He reached out and lightly patted her hand, smiling softly. "It's alright, it probably came out sounding that way too, I'm sorry." His head tipped listening intently as he drew his hand back, his eyes lit up as he listened to her explain Ember.
"Oh, Urban is my bodyguard." he shifted to look behind himself, and through the crowd saw him just outside the building, watching. "See the Aggron guy out there? That's him. He's been following me the entire time. Apparently my being out on my own isn't a good idea, due to a couple of...enthusiastic fans." he blushed some with a shrug. "He promised to give me my space though for the date." Which was nice!
He'd opened his mouth to say something in Reese's defense, but found he couldn't, and instead it snapped shut silently, a wry smile given as he picked at some of his food. "He only does it when we're alone. I think he knows Urban wouldn't tolerate it. He's...well sort of scary at times. Urban I mean, but never towards me. He's always been nice to me at least. So I'm pretty sure that's why Reese does what he does when it's just us."
He was blushing a little speaking of Urban. He was impressed by the bigger teen, how could he not be? He was big, strong, could fight, had an impressive attitude...there was obviously some unspoken feelings about him in Jayme.
"Wait a human beat you running? How?" he was all ears again, eyes wide. It was easy to see he was enjoying hearing about her, and wanted to hear more. "How did she take to you changing from a regular Houndour?" his head tipped, and he was smiling brightly. Yes, he was fascinated by her honestly.

"Bodyguard?" Solange asked with obvious surprise. She followed his gaze outside, and was surprised to see an...interesting man standing outside. Interesting in the way that she wanted to both battle against a bodyguard of all things, especially now that she knew he liked to fight, but also that she wanted to talk with him. He seemed like an interesting person. "That was nice of him."
It eased some of Solange's concerns knowing that Urban was there for Jayme, in his own little way. "I'm glad, actually, to know that he cares enough about you to stay hidden from me like that. I didn't even know he was there until you pointed him out. I might have tried to attack him or something had I known we were being followed." She laughed.
"She cheated, I think. Cordelia probably took a side street when I wasn't watching. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until the race was already over, and I had been given a snug little Poke'ball." She shrugged. "As for the change, she was kind of excited, actually. She's not an easy person to get a long with, and tends to run a lot of her friends off. I had already shown her I wasn't going anywhere, and now we could do things a little more 'normally' together."

"Yeah I have a couple of fans that are a little on the...creepy side. So Reese after the first time one of them tried to come on stage with me, hired Urban." there was a warm smile at the mention of the Aggon's name. "He's sort of in your face but he's honestly really nice when you get to know him. Even if he's got a weird sense of humor." Urban was probably the best thing to come out of the whole Reese thing. "He's more like my best friend these days than bodyguard."
There was a soft laugh from Jayme and he looked relieved in a way she wasn't totally weirded out by Urban more or less following them. "He does well at blending in despite his size."
He pushed the last of his food away, he never could finish it all but it tasted delicious anyhow. There was a low laugh given as he listened to Solange. "Sounds like she's an interesting person to be around, difficult or not. I can't say I've ever been inside a Pokeball myself." he looked thoughtful.

When the staff member came to drop off the tab, Solange snatched it up and handed it back to them, cash included. It had always been her intention to pay for the meal, and after some of the things she had heard tonight about Jayme she figured it was the least she could do.
"If your done here, why don't we bail out? Go see that club of yours, maybe hit a desert stand on the way there?" That's what people did on a date, right? Got sweets? Even if she was positive this wasn't really a date anymore, he might want something along those lines. "If I stay here much longer I'm going to want to order more." She laughed.

He laughed softly, and nodded his head. "There's this nice little stand on the way to the club we can try there." well why not? He got to his feet then, and offered his hand to Solange with a smile. He had manners, after all.
He didn't argue her paying the bill, he suspected she'd kick his butt if he did! So if she wanted to pay...well he'd simply put his money back away hopefully unnoticed, really!
He held the door open for her, and tilted his head in the direction they were going. "It's this way. You'll see it before long." it was such a nasty green color, how could she not?

"Sounds like a plan to me." She smiled and found herself too busy making sure her dress didn't ride up her thigh to notice his money. When she was up on her feet, balance safely achieved on those accursed heels, flipped her braid over her shoulder.
Solange even had the good graces to blush when he held the door open for it. It wasn't because of the date, or that he was her type or anything, because, well, he wasn't, but it was the action. No one had ever done anything that sweet to her before, and she found herself liking Jayme all the more.
She said something in a vain attempt at a joke, even while she tried to walk upright in those damn heels. The night was young, and so were they, so she was going to soak it up like she wouldn't have another like it in her life!
