"Oh really? Well that's certainly interesting. I wonder what would happen if you ever met my sister. If your power made her's stronger, maybe then she could learn more about it," he remarked thoughtfully, looking up and to the right as he considered it. Then he shrugged and brought his gaze back down to Menolly's face. "What do you say we get you home now, Menolly?"

Menolly thought on that a moment, "I would be willing to give it a try. Only, she would have to be careful. My brother did the same thing for too long and both of us got really tired." The event was marked in her mind because of the distress she felt when her brother passed out. No matter how tired Menolly was, she really didn't want to head home just yet. Rubbing her eye with her small fist she says, "I would like to explore a bit more, maybe find other places to stay as well." The idea of being alone again was what prodded away her fatigue for now, cold fear can do that.

"Well let's not worry about that for now. I don't think you'll get an opportunity to meet my sister for awhile yet. She's always so busy hanging around her boyfriend," Wolfwood explained with a bit of a chuckle. When Menolly responded to his suggestion, he nodded understandingly and said, "Alright. Let's head this way." He turned back the way he had come and, carefully keeping an arm around the younger female, started walking leisurely.

Boyfriend? She wondered about that and asked, "What is a boyfriend?" That was a very unfamiliar term for her. With her head tilted to the side quizzically. When they turned and started to walk, she stayed comfortably glued to Wolfwood's side. Even with as tired as she was, this was an easy pace to keep up.

Wolfwood scratched the back of his neck as he thought about how to tell to Menolly what a boyfriend is. "Well, it's kind of hard to explain. When you find a guy that you like more than just a friend, someone you care very deeply for, you'll understand."

Menolly started to ask him something further on the subject. Instead, she began humming joyfully. With a slight bounce in her step, she just enjoyed where she was, watching what was around with great interest. With a slight 'ooo' sound when she saw a little rabbit bouncing around. The creature had her interest until she saw a bird, then she followed the bird with her eyes, moving her head as the bird dipped or rose in altitude.

Wolfwood gave Menolly a sideways glance, expecting some follow-up questions but when none were forthcoming, he shrugged inwardly and looked around at their surroundings as well. He wasn't quite so impressed with everything as she was but he still appreciated it, even if it was only for it's aesthetic value.

Silence was fine with Menolly, talking wise, it was comfortable to her. Still, she is quizzical and wanted to know about the world she had never gotten to see, "What places have you been too, Wolfwood?" She looked up, her golden eyes resting on him again as she waited for an answer. Wondering so much, she had no idea what the size of this place was, or how many building, animals and groups of trees that it had. Exploring by herself would be difficult.

"Here on Telrunya? Not very many places. I've been to the pae'il HQ and I've been to the lake. And obviously here in the forest. Nowhere else though. How about you Menolly?"

Menolly shifted through those vague memories of her first moments awake. Not even frowning with thought, she was thinking hard to recall. "Well, I remember a place of old stone from my first memory. I can't say where it was or how my family and I got there."
Dropping the confusion, as she seemed to be able to do with any emotion not in the happy family, she kept on more confidently, "The only other place that I have been is my family home." Looking behind her a moment, "Back that way not too to far from here. I could never really explore until now. I suppose if I asked my brother he'd come with me." It would have been smarter to have Eros with her, they were twins and he was very used to her need to be hugged or atleast touching someone else.
She wondered about these places Wolfwood talked about, "What is the HQ and the lake like? Where are they?" Her head was lightly tilted, her habit when she was curious about something a person has to say.

"I suppose I should've expected that you haven't been around much. But it didn't hurt to ask," Wolfwood remarked, smiling. Chuckling at the way Menolly had her head cocked to one side, he reached out with his free hand and gently poked her nose. "Well, HQ is an interesting enough place. The guardians can usually be found there. In fact, that's where they brought my sister and I to our caretaker, Elros. As for the lake, well, that's someplace you'd have to visit to appreciate." He paused for a moment to get his bearings. It took him longer than he would have liked but he wasn't about to let got of Menolly so he could fly up and take a quick look around. When he did finally figure out where they were he said, "C'mon. The lake is this way."

Menolly agreed, it never did hurt to ask. At having her nose poked, she first binked in surreise then giggled vivberently, her golden eyes danceing a bit. She liked, Wolfwood, he was fun and nice. Menolly liked everyone and loved her family without exception, but it was fun to have reasons to tack on to why she liked someone.
She added to her amusement by thinking that she'd run out of tacks. Caretaker was another word she didn't know, but she assumed a caretaker was another word for a Momma or Daddy. The HQ sounded like a good place to go to, for it sounded like there would be others there a lot.
The lake also sounded like fun. She was ecstatic when he said they'd go to the lake. "Yay! I cannot wait to see it." It should be lots of fun, she was sure.

"Well, you'll have to try and be patient, Menolly. I know in which direction the lake lies but I don't know how far we'll have to walk to get to it. So, I apologize in advance if it takes a long time." Wolfwood offered Menolly a smile, removing his arm from around her shoulders and taking ahold of her hand instead.

Menolly didn't even have time to be dismayed when Wolfwood stopped hugging her then held her hand. It was the same thing to Menolly, so long as there was contact then she was fine. Skipping a long a bit she says brightly, all the while smiling, "I do not mind." She wondered what to do during the walk. So she asks, "What is your favorte type of animal?" Even in her skipping walk, she still had her head tilted to the side lightly as she looked towards Wolfwood more then where she was going.

"I don't really have a favorite animal. It's never come up before," Wolfwood answered, making sure to steer Menolly around jutting tree roots and anything else she could trip on. "What's your favorite type of animal?"
