Please apply (via post in this thread) in the following format: Signing up before the first lesson is posted will earn you two house points!
While I will still accept new students all summer term, they will still need sign up (via a post in this thread) before turning in any homework. Late-comers, however, will miss out on the opportunity to win the two freebie house points for signing up early. So sign up now!
Also, as you can see, I'm still setting up the classroom a bit, so please bare with me as I move the furniture around. I just wanted to let you guys sign up as soon as possible before the other tents open up and you lose intrest in little ole' me and my creatures.

Now that we have more than one student, let's have fun with a little discussion. Since I wasn't planning on posting the first lesson till the game got underway and it doesn't look like the class is going to be bulging with students to earn points. Let's have an extra credit fun, shall we? This is from the last time I taught Care of Magical Creatures.
I'll give 1 extra credit point for each question answered.

I have a snowy owl named Eira, winter in Welsh. She carries all my mail. I also have a black raven named Lenore ("The Raven", anyone? xD). My parents gave her to me when I told them I was sorted into Ravenclaw. Little do they know that Ravenclaw's mascot is an eagle!
2. Your favorite Magical animal and why it's your favorite.
I love owls. They're fascinating birds and very useful.
3. ((this one's a bit more of randomness just for me))What is your favorite Gaia item that you own? If there an item you don't own that you want more than any other? What is it?
I really like Compass of Seidh for the eyes and Sainte Ciel for the red hair. I wish I had Sweetheart ring because I play zOMG a lot, but I'm too lazy to save up for it.

1. Your Magical pet, if you have one. (you may include his name or background if you like) I have a cat named Cairo. He is a 5 year old grey and tan feline with a lot of spunk. (He likes to get into anything he can...)
2. Your favorite Magical animal and why it's your favorite. My favorite would be the Phoenix. It is an extremely loyal creature. I find them fascinating and would love to learn more about them! wink

At the moment I'm quite fond of my little Yeti friend. I really would love to have Rajkumari Velvetine or Madame Gypsy but then again I'm prety indescisive and add to my wish list entirely too often 3nodding

Thank you to both Amanda and Echo for their extra credit. To everyone else: I'll be awarding points for this extra credit assignment up until I post the first lesson. So, be sure to tell your friends that they essentially have a chance to earn a rather easy 5 house points just for signing up and answering 3 little questions.
Also, I hope you'll all notice that the grade book is up!!

Now, if the game doesn't get started by... let's say the 21st of July, then I'll be posting the first lesson regardless of whether the game has started. This is because I want those early arrivals who are patiently waiting for team-mates to have something to do other than skulk around the player's tents. So, once again, if we don't have enough players to start by the 21st, then I'm going ahead to give you all something fun to do in the mean-time.

I have a pet screech owl named Calypso. He’s a great flier, loves to be out and about. This makes it very difficult to get him back in a cage. emotion_omnomnom I got him at Diagon Alley 3 years ago.

I think phoenixes are my favourite creature. They are very mysterious and I’d like to learn more about them, especially about their past.

My favourite Gaia item I own would have to be something Potter related of course… I think my favourite is Owlpocalypse. Not directly related to HP, but it has really cool items, all owl themed! Also I’d really like to own Sorcerer’s School, but it’s really expensive.

All four of my lovely students! I am happy to announce that lesson 1 is up and on the first page!
Hopefully we can get some more players in the qudditch game so we can start the game soon.
After all, we are learning about the mascots for a reason, aren't we?
