Name: Kakyo Kaido
Nickname: The Crow's Feather, Boss Kaido
Age: 27
Appearance:
Oshu Crew: Kaido's Vultures
Love Interest: Kotori Kaido (wife)
Personality: Driven by revenge disguised as justice against the oppression of the Lin Kuei Syndicate, he wrestles with whether or not he is a good person fighting for the city or just another bad guy trying to make sure worse guys suffer as they deserve. His tether to the world is his beloved wife Kotori, whom he met and married shortly after his recovery from a past incident that left him nearly dead. Their relationship and interactions are extremely sweet and loving, but his fear of getting her involved or hurt lead to his keeping some things from her...a small, but unavoidable pall that makes their storybook romance just a shade away from perfect.
Bio: Not so very long ago, Kakyo Kaido was the leader of a small band of rogues in the city who sought to carve out a piece of Oshu for themselves. As the Lin Kuei began to slowly lose their grip on territory and the security on their shipments became more and more lax as the latter days of the reign of Liu Bei Lin Kuei came upon them, many of the smaller gangs and crews in the city decided that the time was ripe to push back the much-more tame Syndicate that had been dominating the underworld for so long. And like not so many others, it was this mistake...of believing the Lin Kuei to have become without teeth...which lead to disaster for Kakyo Kaido and his crew.
Having been stealing shipments of alcohol from the family for some time, the Lin Kuei at last responded by dispatching their two strongest, most trustworthy young men to ensure that this type of situation never occurred again...Jian Lin Kuei and Sai Sakurazaka. The initial disbelief at the Lin Kuei's decision to only send two men to handle their entire crew immediately melted away into fear and horror at the devastation just one of them could wreak...that Sai's work could be considered the lighter touch shocked the leader to his core. All of his men had been soundly beaten...their lives on the brink of ending, hanging on the word of the boy with the violet hair and his white-haired companion...there was on posturing or negotiation, only fear...for his friends, for his crew, for the mistake they had foolishly made. All that Kakyo could do was promise with all of his heart to swear their loyalty to the Lin Kuei, swear that their mistake had cleared their minds, and that they saw the error...that he would do anything to see his men escape alive.
And Sai had agreed...to his great relief.
...Jian, however, did not. He could only watch in horror as what remained of his battered gang was destroyed before his eyes, a disgust he saw reflected in the crimson eye of his original attacker...but the time to stop him had come and gone. And before he knew it, Kakyo felt the cold sting of the blade of Jian Lin Kuei digging between his ribs. Bleeding, he could only watch the slaughter...his life fading, he could only faintly hear the loud disagreement between the two attackers...
He floated between life and death for some time, the only survivor of the massacre...and when he awoke the city had changed, the Lin Kuei's power had grown. His own crew was nothing...his holdings, nothing, only that which he had earned and saved remained...which was substantial but nothing could bring back what had been lost. It all stung him beyond words...and in the end, nothing could heal the wounds that had been made upon his heart. But one person tried...
...One person could still make him feel human, make him feel alive...make him believe he was more than a living totem of guilt for those who were lost, and that was the woman he would make his wife, Kotori Kaido. His one true love...the most important person in the world to him. Together, they built a life...and as they brought home money he formed his plan for revenge, drew in like-minded individuals to join in the crusade that he knew he would have to undertake before he could ever know true peace. Even with Kotori to soothe his mind, it could never truly heal...not until he had returned the favor to that man, that white-haired monster that had killed when mercy would have been more than enough...who had betrayed when his friend had shown benevolence.
...The rumors in the city finally gave them the courage, the will to move openly...Sai Sakurazaka, alive? Titus Martillo, leaving the city? The Steel-Point Alchemist still living in Oshu? If even one of them could be convinced to join their growing gang and fight against the Syndicate...they would have a figurehead, a leader...someone with the power to make a real difference. If only...but then, even if they were to join him, would they agree that his quest had not gone too far already? Could his mind and his soul be saved, preserved for the one who loves him, before everything is lost?

Items Owned:
- Weapon Equip
- Armor Equip
- Accessory Equip
--------------------
Black Blood Potion - Drink this potion in battle in order to increase attack damage 25% against demons, immortals, and undead things. May drink (and stack this boost) three times during any single battle, but drinking a fourth will result in a temporary, severe boost in power...then unavoidable death. This is because the Potion is a Toxic concoction only able to be consumed by a certain Order and those with an incredibly high poison tolerance. However even to the resistant, there is no complete immunity...and consuming too much at any given time will cross that threshold. Refill after battle using Alcohol.
