Tilting his head, Deryk grinned but then gave Mark a bit of an odd look. "No. Don't have any on me. Shouldn't be hard to go fetch some though. No."After all, he had done a quick beer run for Caelius (who was really Robert at the time) once. That was still.. a very bizarre day, now that he recalled it. And with this, he had to wonder if the division leads and assistants often asked trainees to go run and grab beer for them. Odd. "Er. Specific type you want?"

"Well," Mark was more than eager to supply exact locations. "The Mist common room has several very nice packs of Stella Artois, you know, the good stuff." The Death assistant crossed his arms and tried to look extremely important.
"This is your first Jedi task, young Jedi minion, you must go into the Mist common rooms, and fetch me a shrubbery- I mean a beer. And I mean the whole pack. And like, can you get some of those awesome Doritos they have too cuz I'm totally starved. And maybe like some Cheezies too, and oh yeah, those tiny peanut packets that they keep is like, the best, they totally stole them from an airline or something. A first class airline." Blade Kuroda - DERYK MUST NOW SNEAK INTO THE MIST COMMON ROOM. Well he is a Death and dressed like an assassin so idk, maybe stealth is in his blood. - To enter the common room, he needs to roll LESS THAN 11 DETECTION POINTS IN FOUR STEPS. If he FAILS then he comes back empty handed sad - Roll 1d4. He needs to roll this four times, one for each step to sneak into the common room. - Step 1: The door. The door has a somewhat complex lock that is just a series of three numerical sequences. The easiest way to sneak past the door is to wait for a Mist to leave and then run in. Roll 1d4. The higher the roll, the WORSE you do. - Step 2: The fridge. Inside is a fridge where you will find the beer. You need to grab a six-pack but avoid the several infrared laser detection devices they have inside the fridge. Roll 1d4. The higher the roll, the WORSE you do. - Step 3: The Doritos and Cheezies. The snacks are on the highest shelf in the kitchen. You need to avoid being heard as you crawl to the top counter and pull out several snacks. Roll 1d4. The higher the roll, the WORSE you do. - Step 4: Finally, peanuts are located in one of the lower counters, but for some reason, are also guarded by infrared lasers and a security camera that peers in the exact direction the peanuts are located. Roll 1d4. The higher the roll, the WORSE you do/ more chance of you getting detected. - If you are BUSTED, simply rp out getting busted and return to Mark empty handed sad - If successful, same results but with items!

Now, these exact instructions were not quite what Deryk had in mind. The Mist lounge? He hadn't quite step foot in there before, though he knew where it was. How many mist hunters were in right now, he had to wonder? But well... he had to give this a shot. If he wanted to learn things, that was.
"Yes, sir! Right away. Will be back soon with everything.. hopefully.. yes."
Nodding, he hurried on out of the labs.
In the back of his mind, he was wondering what he had just gotten himself into. Tooley just giggled at that thought and provided no useful insight. Coming up to the lounge, he slowed his pace and found the door. Which was locked. It would take too long for him to figure out the combo right now. He didn't want to look like he was trying to break in and he had no clue how long he would have before someone came by to see him poking around at the combination.
Taking a deep breath, he tried a few times, but then heard something on the other side. Quickly, he scrambled away, then sort of stumble in as a Mist left the lounge. It was a very sloppy move. He ended up tripping as he rushed on inside.
This wasn't going to go well.
He just knew this.

In any case, he was in now. Deryk took a moment to figure out where he needed to go. He had never been in here before and all. At least the fridge wasn't too hard to find. Opening it up, he took in a deep breath as he stared at the six pack.
Infrared sensors. Man the Mists had a lot of security for their booze. After looking over the receivers and stuff to try and figure out where things were exactly, he made the swipe.
No alarms or anything were triggered. That was a good start.

Deryk had the booze in hand now, and so it was time to get the chips. Looking through the shelves and whatnot, he stared in dismay as it was in the highest shelf. Out of his reach.
...
In the back of his mind, he wondered how the hell Lance reached stuff up there. He was a mist right?
Setting down the booze, he bit his bottom lip while climbing up onto the counter as carefully as he could. He probably should have been a little more careful as he ended up slipping and crashing right off the counter. Wincing, he quickly got back up and started to try again, more quickly this time.
And well.
He made the doritos and cheezits fall.
The hunter sighed.

Collecting everything he had so far, Deryk took a moment to try and calm himself down. He just needed one more thing. Just one more thing. He could do this. Looking around, he soon located the peanuts. Which... had even more security than the booze. Why? He had no clue. Apparently Mist hunters really liked their nuts. These better be some really amazing nuts. In any case, the trainee went on to try and make the snatch, but he wasn't nearly as successful in this as he was with the beer. This time, flags were raised, and one hunter came wandering by to see what the hell was going on. Upon spying the... Death Spy, he chased him out, forcing Deryk to leave without anything. Outside now, he groaned as he realized he had ******** up pretty badly in there. Feeling a little disheartened, he just sort of made his way back to the life labs where Mark had last been. "Reporting for duty sir. M-Mission failed," he said, sounding rather dejected. Detection: 11

Mark gave Deryk the Leonardo DiCaprio eye squint. "Are you sure you didn't just eat those snacks all yourself. I'm onto you, minus points for you, my padawan, don't make me regret taking you under my wing, man."
He sighed, leaning back on a very worn lab chair. It was questionable as to whether or not the chair was scruffier or the assistant themselves. Looking entirely put out, the Death assistant flopped one side of the head on the communal desk, next to the keyboard, and began pushing their mouse around slowly, clicking on things occasionally. He ignored Deryk in favour of staring at whatever was on the screen.

"I didn't! I almost had everything! But... the nuts... The nuts were too well guarded. Got caught. Took everything else I had managed to snag," Deryk said, sounding dejected. Watching Mark as he was kind of going on about the computer business in a dead-like manner, the intermediate shifted and thought about it some. "I-I'm sorry I failed... I'll try not to let it happen again. M-maybe I can get something for you somewhere e-else?"

"Well, almost doesn't get me nuts now, doesn't it?" Mark gave Deryk a dismissive wave. "That will be all, young padawan, I have no further use for you."
About to key in a password for a login screen that suspiciously did not say his name on it, Mark paused. "Unless..... "

"Unless...?" Deryk repeated, shifting in place as he awaited to hear what Mark had to say.
