LuLu's lavender eyes snapped towards Sevilin and the look she wore held nothing but malice. The rabbit wanted to know why the fairy had followed her and she wanted to know now. The fabric of her red hoodie ruffled as she crossed her arms, her posture tightened to look stern and demanding like a princess passing judgement. "Why are you here? I am not going back," she punctuated her sentence with a sneer. Being the brat that she was, Lu was practically daring Sevvie to make a move.
A buffer zone of a few feet was placed between the freis, LuLu hovered around the edge of the cliff daintily. Unfortunately, as the rabbit observed her surrounding, she became painfully aware of the fact she had been corned; however, she was also not going to back down.

"Well, you don't get a choice in the matter apparently, and neither do I..." He made it clear as possible that he hadn't floated after her because he had wanted to. There were extenuating circumstances he just couldn't control presently, that was all. Sevilin was supposed to apologize as well, but that wasn't going to happen and Lulu wouldn't tell Josh such a thing, so We`rika would never find out.
He crosses his arms over his chest to imitate Lulu so she could see just how ridiculous this petulance looked. "Look, none of us want to stand out here in the middle of nowhere any longer, so spare me the rest of this little tantrum since you don't have an audience anymore and just come back..."
When she made no move to comply, the sea fairy sighed dramatically, set his cherry-red lips in a scowl and floated closer to her. "You are coming back whether you like it or not!" he shouted at her, lunging for her arm. In comparison, he wasn't the stronger one of the two, but he would do his best to make up for that with the element of surprise.... and salt.

LuLu was on guard as Sevilin approached. Though that was no surprise to anyone, she never allowed herself to relax around the other raevan. He was crafty which LuLu did not like. Furthermore, the fairy had a way of being tougher than he looked; she was still unsure if it was skill or luck he had on his side. Whatever it was, it usually spelled bad news for the girl.
The rabbit did not want to find out what Sevilin had planned for her if he did manage to catch her. It would probably involve a lot of gloating and name calling at Lu's expense. Instinctively the rabbit reared back as Sevilin made his move. As he lunged, she lurched further and further towards the edge of the cliff in an attempt to pull her arm out of his reach. She kept moving away from Sevilin even as the ground beneath her departed. That is, until she began to feel herself falling.
LuLu's voice came out a shrill cry as a downward tug began to pull her away from the other, more grounded frei. "Sev!" Suddenly, her goals had drastically changed. Her arms shot out in a blur trying to claw for Sev, for anything that would prevent her from taking a nose dive off the bluff. Unfortunately, too far away from both Sevilin and the cliff side, her hands never found a makeshift life preserver to cling to. Even Sevilin's hair, whipping back and forth in the wind, evaded her grasp teasingly. LuLu's cries grew more desperate as her counterpart grew further away, "SEV!" She continued to creep further and further down the cliff side against her will. Glowing madly, her rune's innate ability to float was creating a small buffer; nevertheless, she was still oozing lower and lower at a unnervingly slow pace as though she was caught in a slow motion film.
She gave a few fervent pumps of her wings. They crackled and snapped in a sickening way due to their disuse. Flopping around in the air behind her, they looked more like flamboyant party fans rather than anything coordinated enough for flight. It seemed as though the land loving frei had inadvertently handicapped herself when it came to heights greater than a few feet, and this fall was certainly beyond a few feet.
By some force of benevolence, LuLu's desperate struggle worked for a few moments. She managed to safely cover about half the distance of the cliff face. She was hovering in the air like a wobbling leaf caught on the breeze. However, in the end, the rabbit's fight against gravity was futile as she began to sink a bit faster than before. Like any other rabbit thrown off a cliff she was destined to fall to the bottom. Finally, sapped of all energy, her wings and her rune gave out and the raevan plummeted like a stone.
"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-" *sploosh*
LuLu bobbed in the water at the base of the cliff like a wet plastic bag twisting and turning on the current. She called up at Sev with a wave, "Get me out of here!" There was a small hiccup of frustration in her throat. She was soaked to the bone but she had survive the fall.... and managed to avoid a number of jagged rocks.

It was entirely possible that Sevilin could have done more to actually catch her, but the whole situation was simply too bizarre to do anything but watch it unfold. And, to be fair, it wasn't like the frei knew she couldn't, you know, float. It was kind of one of those things that all raevans knew how to do, what with not having legs and all.
The sea fairy simply waited for Lulu to stop acting so dramatic and start floating like a normal frei, but it... just wasn't happening. As she went over the side, Sevilin floated up closer and leaned over the steep cliff. And there she was, bobbing around in the surf like a lost coconut.
"Uh, hell no! You got yourself down there, you can just act like a big girl and float your soggy ears out of there!" he called down from the bluff. Honestly, he couldn't tell if this was extremely amusing or just annoying because it was taking all the longer for them to get back home.

