As the last of the bones had fallen, Levi heard the voice of the wrath demon, bounding through the debris to see him trapped underneath a ribcage. C'mon now. Up, boil. It was nothing as far as she saw at first. A giant ribcage by his comparison had fallen but he was just fine. The yellow eyes of the tatzelwurm watched him, following the course of the ribs in connection to him. This was when Levi realized; the ribs had pierced West's arm down. If the ghoul's breathing wasn't loud enough in her natural form, the growl that sounded was.

One ssssec, boil. Brace yersssself. Snaking closer to West's rib tent, Levi's tail came around, the front of her staying low and grounded as the white tendril coiled around the spine part of the bone cage, pulling it away from the earth and from West. Carefully placing it down again so no one else got impaled, the tatzelwurm loomed over the wrath demon, curling the tail around him on the floor until he arose on his own. For ease, Levi placed her skull pin back on, reverting back to her student form, holding a hand out to West. Lemme see it. Your arm. Let me see your arm. It wouldn't have been the first time she'd treated him.

Even as the healing symbols danced beneath him, West knew that things were not as good as they could have been. Something felt... off about his arm, and for once, he hoped it was only a surface injury. If he had to face another of those giant bone things with a broken limb, it would... well, it would suck.

When Levi told him to brace himself, he did, gritting his teeth as she yanked the ribcage free and helped him to his feet. He knew the wound was bleeding, the cavern's restorative energies coming too early to patch his arm while he was still pinned, but there was nothing else wrong as far as he could tell.

"'M fine," he assured her. Never mind the holes in my coat. He rolled his shoulders to stretch them out, peeking at the outside of his arm to make sure there wasn't any visible blood.

---

Mmur straightened a bit at the sight of the one who had led them here. The student seemed unchanged from how he had appeared at the start of their journey, but the horseman knew little of what the boil's kind were meant to look like in the first place. He could have been on death's door, for all Mmur knew.

The soldier wiggled his toes as a rune sparked beneath his feet. He hadn't really been injured much at all, but the light refreshed him anyway. He noticed the ones who had dissipated were returning. That was a very good thing. While he was far from comfortable in a group, there was truth to the thought that there was safety in numbers.

He was more than a little intrigued by the carvings that were already being examined by a nearby winged monster. Mmur sidled up behind Ulmuka, holding himself back from reaching out to touch the strange diagram.

"No problem," Jericho said with a nod to his draconic brethren, "How are you holding up by the way?"

He couldn't see Aymet's face, but he could only imagine that this was a little rough for the guy. The cracked phylactery didn't seem like a particularly good sign and all. Watching the dracolich, he stared down as he had unearthed another skeleton that was in the area.

"..An old friend of yours?" he asked quietly.

The blue glow had done most of the work. Taking the arm and grasping it in both hands, Levi turned and examined the healing work of the room. I can'see so now. Good. Any blood was left simply staining his clothes; the wounds were closed from what the tatzel ghoul could tell short of ripping off his sleeve to have a more precise opinion. West was a strong boil. Levi had no doubts he could bear any leftover pain and be ready for the next possible round.

Releasing the wrath demon, Levi looked around, watching her peers but still speaking to the demon boil. Somethin' important might be in 'ere. After all, there was a beast sort of guarding this area. Let's check'round too. Looking straight at West for confirmed approval of this, the tatzel made her way over to a pile of shiny armor and weaponry likely left by fallen foes, inspecting them. Maybe they found somethin' 're were fixin' ta git somethin' they weren't supposed'ta?

Tess opened her eyes. Her entire body was stiff, and ached, the usual discomforts she'd become accustomed to whenever she dissipated. Her first concern, however, was how much time had passed since she'd been reduced to FEAR particles. She sat up to the sound of Sheridan calling her name, and weakly managed to call out to the dragon boil, "O-over here."

Aymet? Who was Aymet? Poke had not met the Dracolich before, but she startled for a moment at the sight of another dragon-skeleton with glowing eyes. Except, no one seemed to be alarmed. Was this a ally? He seemed to be. He seemed to be digging around in the remains of the chimera, and pulled out a shiny chain. What the chain was, however, she had no idea.

Though it didn't seem anyone else was interested in the treasure aspect. Oh well, it just meant more for her.

"Oh." Leo attempted to look like she'd known that all along, but knew that she was probably failing.

She took his cue, looking around and finding a skeleton nearby that seemed to still have some of it's weaponry. Awesome, maybe there was something to salvage. The dead didn't need it, right? "Oh, well, I just heard someone needed help. And that there'd be adventure." She paused, momentarily. "And let's face it, who can resist adventure?" She rummaged around the corpse, feeling a bit wrong to be doing this, but still.. if they were going to come up against something like the chimaera from earlier again, she'd rather be a bit more prepared this time.

