I think I have already demonstrated that in my explanation on why the Chuunin exams should not be in our near future. I know how much everyone wants to participate in such an exam, not only to become a Chuunin but because it allows them to participate in a very memorable arc straight from the original timeline as well as the chance to compete against other villages. However for the reasons I believe I have stated quite clearly, I am entirely against said exams until the guild is thriving. Admittedly I expected a lot more of a backlash on the topic, but I wasn't afraid to speak up on it while expecting to be disliked. for doing so.
I would make sure my reasoning for unpopular decisions is clear, and certainly listen to the criticism because I may have chosen wrong. Not to mention, I would never try to push something onto the guild without at least getting the crew on my side first.
For example the economy system. You handled that perfectly. You posted the proposal, then if I remember right several people including myself spoke against it. You answered our concerns, occasionally making necessary changes to the system. You helped make it clear why it was necessary, why it would be good for the guild, and when you got enough support you released it for the public to be annoyed with. If one must release an unpopular change to the guild this is the way it must be done.
