Willow paused her ears perked, "Ohhhh...." She looked at Roch for a moment and then back to Bruno who was talking about a Mermaid? Roch seemed to go back into a dark mood again.
Her ears twitched as she looked a little confused. Following as he tugged her into the tool shop. "You don't have to be so rough, I would've followed." She said with a half smile on her face.
"You don't have to be so gloomy looking either." She waved a hand over his head, "I see a raincloud forming Roch, I didn't bring an umbrella." She was trying to cheer him up a bit.
She was looking at him, "Where'd you get the card?" She had a little cash in her pocket just in case she wanted to go do something a bit later. However, as she glanced around Cranky Joe's she had a feeling there might not be anything left for eye-scream later...

"One generous benefactor to the arts," Roch drawled with evil amusement. "I call him Gramps," he added. Dammit, Bruno just HAD to bring up Amphi, didn't he? Wasn't Roch having enough trouble as it was??
"I'm fine," he said. "I'll get over it. We're going to need a set of screw drivers, a hammer, a think of wood nails--" he listed, letting go of her hand and heading into the shop as if he actually knew what he was doing. "I know we said slushie machine, but I'm thinking we should start somewhere more basic. Like how we put stuff together here," he told her over his shoulder.

Willow's tail flickered as her eyes narrowed, "You're not fine when you look like you ate a sour booberry." She added, "But if you insist...."
She hummed, "So Gramp's isn't going to mind?" Her eyes was watching him, "Wouldn't it have been easier to ask him?" Since obviously Vegas thought the card was missing, there might have been a little lack of communication there.
She nodded listening as he listed off things. "Right... instead of just going here, have fun?" Well it did make sense. Willow started looking to locate where these items were. Picking up a basket to carry stuff in and a hammer, "This one okay? Looks like it's on sale." She pointed to the paper on the box.

"Yeah, I figure we can at least be decent about it," Roch said, nodding at the hammer and going through the sales rack. He came out with a thing of screwdrivers all tied to one piece of cardboard. "This will work, too. And these mixed nuts and bolts-- oh, sweet, got an allan wrench," he said, picking up what looked sort of like a pocket knife--but not really. It had several... stick like metal pieces that folded in and out. He kept adding all these things to her basket.

Willow watched as he picked through the stuff, occasionally picking up things too. She'd inspect them for a moment before asking him if they could use this or that.
The basket was probably getting a bit heavy with sale rack stuff. "So we also need wood nails... and what else?" She was looking at the allan wrench with a certain amount of curiosity....

"Couplea sanding pads," Roch said, heading further into the store to get both things. "So... what was it like? Was your horseman as crazy as the ghoul they fixed me up with?" He hadn't seemed to be, but images can lie, and Roch had been wandering around a lot that night.

Willow nodded as she followed, "Right sanding pads."
She paused, "Nawh Kiwi wasn't that bad. I occasionally got dragged into really large groups. Muka spotted me once and then his date thought I couldn't hear." There was a small sigh.
"I'd met Kiwi before though, him and this Faiyum guy had potions and were giving them out to students. I ended up floating. So he wasn't super crazy. Just, a little.... hm.... different. He showed me a dance that they use to do after.... hunting...... humans." She whispered the last two words.
"I ended up dancing with Freya at one point and then 'tripping' into her and making sure she got glittered since I found out she was the one that put the bomb in the crystal ball that exploded on me and a few others." Willow smiled, "Freya ended up screaming about glitter cooties."
"I won a prize too for guessing who the murderer was in the murder mystery game."

"And a helmet, if they got one," Roch added as he reached the woodworking area, grabbing the nails and the sanding blocks. "Although I might have to go in town for that one," he commented as he looked around. "But at least your date didn't go off on you for no reason. That's good. And nice job with Freya. I got hit with a ton of those jackin' things," he said, snorting. Then he stopped, cuz he had found the tool belts.

Willow watched as Roch found the tool belts. "At least all yours came off?" She asked sighing.
She looked around and picked up a hard hat, "They have hats." She held it up for Roch to see, knowing that's not what he meant but still. They were hard hats, it might be a good idea if things got dangerous?
"Yeah he was okay. Someone was handing out protection charms, while I was in the murder mystery room. I thought that was cricket's gig." She added as she noticed a nice purple looking tool belt and a black one judging how they looked with her outfit.

"I still have a handful from that class," Roch admitted. "My jackin' minipet came out screwed up. Oh well, her problem now. But we don't need hardhats unless there's somethin' that can fall on your head, far as I figure. I don't see that happening with the stage. Plus, it ain't stupid enough looking for me to want to screw up my hair for," he added, picking out a rather overly studded black tool belt. "This'll work!" he decided, tossing it into the basket.
"Let's go check out," he added, heading for the front desk. His gramps was gonna get on his a** for this one, he thought cheerfully.

Willow's tail twitched, "Oh, mine grew up perfectly fine." She said blinking a bit, "Actually.... I sorta kept him."
She nodded when he said they didn't need hardhats, right then. Watching him pick a black studded tool belt, it was pretty fancy. She took up the purple one, figuring it'd go with most of her outfits.
"Is there an Eye-scream place around? I have some... cash." Her tail twitched as she followed him, "I mean if you want eye-scream after we get everything."

Roch jerked, then looked at her, a slightly vulnerable expression on his face that turned to a sigh. "You um, ain't gettin' a crush on me, right?" he asked, just to make sure. "Cuz I already got problems with a ghoul." Notice, he didn't say he was taken, just that he had problems. That would probably explain the dark expressions he'd been showing during this shopping trip.

Willow's brow rose as Roch suddenly asked if she had a crush on him. "Oh sweet Sally, no. I just want Eye-scream, and I got the seeds to pay for it." She answered looking almost a little puzzled and little worried.
Since when was getting eye-scream a 'date' thing. She looked at the reaper curiously, "While getting together might be a way to learn about other races around here. I'm certainly not into you that way, no offense."
Her ears flicked as she looked towards the door. "Can't a ghoul buy a bummed out Boil some eye-scream without it meaning anything more than a pick me up? You certainly look like you need something to brighten your day, and I ain't old enough to be buying Cider."

He broke into a grin. "Hell yeah, she can," he said, putting the basket on the checkout table (when had he taken that?) and pulling out the card he'd nabbed from his granddad. Strangely enough, they let him sign for it without a word. "C'mon, let's go get the wood," he told her, carrying the bags out and stopping off at his bike to unload them into his saddlebags before heading into the wood mill.
It was extremely noisy, and smelt like woodchips.

Well that seemed to fix his gloomy mood for now. Her tail flickered and paused, wait.... how'd he get the basket? Willow blinked and then shrugged before following him helping him put stuff into the saddlebags and following him into....
Willow's ears pinned against her head as the noise of the mill reached them. "Oi, it's loud in here." She sorta wished she'd known that prior to walking in, she might've gotten some ear plugs or muffs or something.
Eventually, she resorted to just covering her ears with her hands. Following Roch and being mindful of where she stepped, granted the woodchip smell wasn't all that bad.
