yea my had helps me out (or himself he plays too) so when one of us gets new gear( aka my daddy buys himself or me new gear) its like we share lol xd

Im 13 and been playing for like 3 or 4 years...gunna get a job this summer working for my aunt...i have the shittiest gear ever and it really affects my playing..im accutally pretty good for my age..my guitar has fret buzz so bad some wont even make noise...all my gear was bought at a pawn shop....my parents like for me to play classical guitar better...they dont support me playing my electric...i have a band..

Well,
I just turned 14 in January.
Right now, I've been playing for 7-8 months.
Apparently, I'm a great guitarist.
o.O'
People are always amazed at how well I play seeing as I haven't been playing for long.
I don't take any lessons.
All self-taught (with a little help from meh dad).
Right now, I'm half way through the solo in 'One' by Metallica.
So frigin' hard.
I'm too slow...damn fingers....

Right now, I'm half way through the solo in 'One' by Metallica.

I'm too slow...damn fingers....DxI recommend proper finger excercises for improving speed and accuracy. I know it sounds way over-said, but practicing the finger excercises DOES help. I can post scans of a GuitarONE magazine which has several of these patterns, etc, plus an article to boot. If you or anyone else is interested, I'll post them in a new thread.

13 years old and have been playing for about 6 months. Yea, i dont think i'm too bad and neither do most of my friends but i'm not sure

Fifteen, been playing two years although you'd never guess it. Heh, I could probably say I've been playing eight or nine years and people would believe me if I weren't so young. xd

i'm 26, apparently i'm a relic in this crowd. i got a good job that pays poorly and i can usually only afford gear when i get my tax return.

14 and been playing since September 2004. I played, stopped, played, went on vacation and forgot some stuff, played, went on vacation again and almost forgot some stuff and im still playing. Usually couldnt play when i went on vacation i had no guitar to play but luckily my cousin got into the guitar. I love playing Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Children of Bodom and Iced Earth songs alot.
I work at my dad and cousins job every few months. I wouldnt mind working at the Guitar Center in my area (Can do whatever Id want there and it's ******** fun). Just need to be 18 if Im correct.
