Ha, either Amelia has seen him one too many times on the battlefield or she just knew how to read him by now when it came to someone he held dear. Ephraim couldn't really deny the fact that he had panic'd for a little bit, but thankfully he wasn't alone in this room with her or he'd be freaking out even more. He did as Amelia told him and set her down on one of the chairs. Ephraim pulled a chair up staying close to her for the time being until she wakes up. The young general did assure him she will be all right..but who can blame a brother who hasn't seen his twin in nearly....goodness how many years has he been in Learania..frankly he lost count. Ewan took a moment to produce a fan from his pocket and placed it on the table. He was familiar with it and to have it here just in case was a big relief.
"Ephraim how have you been?"
Much to the lancer's surprise, he turned his head just to see the sniper talking to him, not looking for a challenge, a fight, a duel whatever the heck was on his mind..but instead..just a normal chat...Gee, when was the last time they had a normal conversation that didn't lead or end up with the two of them dueling it out because of Innes's pride. He chuckled softly then leaned back on his chair. "To be honest, I didn't even remember I was part of the Host club. Most of my time have been to myself, training or running errands for Cloak." that was really it. Ephraim kinda isolated himself from the others for the time being. Did a little thinking to himself as well as a little bit of just wandering around aimlessly. God knows how long he's been doing that since he joined not only the host club but the mercenaries as well.
...What would Eirika say if she were awake? Would she be disappointed? Proud? Scold him? Whatever the case, Ephraim wasn't expecting her to just suddenly approve of his actions...especially if the him in her world was getting married to Tana. He allowed his head to fall back a bit so he was staring at the ceiling and kinda zoned out a bit so whatever Innes said to him kinda went over his head....that was...until he mentioned the fact that he was volunteered to chip in for something....THEN he threw his head forward and looked at Innes like 'wtf'. It wasn't like the lancer didn't have money but...really?
Ah, whatever. Ephraim thought as he waved a hand to the sniper, indicating that it was fine with him. "What do you plan on doing now? Go back on your training journey or stick around for a bit?" It'd be interesting to have Innes around, at least he could entertain himself as the sniper rambled on about whatever came to his mind. There hasn't been much going on as of LATE.
((Actually now that I think about it, when DOES this gathering take place? lol, also is it just me, or does anybody else see Innes's stuff upside down? >_>;; his images I mean
Edit 2: :I could have sworn I added in Ewan's fan crap wtcrap ))

Amelia couldn't help but grin as Ewan produced a fan. He was always reliable in a pinch for things like that. Her cheer turned sheepish when Ewan spoke back up to her, however, chuckling awkwardly before rubbing the back of her neck. "Aha... y-yeah. That is true..." She shrugged one shoulder. "Sorry, then. I just-- hm?" She fell silent as Ewan leaned forward and began to whisper.
"I'm not going to lie to you, I don't think Ross would be much different in either situation."
"Hehehe! Yeah, you think, right? They sure never did let him cook for the troops when we made camp for the night!" Amelia giggled, an arm around her stomach. "I guess tidy hair and clean fingernails aren't really on the agenda when you're trying to be a better warrior than your dad, huh?"
And of course Ewan continued. He always did have a way with words, didn't he? She could feel her face turning pink as she studied herself, twisting to and from to examine her uniform from every angle she could. She did like the uniform, it was comfortable with good movement and still managed to remain aesthetically pleasing. Ewan was too good at making her feel flustered; she could feel her cheeks turn pink. "You sure? It's just my work uniform... usually I've got armor on over it. It's definitely more impressive than that red breastplate back home, though!" She grinned over at Ewan and tugged him into a one-armed hug to try to hide her embarrassment, trying to subtly tug one sleeveless hem over a little further to hide the corner of the scars across her chest as she did so.
"Anyway, Ephraim," Amelia turned her attention briefly to the lancer, keeping one arm around Ewan as she did so, "What exactly have you been up to since the reconstruction hit its last phases? I haven't seen you very often around town. Busy with Cloak, or personal business, or what?"

