Notes from Caffe: Alright before i approve. First is a point you brought up in thread. There is a school in Salem so she wouldn't be at hogwarts if she still lives in the US... That said... There are ways around this. If you can figure one out and run with it, living in America isn't an automatic nono. But i need to see it here before it can be approved ^^ Also just mild notes of correction. The mirror doesn't show he future... you got the part of that it shows her greatest desire right... just not the future part. ^^ And im curious to know what is her deepest fear that she would see via the boggart?

Her grandfather Herbert told her of Hogwarts the summer she turned 9, each summer she and her siblilings spent it in England. The tales he told her enthralled her to no end and after she stumbled into her father's study, saw the talking paper, she was told of her families true heritage. Her grandparents want her to carry on tradition and go to Hogwarts as everyone in their family line has, I am unsure of how to twist it to where she receives the invitation but I am thinking at her maternal grandparents home. Greatest fear is losing her sister, I added that in and fixed the Mirror. Hope this is right.

PERSONALITY
General: Zarabeth is a very intelligent, well mannered, personable and overall happy young girl. She gets along with just about everyone, enjoys helping those who need it especially with academics, enjoys being outside in the fresh air and loves playing with her cat. You become her friend you have a friend for life, she is very loyal.

Her parents could not afford to spoil her as they wished, but they spoiled her with love. She believes herself to be the richest of all at Hogwarts due to this. Her parents love is boundless, something she knows she can always count on.



Habits: Sits outside during the day to read, once it turns cold she prefers to be next to a warm fire. Constantly fiddles with her glasses, they drive her nuts. Chews on her writing instrument when thinking and may tap it instead in a steady rhythm.
Hobbies: Reading, writing in her journal. She prefers to be alone and enjoy her solitude hence her hobbies are the ones that require herself and nothing more.
Likes: Books, she can never read enough. Journals you will rarely see her without hers. Cats, sweet treats and the color red.
Dislikes: Sour things, rats, polka dots, snow, mean, sneaky and untrustworthy people and most of all she can not stand a liar.

Relationship with Family: Zarabeth is the apple of her parents eye. She is the oldest, then Charity Rose, Michal and Lydia. She adores her sibilings especially Charity. She is really close to her, and misses her dreadfully already being apart from her.


Her parents are wonderful, sweet and loving to her. She never goes without what she needs though her wants can sometimes be forgotten. Money is not a high issue but with 4 children it can be difficult to give the extra they ask for. Zarabeth does not mind, she has their love and the love of her sibilings she has all she can ever ask for.

HISTORY
General History:

Zarabeth's family is a very close knit one, being born in the Southern United States of America. Her father was transferred to this country before she was born though she was not sure why, his job was one he has kept secret and she never delved into his personal life that was being disrespectful. If he wanted her or her siblings to know he would tell them. Though he has always said "The day shall come when we return to England until then we will enjoy our life here" and that was all he would say on the subject.

Zarabeth and her siblilings would spend the summers with her Grandparents in England. She loved the time there, so different from the living in the Unites States. Her grandfather Herbert would tell her tales of magical beings that enthralled her. This is how she learned of Hogwarts the summer she turned 9. He explained what it was and how it was different from the school in Salem, USA. The family line has always went to Hogwarts and he wanted her to uphold the tradition, which she readily agreed.

Zarabeth's life is full of love, learning and family. That is all she knows and she adores it that way. Being raised in the South has given her a outlook she may not have had growing up in England one she treasures.

She was told of her family's wizardry when she was 8 years old when she was in a rush to talk to her father and ran into his study and saw a piece of paper literally floating in the air like a gush of wind was supporting it. Shocking her the paper actually spoke! She stood there stunned and that is when the family's heritage was revealed to her. Each one of her sibilings will be told at the same age to keep the tradition, so far only her younger sister Charity knows of their heritage though her brother Michal will be turning 8 this year so he will also be told.


MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Zarabeth stumbled into the great hall behind all the other first year's and was amazed at her surroundings. It was astounding for as far as she could see was tables that had banners floating above them denoting their respective houses. Off to the sides of the walls, were chairs. The person who led them inside waved a hand towards them and said everyone take a seat. When your name is called, stand and make your way to the diases and be seated to await the sorting hat.

Swallowing hard she hoped she would end up in any house by Slytherin. The mere mention of the name sent shivers up and down her spine, she was terrifed for some unknown reason. Sitting quickly, she patiently awaited her turn. So far everyone that has went before her was either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. She took this a a sign that Slytherin may be the next house called. Closing her eyes she silently prayed her name was not called when she heard Zarabeth Grace Chessington, stand and approach she quickly opened her eyes stood and made her way to the diases. Sitting herself on the stool she tried in vain to slow her breathing down. Thoughts of Slytherin and being around those type of students made her fear spike and her heartbeat speed up. The hat was suddenly placed on her head and it spoke in a soft tone My.. what a scared young lady you are....your heart my dear is it beating so fast I can barely sense your feelings...you must relax. Allow your mind to clear do not think of your fears, think of something that will calm you. She swallowed and thought of her sister Charity Rose and her swinging on a old swing her father had made for them laughing and talking about Hogwarts. Their hopes and dreams of which house they would be chosen to, how well they would do and how proud their parents would be.

My choice for you is...Gryffindor! You will do well in this house young one. and with that Zarabeth breathed deeply, stood and made her way over to the Gryffindor table and sat down. Looking up she saw a female Professor smile warmly at her hence she returned one of her own. She felt like she had finally come home.



Boggart: These creatures terrify Zarabeth, she never ever wants to encounter one. Her deepest fear manifested in front of her she would not be able to handle it. Her deepest fear is losing her sister, Charity. That terrifies her more than any creature in the magical world, she would face anything, any obstacle to ensure her sister's safety.

Mirror of Erised: Zarabeth dreamed of the chance to stand in front of the Mirror to see if her most cherished hope would be granted. Her most cherished hope was she would make her family proud of her during her time at Hogwarts and that is what she wished to see.

Greatest Treasure: Her family's love. It's not something she can carry in her hands or place in a box, but its locked away in her heart.

Manner of Dress: Zarabeth can be a bit well nerdy in her appearance. She does not care for fashion, never has. She is comfortable in what she likes and thats all there is to it. She prefers long skirts but at Hogwarts, the uniform is not as long as she would prefer.
