met. At the mention of being fed Aidens awkwardness disappeared into hunger as he grinned happily at the thought of being fed. As he received the headband he would tie it around his head and look towards the two girls and the jounin that was to train him. "Thank you, i'll wait at the dojo after food." he smiled as his stomach overruled all other thought processes in his body.
"Even the way ahead lies through a river of blood."
Watching everyone in the office she noticed her husband had taken it upon himself to make sure everyone got their headbands. It then dawned on her that she had forgotten that part of the whole process of being a Kage. She felt glad that at least someone had their head on straight. After Malakai placed the bird back on her desk she slightly grumbled but then went with it so as to not make too much of a fuss about what happened.
She turned to the cat-like girl and to the other girl in the room. She realized that the rest of her shinobi were off doing missions and were probably going to be a while and with these new genin they needed someone to teach them. Shaking her head she placed her hand to her forehead in a way of showing she had forgotten something. She called after Malakai hoping he heard her that he had two other genin to train up for now. Looking at the dark haired genin she noticed her sword.smiling some she pointed at it and made a small comment. "Very nice sword you got there, take good care of it you will never know when that blade will come in handy. You will be with Malakai training so you are gonna want to catch up."
She then looked back at the other girl, the one who gave her the bird as a gift. She heard everything she said and kinda tilted her head in a questionable look. She had no idea how to really take everything that she had said. She had said them almost rapidly and slightly broken not exactly full sentences but still enough to understand other then the fact that it was slightly blurred and the one thing she did catch was what she said at the end. That is what really caught her off guard. Her eyes went semi-wide with the last sentence she had said and she had to take a step back to catch herself. She had felt like she had just got hit by a sack of rocks to the chest for a moment there when she said what she had said. She looked to Kurai for a bit of assistance but he was all bundled up and was not making a peep other then the normal snore he always seemed to sleep at the most unwanted times.
She gulped trying to catch herself as she then spoke. "Well Kurai is a good friend, he would never hurt anyone. Also I am your Raikage so please address me as such if you would. Lady Koneko or Lady Raikage would be fine. Also aren't you a bit too old to be a Genin?" She kept trying to avoid really answering anything she had said earlier by trying to turn the attention back on her. She felt a bit strange not really knowing who this girl really was.She kept an eye on the girl for a few moments if this was some sort of a joke she wasn't really buying it. She waited for the girl to speak up and fill in the questions that seemed to be going through her head like a storm.
Kurai laid sleeping on his pillow unaffected by anything that was going on in the room at this time.

"Ive only had three birthdays!" She said happily, holding up three fingers on her hand. She had been in captivity by a scientist for most of her life. Her mannerisms also showed that she wasnt much in the way of socially acceptable. "Raikage?" She said, tilting her head. She knew the lady was important but didnt really know what the term meant. She was definitely the leader. New words always brought out her inquisitive side. She could see mistrust in her eyes, something she was pretty used to. She shrugged and looked off to a side of the room with nobody inhabiting the area. She shut her eyes for a moment then looked back at the raikage, her slit pupils only lending to her appearance. "Most of my life was in a cell." She said with a nod. "Going to put me back in one?" She asked, tilting her head and not really looking defensive.

º• When handed her headband, she smiled warmly and bowed her head in thanks, securing it around her right arm. Due to her concentration being half-fixated on the headband, when the red-headed man spoke to her in passing, she didn't have time to thank him for his words before he had already gone out of the office. Even still, she smiled. That katana was her pride and joy, her bread and butter. It was an extension of her body, to say the least. Any compliments towards it was like her physical self being complimented.
Hearing the Raikage speak she perked up, her eyes glittering, before nodding graciously at her statement. "Thank you, Milady, I will." She mentioned she would also be training with Malakai, the red-head who just left, she assumed? "Oh, all right! Thank you," she smiled up at her gratefully, offering a curt nod to the other woman in the room, who seemed quite enigmatic, if anything. A little strange, but that was more of an endearing quality in her eyes. She glanced side-long at the blonde who also received a headband, and was curious as to whether or not they would all be training together. With that, she would take her leave from the office, off to wherever she was expected to go.