As Eirika fainted and everyone split up into seperate groups to start talking amoungst eachother Joshua made his way to a chair near the wall. Falling into it with a sigh the swordmaster watched his friends chat with a nostalgic smile. It was nice to see everyone like this again, it reminded him of the time during the war when the group had stayed at an inn sometime after the final fight, they'd rented the whole building and had a big celebration.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Ewan and Amelia being friendly with one another, they'd all grown up now, but he remembered their first battles and how they used to stare in awe at his coin tricks and stories. "Look at you, sitting here like an old man." he thought amusedly.
It was too bad the people he really longed to see again weren't here; Gerik, Marisa... Natasha. Heck he'd even be happy to see Artur walk in, the mage owed him a favour anyways. Innes had come back but he was far too busy swooning over his bonnie lass to make time to gamble.
Joshua leaned back comfortably in his chair, looking up at the ceiling as conversation flowed around him. He had a sudden realization that he'd come with the hope another of his closest friends had arrived, it seems he was still selfish somewhere deep down, to wish that one of your friends would be snatched away from everything they knew to be end up in unfamiliar lands with unfamiliar people. Gerik would probably love it knowing him, Artur would panic, Marisa... well who knew how'd she react, Joshua bet with normal stoicism probably, and Natasha...
He sighed and banished those thoughts, he didn't want to think about Natasha right now. Besides who knew, the way Learania worked anyone of those people could walk through that door any second now. Idly as he watched everyone talking he pulled out a coin and started to walk it across his knuckles, waiting for something to happen.

He couldn't help but look and laugh and Ephraim's face when he told him he'd need money. He knew something was troubling the lancer. He couldn't exactly place it but like a lot of the problems that he had encountered today they were caused by Erika. He didn't mean it in a bad way but just as a well new people cause change. And well change begets problems. He also noticed that the two younger ones were getting close. He motioned for the two idiots that were being antisocial to come over and pull up a chair.
"I think that I'll have to stick around. I have a few reasons to want to stay close. I also want to continue my work with Cloak. I'm not exactly sure what after that. I guess I'll keep trying to find a way home. Someone had to have succeeded at some point. I'll find out how and get us all home. Even if it takes my whole life."
He didn't even have a way or even an idea on how to accomplish that. It might not even be possible. He glanced over at Erika hoping she would regain consciousness soon. It was at that point that about five men walked into the door. They walked up to him and asked,
"Where would you like us to set up?
"Over there across from the bar. You all look well equipped for this. He you go as part of you payment."
He reached into a pocket and pulled out a couple gold coins. Far more than it was worth but he was in a giving mood. He also leaned close and whispered into the man's ear.
"Oh of course sir. I'll do as you ask. Come on boys!"
As the men rambled over to a wall and started setting up a variety of instruments. He stood up and adressed the crowd. He felt that he needed to well be less like him. How better to do it then,
"Well everyone what kind of party is it if their isn't a little dancing and music. Haha let's all cut loose and enjoy ourselves. Barkeep a round on me!"

..::Eirika::..
Eirika slowly blinked her eyes open. Wasn't I just...?
"...Please tell me something strange didn't happen again..." She sat upright in her chair, smoothing out her skirts. The last thing she was doing, was... oh.
"Did I pass out?" Her face flushed again, "I'm sorry, please excuse me..." she bowed her head apologetically, and then a troupe of people blew in past her table, and her eyes widened.
"...What in the world is going on, now?" Musicians? Who arranged for that? She looked at her brother questioningly.

He turned his attention to Amelia for a moment as she asked what he's been up to. Honestly it wasn't really something he was open to talk about but after a few months...yea..maybe he was ok to talk about it...at least to Amelia, not to anybody else in this room. "I've...been here and there. It was more personal stuff than anything"
Ephraim listened to Innes talk about his plans and then...his 'surprise' came in. The lancer was a bit baffled, in fact he simply stared at them until they set things up...watched Innes get up and make an announcement, turned back forward and facepalmed. Really? He had to pick this pack of people who call themeslves musicians? Ephraim would be all right with the music if they didn't make squeaks and stumbles on every note. At that moment was when his sister awoke. He looked up at her and simply smiled. Eirika asked about the musician and who arranged for it.
...The lancer facepalmed again then pointed to the sniper.

