It was cold. But then again, she had always imagined death to be cold. She'd heard stories of those last few living seconds, your fingers slowly growing numb... then you arms... until you were left shivering in a pool of your own blood. That's how she'd always expected it to happen, in a pool blood, her body cavity torn open, disemboweled. And she always figured it would be due to some little mistake. One little slip-up which would cost her her life.
Except this was nothing like that. This was worse, because she had done nothing wrong. Because she wasn't dying in battle, fighting the evil she despised so much, but suffocating slowly, alone, in a room which had for some inexplicable reason just decided to fill with water.
At least Robert wasn't here... the universe had granted her that comfort.
As she drifted there, allowing the water current to take her as it would, she found her thoughts meandering to her husband. She wondered, as she began to fight to hold the stale breath in her lungs, what he was doing right now. If he was missing her. If he was...
... right in front of her?
"Robert?"
Exhaling out of surprise, the intermediate Death trainee blinked as she realized the words came out intelligible. That... wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't quite sure how she was talking UNDER WATER... but she was. What was also interesting was that she found she could breathe. Which was defintely not supposed to happen.
So. Turned out she wasn't going to die.
Go figure.
Uncharacteristically elated, the silver cat actually began to purr as she watched the dog she knew to be her husband in disguise, pleased he was swimming to come get her. Curling her legs closer to her body, she watched as he drew closer, doggy-paddling, a look of love in his eyes... wait. He was swimming the wrong direction. Elation quickly turned to extreme annoyance as she realized that her husband was not, in fact, calling her dear, but some... silver... <******** tighter into a ball as she stared angrily after Robert, Petra felt her claws extend without any conscious effort, and before she knew it, she was swimming after him, and there was blood in the water.Quote: HP: 25/30 Element: Dark Faction: Hunter Location: Under dah sea~ (UNDER DAH SEA~) Darling it's better, down where it's wetter, take it from meeeee~

"Is there something wrong, my dear Candace?" He asked, noticing that she was backing away from him. Out of the corner of his eyes, he noticed another shard. Quickly, he snatched it up for great justice, though cringed when it gave off a shriek of sorts. That was.. perturbing, but he soon turned back towards the mist hunter. The attention didn't stay for long as he realized his dog was under attack. By Petra. Hmph. He hoped the blood wouldn't be attracting sharks. The last thing they needed were sharks trying to get all the shards. No. He needed these. To save the goddamn world. Robert yowled as claws dug into his backside, stopping him from his victory lap towards Dr. H. He turned around and snarled at the culprit, but the moment he saw Petra's face the snarled turned into a confused whimper, and his muzzle twitched as her sniffed her ********, Pet." He grumbled uncomfortably. "That hurt." His little canine rear was bleeding, and now it was hurting too much. He looked over at Dr. H longingly, and sighed. "Do you think he'll still want me if I'm bleeding?" Quote: Robert Morris Faction: Deus Ex Machina Element: Dark HP: 18/30 Location: THE VOID Acquired: Toxic Key! My dear Candace. My dear Candace. That voice didn't match. It didn't. It just. It. Didn't. Match. It didn't give her chills or make her heart race, or her head swim, or her breath catch. It didn't give her goosebumps to be near him. And H didn't call her dear Candace. Sweet Candy, my plum, my dear, my dear Candy. H never called her 'dear Candace', right? And why should he change now he had no reason to change now none whatsoever this was a trick all of it was a lie. "N..nothing's...nothing's wrong.." She replied quietly as she continued to back away. And then 'the Doctor' grabbed a fragment. No you don't that's my task stop that it's mine. MINE!Her eyes widened. "You should stop that." She said with a slight hiss, tail swishing behind her. "You don't know what you're doing. They're mine. Stop touching them." The hiss grew louder and on the verge of more threatening. Quote: Candace, Mist HunterHP: 10/30 Element: Dark

She legitimately did not know how to respond to that.
So instead, she gave him a furious look, laced with confusion and ... yes, pain, her feelings just a little hurt by the completely illogical love for some minipe--
... wait, was that ******** Deryk? She was gonna kill that ******** was supposed to hurt," she replied in a flat tone, eyes narrowing.