Hitomi walked into the Raikage's office. She used to come here and play all the time as a small child, back when her father was the previous Raikage's adviser. She could only remember what it looked like now, and wonder how the new Kage had changed it. She tapped her cane on the ground and clicked her tongue, letting the echos of the sound bounce back to her ears and help her 'see' her surroundings."Excuse me.... Raikage?"

Koneko looked at the young girl and smiled. She didn't seem as threatening as she had thought. Shaking her head she felt bad for coming to that kind of assumption. "no I will not and I am sorry that it ever happened to you." She then patted the girl on the head as she then turned grabbing files off her desk. "Do you want to help me around the office? Be like my personal little helper?" As she then handed her some files and pointed to the back room of the office. "In there is a filing cabinet, could you please put them in the top drawer?"
She then heard a sound of a familiar voice she remembered hearing it when she used to take teaching time from her old teacher. He was the late Raikage's adviser, she smiled more as she then saw the girls beautiful face. She marveled at how much this girl had grown from when she first met the young girl. She remembered seeing the girl clinging to her father when she trained with him when he wasn't busy with helping the Kage.
Koneko's smile then changed when she remembered hearing that her teacher died protecting her previous Kage. She had wondered what happened to the little girl, but know she knew that she was fine. She then noticed that she was carrying a cane and remembered hearing that the girl was blinded at a young age and felt bad for her. "Hello Hitomi, You here for your headband i take it?" As she then went and grabbed a headband from her top drawer and held it out to her then realizing what she had done felt really retarded and placed it neatly in her hand.
She looked over at Kurai who had also heard her voice and had come trotting over sniffing her. She snickered slightly knowing that Kurai was pretty much a pup when he first saw her and she remembered when they used to play together. She enjoyed watching him again, He was a whole new dog and acted as if he was a puppy again. She missed seeing this side of him. Watching him intently she noticed that he was overly excited and if he wasn't careful he might knock her over with how fast his tail was going from seeing her again.
Kurai sat up quickly as he heard the girls voice. He was no longer sleeping he was almost like a whole new pup. He paced around Hitomi happily tail going about a mile a minute. He had missed his best friend for the longest time. Something about her was a bit off when he noticed the cane he sniffed it a few times and then sneezed. He wasn't for that damn stick and it wasn't something he was just gonna get used to. He growled slightly at it then ended up forgetting the cane and went back to being excited and started barking happily at her trying to get her to play once again with him.

Hitomi smiled slightly when she heard the sound of Koneko's voice, it had been so long since she had been around the other woman, it was nice to know that her father's teachings had done Koneko well. She heard the sound of a drawer opening, then silence for a moment before she felt cloth being placed in her hands. She took the headband and draped it on her shoulder so she could remove her blindfold, revealing her scars across her eyes and how hazy and useless they were; then tied her headband across her eyes in it's place. She heard the sound of claws clicking on the floor, and then felt wind around her knees and hips, as well as heard the sound of a canine sniffing, and then sneezing. She smiled, "Kurai? Is that you? I've missed you boy." Hitomi said as she carefully reached down and carefully moved her hand around until she felt soft fur. Kurai had gotten much bigger than she remembered him being, but that was normal for aging. She herself had gotten taller after all. She smiled to herself and tilted her head slightly, "It has been too long since we saw each other last, Koneko. Or would you prefer Lady Raikage now?"

"Yes! Ill be best helper.." She said with a tone of finality. She took the papers and flitted into the back room. For now she placed the files in the proper location, her eyes moving about the back room and memorizing every little detail from top to bottom. This all happened very quickly and her change in demeanor would barely be perceptible before it returned to that of the child. She slipped the papers into the top drawer and tried her best not to royally ******** things up like she had a habit of doing in general. '
Koneko watched Kurai and Hitomi sat together she really didn't have much to say towards her. Looking at the young girl she smiled. "Were slight childhood friends, well at least you and Kurai more so. But Lady Raikage so as to not have 'favorites.' " As she then used her hands to do the quotation marks for emphasis. Then realized she had done it and again felt stupid. She wondered what the young girl was doing taking time to just put a few files away. She tapped her foot waiting for her to come back.
Kurai Sat down and got comfy near Hitomi. He was happy to see the young girl. Sniffing her over again and again.He looked to Koneko sneezing a few times to show his excitement. Laying his head against the young girl he wanted more pets.