He laughed at Ephraim's reactions to what he had done. It didn't stop him from continuing to do it. Then he saw Erika wake back up and well he knew what to do. It was frightening to wake up in a place unknown to you. He would make sure that she would have a happy memory to dwell on with all the painful ones that this world will create. It will be a big shift for her and he will help as best he can. "I guess I can take the credit for this one. I mean we all haven't gathered like this in a while. Even if we aren't all from the same timeline we all know of each other. I think we can take this as a moment to party and have fun while we can. With things always on the brink of battle we must cherish these moments of peace while we can."With that he stood up and extended his hand to the princess. "Gentleman give me something nice. Princess may I take your hand in a dance?"He looked at her eyes and even put on one of his rare smiles that showed how happy he truely was to be here with everyone he knew. The musicians played a tune that was quite good for street musicians."Come on everyone let's all dance!"

Amelia wasn't entirely sure what just happened. One minute, Innes had darted out and she was speaking amiably with Ephraim, who seemed to be private still about what had been keeping him so busy, and then the next, a small crowd of people were hurrying into the room after Innes, setting up lutes and harps and okay seriously what was going on.
Loud music? Dancing? Ale? Amelia glanced over at Eirika as Innes attempted to encourage her to get up almost immediately after reviving, and rubbed a hand against her face. No.
Nope.
"Hey! Hey! Stop the music!" Amelia shouted over the musician's playing in order to be heard, walking over to Eirika. She glanced apologetically at her before giving Innes a stern look. She kept her voice a little lower now, being closer to Eirika and not wanting to shout into anyone's face, but she certainly hadn't gone soft. "What do you think you're doing, Innes? Need I remind you Eirika just woke up after passing out, and here you are trying to get people to drink and start dancing around in this small room? I know you want us to have fun, but that's just reckless and could endanger not just Eirika, but anyone in here!" She gave him a stern stare, walking away from him to approach the musicians. Her green eyes briefly moved towards Marina, nodding her head imperceptibly from the lancer to the crowd of musicians, before turning to face them.
"I'm very sorry that your time has been wasted! But I think it's time you all left," Amelia told the musicians, face as sunny as it was just moments ago. "Thank you~!"

At least their little princess was up and about! See? Just what you'd expect when you stayed calm and rational and every didn't freak out and do something stupid! Just a calm talk between friends, a nice warm sigh directed to the sigh with this happy little smile of his, and...
Oh. There was a band.
...THERE WAS A BAND. As much as Ewan enjoyed some nice music now or then, this was kinda ridiculous! He understood that Innes had payed for their appearance before her fainting, but this was to be calm and collected! As much as he cared, the sniper never stopped to think about the ramifications of his actions! Honestly, it was a saving grace that Erika had made her way here. Innes needed someone he respected to get in his face and tell him that his headstrong actions weren't going to help anyone despite his intentions. The man was a master strategist, yes, but his people skills needed a huge tune-up.
And then it happened.
Amelia, doing the completely unexpected, suddenly got up and personal with Innes. Sure, she had enough respect not to get all up into his face, crank her neck, and waggle her finger sassily, but that stern look and harsh words were certainly something that Ewan hadn't expected. In fact...It was strangely enticing, to say the least. He certainly did not expect this kind of behavior from Amelia, that was for sure! That settled it. She was the COOLEST woman he had ever met.
Sorry sis.
"Okay okay, so that just happened. It was nice intentions coming in, but we just need to keep calm and just keep talking. Something like that could come in later, when our dear Erika is feeling better. In fact, we have to do this again sometime. In fact, I'll personally invite you wonderful musicians again when the time comes, we apologize again. At least you've been paid in coin and are free to go on your way. Stop by the pub! Have a drink! Go...play ball with your kids? I dunno, you crazy kids have fun." He waved them off, laughing before leaning in and whispering into Amelia's ear.
"You owe me a dance sometime."