LuLu snapped her wings at Sevilin in a ditch attempt to pass as any kind of threatening. However, out of her element, the rabbit merely succeeded in blanketing herself in a wave of sea water and reminding herself of just how sore her wings were going to be in a few hours. No longer able to run away from the situation, it appeared as though she was finally faced with the grotesque truth that her only option was now diplomacy. She called up to Sev, "I can't." The slightest twinge of embarrassment seeped into her voice. "I was never the best at floating. I hover." LuLu was glad Sevilin was not down there with her. Seeing the mortified flush on her face wold have just given him more ammo to fire at her. It pained the frei to admit such a weakness to one of her enemies in addition to needing them for help. She almost wished that she could just drown herself then and there.
"EEP!"
LuLu cried out as something substantial and slimy brushed along her arm. The frei was faced with the indecisive battle that every deep water swimmer faced at one point or another: Seaweed or something more sinister? Lu decided she had enough excitement for one day and calmed her mind by appraising the intrusion as a harmless piece of algae. "Hurry! It is gross down here."
Oddly enough, the seaweed seemed discontent with her choice to leave and became more aggressive. The slimy thing brushed along her arms once again. The rabbit tried to evade the seaweed while emitting another squeak of horror; however, the deep water was too dark to sea through or negotiate running away. Even when she paddled toward the rocks seeking refuge from the nagging strip of sea grass, it wrapped loosely around her arm as though anchoring her in the deeper surf. She shook her limb violently to dislodge the algae, but her action had the opposite effect. Its grip around her forearm began to tighten slowly until it was almost painful. Then the seaweed tugged at her extremity forcefully almost sending her under the surface of the water. LuLu's composure snapped as she was faced with the fact that her pursuer was not seaweed at all.
The frei lifted her arm out of the water slowly afraid of what she would see. As the murky water parted she let out a gasp. Digging the mocha brown of her skin was a slick pink protrusion that could only be described as a giant tongue. Swallowing any pride she had left, the rabbit did thing only thing she could think of. She begged for help.
"SEV! PLEASE, PLEASE!!!! GET ME OUT!!!"

Leave it to Lulu to turn this into a damsel in distress moment. Thankfully television had prepared him for rescuing women from monsters of all shapes and sizes. "Hang on!" he shouted down to her while he floated with the swiftness of a seasoned professional. "Keep kicking--Err, swimming!" he corrected as he hovered over the breaking surf of the rocks, unconcerned with how drenched he was growing from the churning froth around Lulu.
At this level he could no longer make out the bulbous shape of the creature, but by the looks of the large spiny fin that broke the water's surface, it was huge. The sea fairy had never seen a leviathan up close and it was rather scary, especially since they were perfectly bite-sized for its long, toothy maw. Simply grabbing at her other arm and pulling her away was going to rip her in half, so the little frei pressed himself against her back and grabbed her chest with one frail hand while the other held onto her strained shoulder with all his might.
If it came down to a test of strength, they were both at a terrible disadvantage, so he had to come up with some other way to get her released. "S-Stop! Stop this!" he shouted at the creature, knowing full well it understood him. "She's not worth it! She's stringy!"

LuLu was rightfully shocked when Sevilin actually flitted down to her rescue. He sailed on the air like a superman from some action film. The spray of the waves splashing against him were catching the setting sunlight to make it appear like flecks of liquid gold were surrounding him. In Lu's eyes, it added to the whole epic hero effect and made it seem all that more outrageous. From past experience, it was impossible for Sevilin to keep his ego in check long enough to do a favor for the rabbit. It seemed even more out of character now when there was a risk that Sevilin could get pulled into the mess too. The frei titled her head at the fairy in confusion and to avoid getting any more sea water in her already bleary eyes. Perhaps she had been too quick to judge.
However, soon, there was another strong tug at her arm that pulled LuLu away from her thoughts of how "cool" Sevilin was being. She emitted a faint squeak like an animal drowning when her head dipped under the waves again. The frail arm that wrapped itself around her was unwelcome at first since she knew who it belonged to. She almost slapped it away. Who wanted Sevvie funk on them? She certainly did not.
Though, she had to remind herself just what situation she was in. The other frei seemed to be there to help, even if it was not necessarily genuine. Lu figured Sev would use this as blackmail later. Either way, LuLu was in need of saving now and Sev was going to be the knight in shining armor to her damsel in distress whether she liked it or not. She hooked her free arm around the sea fairy's neck and tried to tug herself away. The rabbit used the collar of Sevilin's shirt to try to wipe the salt from her blurring, reddening eyes. She called back uncertainly at the hiding beast trying to help the situation in the only way she knew how, "Y-yeah! What he said."