Hitomi chuckled as she felt and heard Kurai's reactions. He was always adorable in the past, and it seemed nothing had changed. It was strange, how this all felt almost familiar, yet she knew things were different. She continued to pet Kurai, "Of course, Lady Raikage."She said as she ran her sensitive fingers through Kurai's soft pelt. She had done all the training she could at the moment, now she was merely at the beck and call of her Kage until she earned enough experience to be promoted to Chunnin. "I missed you too Kurai. It's been lonely since....."

"All done!" she said enthusiastically popping out from the room. She wasnt sure what else to do at the moment, so her eyes just wandered all over the room taking in small details as she moved around sniffing at things calmly. She moved over next to the girl giving out pets and sat on her hands and feet, wondering if she could sneak pets herself. To further her current goal she mimicked the doggy in the room and leaned her head against the girls other side.
Koneko Looked to the young girl who had finally came out of the filing room. Smiling some she spoke. "If you wanted to just go and train or maybe just walk around the village I wouldn't mind." She was mostly trying to get the girl to leave to office for a while since well she didn't need her at this time. Looking back to Kurai she giggled at the fact her dog still had not left the girls side. As she then saw the cat like girl move to Hitomi's other side and try to do the same that Kurai was doing. Tilting her head to the side she didn't really understand what was going on but like the girl said earlier she pretty much was locked in a cage for a long time, that she probably didn't understand a lot of the way things were run around here.
Kurai Sat and let Hitomi pet him for however long she wanted he didn't seem to mind at all. When the cat girl tried immitating him he kinda gave a confused look as to what this girl was doing. He sneezed in confusion and then trotted back towards Koneko. Where he sat waiting to see what would take place. Something was off about this cat girl and he was going to figure out what. He whined a little bit but was quickly patted on the head by Koneko to calm him. They spoke between each other through their minds. So as to not have any intruders that could hear their conversations. Kurai then stared at the cat girl not taking his eyes off her. Not in a threatening manner but just enough to let her know that he was going to keep an eye on her.

Hitomi smiled slightly at the feeling of Kurai under her fingers, but frowned in confusion when heat gathered on her other side. She shrugged it off though and petted the warmth. It took a moment though and she blinked her useless eyes behind her headband when she felt ears and then a human face with her fingers, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pet you as if you were an animal or something."She said as she took her hand back and reached for her cane. She picked it up and carefully stood. "I can leave if you wish, Lady Kazekage."

Kichona seemed almost transfixed by the caresses on her head and face, her chest letting out a low purring rumble that quickly reached the ears of those around her. She smiled inwardly knowing that she confused the doggy. Her eyes shut as she watched it walk across the room and she nuzzled the hand of the kind girl. By the time she felt her face, Kichona's had turned a light shade of pink from the attention. She looked up at her confused when she apologized. "No, I like being petted!" She said, standing up to her full size with her back arched just slightly as she stretched. She nodded and pulled her hood back up over her head. "I can go train now. But I think your doggy has a cold. He keeps sneezing." She said with a sagelike nod as she turned and walked through the door, back out of the room with her hands in her hoodie's pocket. She wasn't going to really train but her mind was going into operative mode. To keep from drawing suspicion she would have to display under a certain skill level with her techniques unless absolutely necessary. Her eyes shut as she walked, no sound of her leaving detectable as she went out the door and into the sun.

Jun and Nori Koshu "Let's go this way!" | Genin | Kumogakure | The Twins of Kumogakure | 390/390 | Tsuinzu Support | Puppeteer | Medical | Suiton | Doton | As a female with feline ears exited the Raikage's office, a pair of twins would be whispering to each other, arguing quietly as to where the office is. The boy with pink hair sighed and grabbed Jun's arm. "Come on Jun, she's in this one." Nori said, pulling his brother with him into the room that the woman left. Once inside, Nori nodded and looked around. There was the Raikage, her wolf and another girl in the room with them. Spotting quite a few free chairs, Nori sat down on one while Jun walked over to the wolf beside the Raikage. "Hey there wolfy wolf." The pair waited to be addressed by the Raikage, waiting their turn.