Velkan was so excited! It was his first gig! The cat Laguz's tail twitched with glee and he was going to be paid! This was the first time he was going to be paid for playing music... or just paid in general! A few days ago he'd seen a poster for a band that was looking for a singer, deciding that this was a fine way of meeting new people Velkan had applied, they'd accepted him and now here he was! About to play for a bunch of fancy looking types in an inn. They'd love the music he'd play and they'd dance and have all sorts of fun!
It didn't take then long for the band to set up their instruments, and they launched into their opening song, Velkan hadn't rehearsed it very much yet but he was a fast learner when it came to music and was confidant he'd do fine. Though this was his first test run with this band, so it was nervously he raised his harmonica to his lips as it was his turn to jump in and start playing, he wondered if they'd like what he'd play for them as he took a deep breath and---
"Stop the music!" He manged out one flat cut off note, ears drooping in disappointment and eyes widening in shock as... a small blonde haired human took charge and began ordering everyone around.
She was babbling something about his music being dangerous, Velkan didn't play dangerous music! He played music from the soul, music to get people to dance, but she was the human after all and so with slumped shoulders and eyes fixated on his shoes he said, "Yes Mistress". The cat-man's eyes welled up with tears and a few fell onto the floor. "I-I'm sorry we caused you trouble Mistress."
The other young human spoke up, Velkan didn't turn to look at him, he just stood slumped staring at the ground. "My apologises Master." He said to Ewan, "We'll be going now Master."
And with a tail no longer perky and drooped ears Velkan shuffled towards the door, harmonica hung limply in his hand.

Ganon was not normally one to intrude on a private party, but to be entirely fair, he had to know it was a private party to be aware he was intruding at all.
He just saw a bunch of grumbling musicians trudging out of a bar and, interest piqued, tipped his hat to a particularly dejected laguz on the way in, his guitar strapped across his back. The enormous reptile ducked under the door, blinking, and slipped over into a corner not far from Marina, offering her a quick wave as he carefully tuned his instrument. New faces, new faces... He needed to get out more. Settling down with Aruna was nice, but it was also making him lazy, and he found himself walking about town and meeting people less often of late. Red hair, teal hair, silver hair.
He closed his eye and played a few quiet chords, then seamlessly wove them into a quiet, soothing melody, one intended to serve as a soft background to chatter. Dinner music.
And he made a mental note to speak to those musicians outside about unionizing. Not right, kickin' a bunch of working men out of the bar. He lifted his tail, offering Ewan a wave, and let his claws out to pick through a cascading chorus.

..::Eirika::..
Eirika's cheeks flushed briefly, again, before she cleared her throat and stood up.
"Well. Thank you all for your kindness and consideration," she bobbed into a quick curtsy, "but I do have a little bit of an agenda in mind." She looked around the room, hands clasped in front of her.
"I'm still not completely caught up with everything that is going on, but... I think it, perhaps, would be helpful to all of us to try to figure out, well, who goes where, in this puzzle? I mean, I think it has become clear to some of us more than others, that we all know each other, but for some of us, we... are a bit different than what we used to know," Eirika tried to piece together her words in a way that would make sense.
"So, with that, perhaps... Marina, do you think you might be able to give an explanation as to what has happened here? I only ask you because, well... you're the only person I've met that seems to know me very well, and I can't say the same about you," she fidgeted with her gloves a bit, hoping she hadn't caused Marina any distress by suddenly putting her in the spotlight.

Until now, Marina had stayed fairly quiet, even through all the chaos.
What reason did she have to speak? She didn't know most of these people from their original world. She knew of Eirika and Ephraim and even Innes, but the others? No clue. Even Amelia, had she not had the previous experience with her in Learania, would be unknown if not for that. But it was her job to see that new entries to the world were being acclimated properly, so...
Marina took a deep breath as she glanced around the room at all the expecting eyes. "Yeah, uh... none of you know who I am, do you? Besides the ones from here, I mean."
The blank stares she received in response were all the answer she needed. "Yeah, uh..." She ran a hand anxiously through her hair, her gaze wandering to Amelia's for a moment before she took another deep breath. Remember, they said you're not going to get anywhere with this if you don't talk about it. "Sorry, I know I'm coming off kind of weird. I'm from Magvel, just like you guys. I grew up in Jehanna, in a border town near Carcino. It was a dry place, but close enough that we got some of the mercantile benefits from the other side of the border too."
"You..." Marina faltered for a moment, surveying her audience once again. "You all know about the events concerning the Demon King, right?" Her gaze fell upon Eirika and Ephraim standing together. "I really can't say I know any of you personally. Less of you I actually know at all!" Her glance wandered to Amelia, who she fixated upon. "In my Magvel, my father was a powerful magician who was always being called upon for massive affairs. Because he was the only one I had, I usually ended up going with him. I got a lot of my tactical wit from him. So when things started getting kind of dark, we set out on a mission to gather information to send to you guys." She nodded at Eirika. "So that's why I know of you, but you don't know about me. And that's completely fair, because that story was about you, not me. Except..."
Marina took a long, hard breath and stared at the floor. "In my story, you guys didn't win. I saw what happened, and after dealing with the aftermath for a couple of years, I wound up here." She nodded to herself softly and looked back up. "But, hey... I've talked enough." Her voice found new exuberance. "This is a reunion, isn't it? Let's start this party!"
She hesitated for a moment. "Oh, s**t, right. Debriefing." She stood firmly and exerted a sense of authority. "Okay, so this place you're in is called Learania. It's one country of many on a greater continent, also called Learania. Weird, I know. I didn't name the place. But anyway, there's some weird temporal distortion going on, from what I understand and what I've picked up from others around here. We've got our own Fire Emblem and there seems to be a connection between it and why people seem to end up in this world from their own. And it seems to happen most often in times of extreme emotional duress. Trauma or whatever. Not always, though.
"To those of you who don't know me, my name's Marina, and I hold the title of Prime Adjutant to the King of Hawks around here. That makes me a pretty big deal, because Tibarn, said King of Hawks, is one of the highest ranking guys in this country, and I'm his number one." She jabbed a thumb in Amelia's direction. "Amelia is of the same rank as he is, and she's in charge of a lot of the administrative stuff around here. Her and Tibarn are part of this council who see over the important stuff here, and above them is a sort of monarchy. You can learn about that on your own time, though. Amelia would be more than happy to fill you in." Marina nodded in her direction. "Right?"

