Kataith, attacking Firith
Ever observant, even when attacking, Kataith noticed the claw moving to try and shred her wing and she banked as soon as she had made contact on the other's hide, almost using her grip on Firith to aid her turn, She strove to sink teeth into a rump. Not wanting to kill, no that would be stupid, but at least force the other to back off and see sense... hopefully.

Firith (with Ralla), Attacking Kataith
Snarling in frustration at her repeated failures to hurt her opponent, Firith was nonetheless quick to avoid taking a bite from behind. Turning tightly, she lashed out at Kataith once again. She didn't aim this time; she'd take whatever part of her she could get!

Kataith, attacking Firith
Kataith hissed as she was forced to bank away from Firith, her rear stung as her flank had been hit. She turned, making a wide circle around Firith, tightening it with each pass, trying to confuse the other Green as well as taking time to recover from the initial sting of injury, trying to fight with a clear head and not get angry. As she moved in closer she aimed a swipe at Firith's head.
Z'en was frozen on place, every time the two greens met, then missed, his heart skipping a beat, he just hoped that the leather keeping him on Kataith's back would hold out. It had survived a Fall, but if dragon claws tore it.. he was going to fall, he just knew it.

The strike caught her on her left eyeridge, eliciting a sharp, angry snarl. That had been far too close to her eye! Rather than take time to recover, Firith lashed out almost reflexively. They seemed more closely matched than she would ever admit, and she was intent on bringing Kataith down as soon as possible.

Kataith, attacking Firith
Kataith snarled, she'd been too close, she's scored a hit along the other's eyeridge, that should hamper her, but got tagged in the process, forcing her to wheel again, recovering herself. Her snarl was more frustration at herself than anger, she knew she was getting Firith angry and an Angry dragon made mistakes, She banked again, diving in for another attack, aiming for a shoulder this time, trying to get Firith in a place she was less likely to get the favor returned. That was twice she'd been hit in the same shoulder and she could feel the Ichor oozing down her hide.
Z'en cried out when Kataith had hit the other dragon along the eyeridge. "NO Kataith... don't blind her" he said sternly, not really wanting the other dragon hurt at all but certainly not wanting the other Green to be impared. He winced as he felt Kataith take another hit.

Not only did the hit to her shoulder sting - and would more than sting later, when the adrenaline had worn off - it also served to open the recent wounds she already bore there. The little green hissed her displeasure and snapped at the other dragon's forepaw. She had no such compunctions about maiming her enemy, no matter who they were.

Kataith squealed as teeth clamped on her forepaw, more out of pain than anything, she was sort of trapped at the moment but she backwinged, making her foot hurt more but gaining just a little distance to be able to aim another swipe at Firith's face. She wasn't going down that easily, no chance.

Firith felt a surge of satisfaction, tempered only by the fact that she hadn't done as much damage as she would have liked to; she wanted to impair the other dragon, for the sheer sake of practicality. Mangling her foot would have made it harder for Kataith to strike, and given Firith the advantage. Still, a hit was a hit, and she wasn't going to complain.
Jerking her head back out of the way of the swipe, she tried to bite her again and thereby dissuade her from further attacks on her face.

Avoiding the next bite by swinging her paw down out of the way, she struck out again at Firith's face, if she couldn't get her to back off without major damage, well.... "Sorry mine but we must do this" she sent to him alone, when she felt his reluctance. The other seemed intent on doing as much damage as possible, while Kataith just wanted her to back down, doing as little hurt as she could... or she had, until those teeth had hit her paw the first time.

Really? Again? Kataith was becoming predictable with these strikes at her face, and Firith easily avoided this latest attempt. Thoroughly annoyed now, she decided to give her opponent a taste of her own medicine, and tried to rake her claws across her face.

Kataith managed to move her head enough so that Firith's claws missed her eye but she got raked below it and along her snout. She turned her head and snapped at the offending claw, bringing a leg up to go for the shoulder again, mindful, thanks to Z'ens mental warnings, of the Leather straps holding Ralla in place, she purposefully tried her best to avoid those.

Thankfully, Firith was quick to draw back her forepaw, well aware that it was a prime target - she had just bitten Kataith's, after all! And then she tried to get her on the shoulder, prompting a snort from the green as she swooped out of range of the attack.
Angling back in, she tried to catch at the other's tail.

Oh no she didn't!... Kataith snarled and flicked her tail, muscles bunching under the weight of the other Green latched onto her. She tried to twist, and rake at the face again, either to hurt, or force the other green to release her tail NOW.

Oh yes she did! But she held on just a little too long, and it earned her claws across her muzzle. Snarling, Firith powered forward, aiming to unbalance Kataith as much as strike her. She could tell that the other green was in poor shape, and she intended to press her advantage as much as possible.