A rumble like an earthquake resonated from the bowels of the monster as it answered Sevilin's commands, violently tossing the water into frothing chaos around him. If it wasn't for the fact that the sea fairy had a hold of Lulu, she probably would have drowned from the constant spray that pelted them both across the jagged rocks. That damn ditz couldn't have picked a more lethal stage to be valiantly saved from than this. If he wasn't genuinely worried about his safety, Sevilin would have been impressed by what her melodrama had brought upon them.
"Please let her go! I don't want to hurt you--!" Apparently, that hadn't been the best thing to say because a terrible noise erupted from the leviathan like the crack of doom. It wasn't going to let her go on principle if nothing else, and the sea fairy had no choice but to get rid of its tongue the only way he knew how. Trying hard to pull deep within him a feeling of instinctive terror, he placed one of his hands around the offensive tongue that wouldn't let go of Lulu. With all his might, he pushed as much salt out of his body as he could until he felt the corrosive material begin dissolving on the slimy tastebuds of the sea monster's tongue.
It didn't take long for the monster to get the point. As the soft, vulnerable muscle began to erode away under the tight fist of the sea fairy, the behemoth cried out. It let go if Lulu and Sevilin didn't wait another moment in case the thing decided to change its mind. With his arm already wrapped around her, the little frei hoisted the woman up as he began to frantically head for the top of the cliff. What a load she was! It was going to be her fault if they dropped back down in the watery depths!
"Help me here!" he shouted beside her cheek. "Flap your damn wings!"

LuLu could have chuckled at Sevilin's threat if it was not, perhaps, the only thing keeping then from being dragged down to the bottom of the sea. She knew how empty it was. The fairy could hardly hurt her let alone a giant leviathan that was hell bent on using their bones for snacking.
The rabbit's eyes fluttered wide as wave upon wave crashed into them, the leviathan's own booming voice washed out. Foam sprayed around them making it difficult for her to follow Sev's actions. Nevertheless, she was shocked and a bit impressed to see the other frei make short work of the monster's tongue. Apparently, LuLu had not given Sevilin enough credit today. He still had a few tricks that could help them get to safety.
The female frei let out a frightened peep her hands shoot up to inspect the wet limb encircling her, nearly mistaking it for something much less friendly. She was even more vocal once she had been shoved unceremoniously against the rock face and, of course, Sevilin was now barking demands at her. The rabbit whined pitifully at him looking so much like a drowned rodent and so out of place in the water, "I am trying!" Indeed she was. However, her wings flapped around more like wet blankets than anything else. Her fingers clung desperately to the slick stones above her. She has to resort to strength rather than magic or flying. Her arms trembled from a mix of cold and fear as she scaled the first foot. Then the next. She was inching higher on her own, but not nearly fast enough. By the time she was at the sixth foot, she was at a crawl. Still close enough to the water to hear the leviathans rumble and still to far away to see their freedom.
She looked back at Sevilin with concern in her amethyst eyes. Her voice wavered, "If... if I do not make it Sev..."

"Oh, shut up!" Sevilin squawked as they precariously float-climbed up the treacherously steep cliff they had tumbled from. he could no longer feel the slap of waves, but he was more concerned about the length of the monster behind them. The little frei was right to be scared, because as the tide rocked against the rocks, the sea behemoth rode the inertia and hurled itself as hard and as far up the cliff as it could.
The impact was jarring. Rocks above and below began to drop into the sea, churning water and spray against the cliffs. What awaited them was a watery grave or a small meal within the leviathan's stomach. Neither of those seemed very appealing to Sevilin on this particular day. "If--you--don't make it--" the sea fairy grunted as he kept his slippery grip on the rocks. "--then I--get--murdered! So let's be--pro-active here!" Who knew if Lulu could hear him over the roar of the ocean and the pissed off fish, but at least it would cancel any extra melodrama that came out of her mouth. Honestly, she was taking all the good lines!

LuLu cringed and hugged herself to the rocks like they were some sort of security blanket. She could just barely see a splay of fins and scales out of the corner of her eye. The rabbit may have let out a sob if not for the fear which paralyzed her.
The serpent slammed into the rocks once again try to knock its prey into the liquid abyss below. LuLu relocated her lost voice when one of her hand holds were jarred free. She watched the rock clatter and slam into the waves, lost forever. Now holding on for dear life with only hand made everything seem much more bleak. It took all of her might to swing herself back up and regain her previous position. She grasped blindly for the first rock jutting from the slick wall. Her fingers found a stone that was particularly soft... and squishy. LuLu blinked in shock as she realized she had actually found Sevilin's hand.... and was currently holding it. She quickly pulled herself further letting go of that ledge in favor of one higher up and less Sevilin-y. Their trek on the wall had resumed and they were already halfway there. However, the leviathan was still determined to have them as its lunch.