Amelia stayed silent as the musicians left the room, frowning slightly as she noted the dejected look on the face of a young-looking boy with white cat ears. "I-I mean, you all played very nicely, but the timing is all-- I mean..." She sighed and fell silent, watching them walk away. "Honestly, making me feel bad, I just... mmph." Had she overreacted? Maybe she had. Should--
"You owe me a dance sometime."
Oops, distracted now! Amelia's face turned bright red and she gave a sharp nod to Ewan, rubbing her hands over her cheeks and eyes to try to hide it. "A-All right," she managed to whisper back, clearing her throat and regaining her composure as soft, comforting music began to fill the room. Amelia turned to face the musician - a rather familiar face, as it was difficult to forget the eight-foot-tall eyepatch-wearing snake man - and offered a sheepish, friendly wave. Sorry, she mouthed in his direction before Eirika began to speak. Amelia immediately turned her attention away after a polite nod of her head in the hgi-val's direction, silently folding her arms under her chest.
Marina's explanation was simple enough, and it all but confirmed her own suspicions: the Door was pulling people not just from different worlds, but what seemed to be different timelines of those different worlds. Before the fall of the Demon King, a Magvel in which the Demon King rose to power, Eirika and Ephraim from seemingly-different worlds, judging by the awkward air between the two, something Amelia had never seen between them before...
Amelia gave a short nod to Marina and stood up straight, smoothing a hand over her skirts. "Yes. That's about the gist of it, put simply." She squared her shoulders, taking a small breath in. Acting authoritatively seemed to help calm her nerves, or at least to ignore them for a while. "The continent doesn't really have a name, actually. From what I've read, it used to all be one big country named Learania, and then some horrible things occurred under the reign of King Leander, and civil unrest eventually led to the country splitting into pieces, and we have roughly the borders that exist today. Give or take some area in border disputes and whatnot." Amelia cleared her throat again and glanced around at the group in front of her.
"The thing that's most important here is the Door. Marina explained it about as well as anyone could: It's some kind of temporal anomaly that seems capable of locking onto various other universes and fixing in on people to pull them from where they are to here, wherever it feels like. We don't know much for certain, but we do know a few things." Amelia cleared her throat again. This was where things could get... well, awkward.
"One, it always occurs through doors of some kind. It could be an open doorway, the opening of a tunnel, a closet door, anything. Sometimes it ends up dragging personal things along with you, and sometimes it doesn't. We've had people arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and others with all their travel gear. It just depends."
"Two, it is capable of pulling people from various timelines, even within the same world. We've had at least two people in Eyris who claim they were the master tactician of Lycian lords back in a world called Elibe. So clearly, people can come from the same world but not specifically know each other. Sometimes people know you, but not the you that you are, if that makes sense. It really just depends."
Amelia sighed, rubbing a hand against the back of her neck. "And three, it... seems very unlikely that any one of us will ever be able to get back to our world."
