Friends? Oh what a silly notion! But Neva did stop to consider the sweet possibilites being this mare's "friend" would have. The thought of not only physically harming this mare, but also destroying her trust and her emotional state brought a sadistic pleasure to the batwalker. "I...I would like to be friends. B..b..but please no two-leggers. I could never trust them again."
It wasn't that she couldn't trust them, she just didn't want them to ruin her plans for her fun. She would walk with this mare awhile, and then strike when the time was right. No need to have two-leggers showing the truth of her charade before she was ready.

Threnah was so thrilled that she had made a new friend, she trotted in a little happy circle, spinning. Her smile beamed. "All right, no two-leggers it is." However, now that she had her friend, she wasn't sure what to do with her. But perhaps... her gaze went over to the water just yards from where they stood. "What do you think? Maybe a swim? The water should feel good on your..." She looked over the wounds covering Neva, trying not to draw too much attention to them, "cuts."

Neva followed the mare's gaze as she looked at the water. Hm, she could use the water to her advantage. Injure her, and then try to push her into deeper waters where she might not be able to swim. Mmm, interesting idea. She would have to keep that in mind. For now though, it was time to keep building this trusting relationship so she could further make this mare fall far.
"W..water would be nice I think. I do feel so terribly sore. Do you really think the water will help?" Oooh! This faking innocent stuff made her stomach roll over, but she kept it down, wanting to fool this mare completely.

Threnah nodded and trotted over to the edge of the lake. She took a few small steps until her hooves were covered with the cool, clear water. She looked up at the sun for a moment, then back over her shoulder at Neva. She smiled encouragingly, "The sun is nice and hot today, lucky for us! The water is warm. I think you'll enjoy it." Wanting to simply slide right into the inviting pool, she turned again to look out over the water and watch the sun sparkle over its surface. She stood still and waited for Neva, however, not wanting to leave her new friend behind.