Well, one thing that was nice was less talking from bunny butt. He had enough dramatics from the behemoth cursing their existence and the threat of digestion. It would just be a little more, little more weight, a little more struggle and they would be okay. Reaching up for another rock to lift them, he--
"Ah--!" Before he could find purchase, Sevilin's only handhold broke away from the cliff and crumbled beneath his fingers. Without it, he fell down and all he could do was hope his fingers would find something, some grip before he doomed both of them to an early grave.

"EEK!" Without Sev's support, Lu's own fatigue was magnified. Her left arm locked in place fighting to keep its grip now that gravity weighed down on her small body completely. Her other arm chased after Sevilin's retreating body. He was her beacon. Her only hope of making it up the rest of the cliff face and he was quickly tumbling down the rocks. Right now, they both needed each other for survival. Both their fates were twined together and Lu was not about to spend an eternity in the afterlife with Sevilin.
Her right hand hooked in the only thing she could still make a grab for. Lithe fingers wrapped in his trailing blue ponytail and kept him from falling the rest of the way down. The thick locks snapped and recoiled with the force, Lu cringed at the thought of whiplash, but they did not break. Likewise, Lu's own body was held tight like an over wound spring. She grunted through gritted teeth, "Sev... Sev, please... Move your fat a**. I cannot hold you for long!"

Sevilin prayed for anything to save him, but he didn't expect what he was given. His scalp burned from the weight of himself and the big, grubby little hands fisted in his hair. "Ah--Oww, ow!" He squealed, scrambling for something to grab onto to stop the pain. "You did that on purpose!" It was the only thing that made sense! If she had been a delicate lady like she pretended to be, Lulu would have grabbed something a lot more useful!
At least it got him back on the cliff, and for that he was grateful (even if he wouldn't ever admit it). Both of his rough hands held tightly to the rocks and pulled himself up. His translucent wings beat as hard as they could to help boost his strength, bringing him closer to Lulu. One hand stretched out for her to grab, his fear dissolving the closer he gets to her.
Then that relief shattered in an instant. The shredded tongue he had eroded to save Lulu wrapped around the end of his ribbon and pulled. Whatever ground he had recovered was taken from him with one painful tug. His burning scalp was nothing compared to the beast below. It felt like his skin was being torn away from his muscles. He screamed and frantically grabbed for Lulu or anything he could find to save him from the pain.

LuLu's hand was still fisted tightly in Sevilin's hair threading them together like a makeshift lifeline. The blue tresses felt course like salt between her fingers and smelled more like the ocean than the gurgling waves beneath them. The rabbit watched Sevvie draw closer. She even shared in his moment of relief once she could make out the cherry red of his lips and the tips of his fingers reaching out for her. They could make it, together.
"SEVILIN!"
She screamed after the frei making sure to keep a firm hold on the only thing tethering them together. Her eyes glossed over in fear as the monster slithered from the water's dark depths. A low hiss spilled from its crooked fangs, each one looked as big as her. LuLu felt her chest clench and her heart seize as the monster lurched forward. The beast snapped its maw open and lunged towards Sevilin. "No." This isn't how it was supposed to end. "NO." They were going to make it out. "NO!" Together.
LuLu released her hold on Sevilin's hair. She flung her free hand outwards. All her fingers stretch out as though it would hold the creature at bay. However, the monster's silhouette grew larger as it grew nearer. LuLu could feel her small heart beating faster and faster, practically ripping itself from her chest. She was not sure if she was fearful for Sev's safety or because she would be next. Something had to be done though. The serpent was so close now. Too close. Sevilin's screams for help echoed through her head. LuLu knew that she was his only hope. Memories of fallen comrades and bloodied corpses ran through her mind. LuLu had let down so many others before.
She was determined it would not happen again.
Things inside of her twisted and gave. Sensations slid down her arm and wrist in lazy trails before the frei felt a pressure in her palm. Then a snap and surge. A viscous black fluid rocketed itself into the leviathan's eyes. The rest of the mess oozed its way down her skin until is was washed away by the sea water. The sea snake release a pained bellow. The waves sprayed upward in a fine mist as the monster trashed around. It had been temporarily blinded and released it hold on the male frei.
Now wash their chance to get away once and for all.