The good thing was that Eisheth finally started getting used to elnin body. In fact, it was even convenient in a weird way. If that was just a dream, she managed to get some fun of it, and at least, the alchemist wasn't looking forward awakening anymore. This new zone definitely provided some new challenge. Eisheth noticed a fragment hidden between some plant-like coral; as careful as only the Famine alchemist can be, she still disturbed them. It was just a second or so, when she realized she breathed in the strange toxin. And then it grew bonkers once again: was it the same thing for those affected by insanity? Was it some sort of minipet insanity virus? Strange voices, feeling of rage, hatred and betrayal was glowing like a fire inside her. RRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Was it really her voice? The elnin looked around seeking the familiar minipets... actually, that little bloot looked quite familiar... ramenli Sorry guyz, had to work all the day, and everything was already finished when I came back XP Yayoi Sorry guyz, had to work all the day, and everything was already finished when I came back XP Eisheth Name: Eisheth HP: 30/30 Faction: Horsemen Element: Dark Element ATK: 1d6 (DMG AND LIFE STEAL) - Unused Status effect: BETRAYED.. "What? I am the god damn silver fox. The chosen one. Get the fragments. Save the goddamn world. Maybe blow up some islands along the way," Deryk frowned. In any case, Petra wouldn't get a chance to kill him. A stampeding herd of h-foxfires did that for her. At least he reformed a little ways off, albeit disoriented and feeling... not quite whole. s**t. Did he lose his ascension powers?! Wait no. He can still breathe. Underwater. He was all good. "Yeah, well, congratulations." Robert mumbled, rubbing his butt. "Why are you trying to hurt me? Are you just mad that I'm in love with Dr. H now, or did something else happen?" And then something else happened. When Deryk dissipated, Robert did his best impression of Vader, and fell in agony. "NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" That was it. H wouldn't speak like that. This wasn't H."You're an impostor!" She snarled, teeth bared. This wasn't H at all! He was some... cheap imitation! And she fell for it! Stupud, stupid, stupid! "I'll kill y--" Suddenly foxfires. Adorable foxfires with white fur, gold branch markings and black hoods. "..What...what the ******** just happened..."In the corner of her eye a fragment flickered, its glittery shine catching her attention. Candace gasped and dove down to grab it only. She did it. She got one. Yessss! She squealed and hugged it tight, nuzzling her cheek against it. Hers. Her fragment. The H impostor couldn't have it. Those she was looking for seemed to not be around, were they thrown around after they have been sucked in this zone? Some minipets nearby were trying for fragments themselves, she could hear their buzz. Suddenly a fragment! However, when the elnin tried to reach it, the fragment itself sparkled and electrocuted her, Eisheth nearly lost her consciousness. When she woke up blinking the fragment have already been dissipated. The two of them hardly had any time to figure out what was happening in that final room before they were both swept away, caught up in a current that led to Jack-knew-where. Thackery clung frantically to Dexxy, a string of her candy jewelry clamped between his tiny puppy teeth. Getting separated here probably would not be in their best interests. When it all 'stopped,' if one could even consider this stopping, they were in some strange world that looked neither Halloween nor Christmas. It was nothing he'd ever really seen before, not even in his most twisted nightmares, and it sent chills down his fluffy little spine. They were both silent as they surveyed their surroundings. Neither of them showed any indication of even wanting to speak until something shimmered nearby. Dexxy glanced over to him, brows furrowed. "Should we go see what it is, sir? I know you're really brave and that nothing could go wrong! Yeah! But we should also be careful." She went through no less than five expression changes in her short little dialogue, ending with a quirked little frown. "Wellll, it could be a key, so. Probably." He tried to hide his excitement as he approached the glimmering thing, reaching out to touch it. The thing didn't budge, but it was immediately obvious that it was definitely not a key. Was it another one of those shard things? He reached for it again, a little more forceful this time. The minipet in which the shard was embedded didn't seem to like that. It wailed its terrible wail and lunged towards him, baring its teeth. Horrified, Thackery reeled backward, colliding with Dexxy, and the three of them all went tumbling over in a tangled scuffle. The minipet's teeth were difficult to avoid, and though he kicked at it with his back feet to keep it at a distance, its teeth grazed his paws more than once. He had to get that shard out, though; that was probably what was making the poor thing so upset! Minipets were inherently good, he knew it! With one final yank, he pulled it free, emerging victorious from the pile. They floated in separate directions, thankfully: the pet was still squealing and trying its best to take a good chunk out of him. Thackery tucked the shard under his collar and looked pointedly at Dexxy. "Don't touch it." Jason was tumbling head over heels in the torrent of water, gasping for air when he was able to force his head above water, but was soon sucked downwards into it's icy depths. He held his breath, held it for as long as he could until his lungs couldn't bear it any longer. He had expected to feel pain when he gulped water, but instead it felt...natural. He wasn't dying, he was breathing underwater as if he was aqua-man. Okay, very weird, but he didn't care he wasn't dead. That was the best thing. Writing himself, his gazed across the black emptiness, the breathtaking site of the white marbled fortress a stark contrast to the eeriness of black water. He began to swim towards it, but no matter how much he paddled his short legs, he didn't make any progress. But he did stumble across a fragment, though when he grabbed onto it he was sure he heard it shriek... "Of course I'm in love with H." Robert sighed in exasperation. "Pet, come on. He's brilliant. He manages to get under even Caelius' skin. And do you see the amount of tail he gets? He's perfect." Robert sounded ridiculous. No, he sounded Disney-princess ridiculous. He was twittering, for gods sake. Of course, 'Dr. H' was still dead, so he wasn't twittering very hard. But dem eyelashes were definitely fluttering. Oddly enough, he still felt the connection with Petra that he should have - which conflicted him enough to want her around, despite his adoration for the good doctor. "Come on." He chided, giving her a pursed lipped smirk. "Can you really blame me?" Quote: Robert Morris Faction: Deus Ex Machina Element: Dark HP: 18/30 Location: THE VOID Acquired: Toxic Key!