"No, not a Reaper - a Monster, Mare to be more precise. You're a Reaper?" She hadn't really given much thought to what he'd be. He looked about as humanoid as she did, but then again, many different species did.

"Tess..."

Sheridan sighed in relief, taking a moment to thank the cosmos before he rushed to her side, kneeling next to her and reaching out to take her hand. His free hand reached out to gently rest against her cheek, though the touch may have been just as much to reassure himself that she was there as it was to reassure her that he was with her.

There was so much he wanted to say, how he'd been worried, no, he was afraid, afraid she would not come back. What if her FEAR--no, don't think about it. She was there now, she had come back, that was what mattered.

"Are you okay? Can you stand?"

In the end it was all he could bear to say, one of them afraid for her was enough.

His hand still on hers, he turned to gaze around the cavern, searching for anything that may have caught his eye, maybe a shine, a spark, a weapon, or a tool, maybe there was something useful here.

He didn't even try to fight her when she looked over his injuries, nodding in confirmation of Levi's assessment. Any residual pain was minimal, and anyway, pain proved you were still alive. West began poking at a skeleton and its armor soon after the tatzel did, but his efforts were a great deal less enthusiastic.

"Could be," he agreed. "'R maybe they were jus' pokin' around in 'ere an' couldn't handle th' giant killin' machine defendin' its territory." The boil doubted that anyone who stumbled across this cave by accident had done so with more than a trivial number of companions. Apparently, that was suicide. Of course, they were here on purpose, and presumably the kid they had followed had a reason to come and a reason for them to accompany him. Like using them all as crazed-glowing-bone-thing distractions.

"Yer okay, right?" he added under his breath.

The thing was dead, and Frost was whole. While healed he might have been, he still would have preferred to go curl up in a nice snowbank to recoup. Less healing, but more comfort. Shaking himself off the wolfos padded over to the pumpkins, where one banshee was currently cooing at them.

"Siobhan, they might not be babies, they are possibly just used for reforming as we did." Sitting down, his paws scratched as the cold floor before his head turned. That one... smelled tasty. Rare meat. Dangerous to hunt but very tasty. "We are.. safe for now. The creature is gone." Red eyes blinked once, twice, "..... you smell delicious." WHOOPS, the ghost shook his head out. Eating students was not allowed. Even if they smelled good or not.

Looking away from the tasty smelling student, King looked to the one who'd led the expedition. "Aymet, have you found what you seek yet?"

The ghoul gratefully leaned into the touch, her own hand resting atop his as she gave a faint sigh of relief of her own. "Y-yeah, I believe I can..." she says, hesitantly testing the strength of her feet. Legs didn't seem too keen on separating with her upper half, even the headstrong half of her knew this place was nothing to take lightly. Not after that last encounter.

"I-if it's alright with you, can I just lean on you for a little while longer?" joining Sheridan in searching the cavern.

He gave Tess a reassuring smile as he helped her to her feet, then keeping an arm wrapped around her for support.

"You can lean on me as long as you need to."

Now, tomorrow, a week from frightday, whenever she needed him, he would be there. And he would never let her fall, not so long as he himself stood.

"Let's hope there is no repeat of that."

Perhaps to that end, it would be best to leave this cavern and move down one of the paths. Perhaps the chimera was defeated, but was it truly defeated? What was to say it wouldn't reanimate and attack all over again? Sheridan wasn't sure he wanted to stay here long enough to find out.

It seemed that everybody was in one piece so far. That was rather nice, though now it was a time for snooping....and Sura was not actually a curious individual by nature. A sort of boring way to be, perhaps, but she seemed content to settle in and watch everybody else as they looked about.

Perhaps she'd offer a shoulder or a boost to anybody who wanted to snoop at anything too high for them. She'd make an excellent ladder, after all.

"Just like my pop," He shrugged, still digging but growing frustrated. "Heard some cats were moseying for some sorta' caper in a Dragon territory." He picked up a skull and shook it, hoping something besides dust or a potato would fall out. Alas. The skull was tossed over his shoulder, "You'd think there'd be heaps of treasure laying around. In good repair. Guess they guard it a bit better'n just a big ol' boney bozo. Don't know from nothin' if anyone's got agendas besides that."

Priorities, Enzo had them.

Translating his words was a bit of a task for Leo. Well, the first bit was clear enough, but cats, moseying? She was fairly certain he was describing their venture, just in fancy words. So far so good. "Oh yeah, me too. I don't actually know the boil we're going for or anything, but it seemed like fun, you know?"

She carefully lifted the skeleton's arm, trying to see if there was anything of value underneath it. It'd probably have been easier if the thing wasn't still wearing its clothes, in surprisingly good condition, considering. "Hmm yeah, I guess you'd have expected something like that chimaera to be guarding something a bit more valuable than this. Maybe further in?" She nodded towards the tunnels, forgetting that he might not be looking at her. "I think Aymet does, though. Have an agenda besides treasure-looting, that is."
