Rabbits? Margerie tilted her head to one side with a raised eyebrow. She didn't remember having rabbits. With a twitch of her tail she moved to look at what the Doctor was seeing. Her heart stopped for a moment and she could swear up and down that she felt the blood drain from her head. Her design had been destroyed. Hours of hard work ruined by an entrance to a burrow. She opened her mouth to say something but all that came out was a high-pitched wheezing sound.

She stared up at him wide-eyed as he describe monstrous rabbits the size of a horse. Whether it was shock over what he was saying or the shock of having her art ruined she was uncertain. Either way she was in shock. She dazedly looked between the hole and the stallion for a while until he asked for her opinion on the rabbits. Margerie slowly back to her senses in time to fully process what the Doctor was saying about relocating them.

"No. No don't." She said suddenly finding her voice even though her tongue still felt very much like a stone in her mouth. She swallowed and cleared her throat then spoke only once she felt more normal. "That's not necessary." She started nudging the stones away from the uplifted dirt and into a pile. "They can stay. It's not as though I have any more claim to the land than they do...besides...that design was old anyway." She choked on her words slightly as she brought up her design. It was an older design but there was still something sad about seeing someone else undo her work.

Margerie swallowed again before continuing on, "We can just...add them to the stones we brought from the river and make something new...maybe moons..." She paused and thought over what she had just said. She was rambling almost as badly as he did. He was rubbing off on her.

"Moons sound like a splendid idea! I know a bit about constallatons and the heavens if you would like to add those in also?" The stars and other resident of the skies was something the Doctor was forever interested in and it struck a chord. He was about to ramble more when he noticed the expression on her face. Glancing back and forth between the old design and her forlorn, shocked look he suddenly knelt down, placing his face close to hers. "Now now, don't you worry. It is not the end of the world though I am sorry I did not get to see your design in it's full glory. Maybe we can use this opportunity as an advantage! You now have a nice little friend who might even be grateful to help you out with bringing rocks to your garden. I am sure when he realized what happened he would be sorry too." Standing back up he looked around at the pattern. The fresh enterance to the warren reminded him of what the two-leggers had called a galaxy, he had seen picture of one in a book. The two-leggers he had traveled with had many such books filled with odd squiggles and markings and plenty of pictures of star maps and their meanings. He was sure there was even more information in those blocks of paper but couldn't figure out how to get the tomes to talk to him.

With a grin he brightened up. "Geranimo!" He took a few steps back and tilted his head. "A scene of the nigh sky! We can use the coloured stones as the sky and the white crystals you already have here as the stars and use the warren hole as the dark part of a crescent moon!" He glanced over, sure that she would like the idea, hoping that she would be swept up in the excitement and not feel quite so bad that her old work had been broken.

Margerie's breath caught in her throat and she had to physically fight of the impulse to leap backwards when the Doctor came in close. Somewhere along the way she had grown accustomed to talking with the stallion but the sudden reminder of their difference in size was not easy to push aside. The only thing that kept her from running was that she was still, very clearly, dealing with the same stallion. This did not stop her from going completely tense but she was able to at least listen to what he said attentively.

"I'm...not sure I'll ever see him." She said as he straightened up. She hoped he stayed that way, it was much easier to deal with the large horses when they weren't so close. "But if I do...I just hope he likes the rocks." She laughed a little only to jump backwards at his exclamation. She had no idea what a 'Geronimo' was but she liked his idea. It was completely different from what she was used to.

"Alright, the sky it is!" She said the wisps at her feet flickering and moving faster than ever. "Could you help me get the river rocks over here? It will be easier to work that way."

The doctor grinned widly, "Well of course! I shall have the pile over here in a jiffy!" He started moving the rocks one by one to the desgnated area, chatting in between stones. "You know, the last time I saw an artist at work it was marvelous!" He grabbed another rock, pausing in his chatter as he moved to hte newly growing pile. "They took these cans that held coloured liquid, paint I think it was, and then threw them over this wall that had been placed there on purpose." A few more stones were relocated to their new temporary home. "I liked the splashes of colour but the shapes did not like anything I had seen before. Still, it was quite an experiance." About half the pile had been moved over by then.

"Did you know there are two-leggers who also make stone gardens?" The large stallion rolled one of the larger rocks over, letting it rest by the pile. "Facinating people, they believe that storms come from butterfly wings!" He paused for a moment to catch his breath. "Kinda makes you wonder how some of them think... Though it would have to be a very big butterfly."

Initially Margerie helped the Doctor relocate stones listening quietly to his stories as they worked. She had heard of paint before. The humans used it on some of their soquili painting hoops around their eyes or placing hand prints on their rumps. A few of her clients had such markings on them. She had never heard of, or seen, a human throwing the paint though, at least not for any reason. She gawked at the Doctor as he revealed this bit of information before murmuring, "Imagine that." and picking up another stone.

She looked at him curiously as he mentioned that humans worked with rocks like she did. She dropped her stone on the pile and smiled. "I didn't know but it only makes sense. This sort of work is very calming." As he caught his breath she went over and picked up one stone and carried it back while kicking the another. She settled the stones and went back for more speaking on the way. "Perhaps it's a spirit, Doctor. Then it wouldn't have to be very big at all. Spirits are able to do miraculous things you know." She picked up another river rock and brought it back to the steadily growing pile.

"For instance, they gave my kind these." She lifted a leg to display the wisps steadily swirling about. "We don't know what they do or even what they are made from but there they are. Strange and wonderful."

He paused in his work to peer down at Margerie's ankles curiously. "Hmmmm... Spirits you say?" That was the one thing he never connected with. While others accepted the spirits and other beings of the soul as truth, the Doctor always found himself a little sceptical. Not that he faulted people who did, whatever that got them through the hard times was a good thing, however, he just could not rely upon blind faith. "It is said that the Spirits have been credited with many things. Who is to say it isn't a spirit of the butterfly who creates the storms that blow across the plain. And I do believe," He looked again at the whisps around the ankles. They are quite becoming nd fit you splendidly!" He smiled warmly before glancing at his hooves and realizing in the passage of time they had moved all the stones.

"Well! Now for the fun part! I would be delighted to watch you work and if you should need help, feel free to ask." He was interested to se her technique, obseving closely. "Do you usually start with the main elments first or just work from one side? What helps you pick out each stone? Is it intuition or maybe the artists eye?" As if remembeing he should be observing the Doctor finally shut up, leaving the glade quiet for once.

"Well, there are a lot of different spirits that you can give credit to." She replied casually. Her entire herd had believed in a variety of spirits. It was awfully hard not to when there were so many things they couldn't explain even more so because they were things pertaining to themselves. She smiled at the Doctor and thanked him for the compliment before setting her foot back on the ground.

He wanted to watch her work? That seemed rather boring to her. It was altogether a much more pleasant activity when you were taking part of it. She wouldn't stop him if that was what he wanted. It was likely that she would have told him that he was welcome to join in if he ever got tired of just watching but once again she was having trouble finding time to get a word in. Margerie was beginning to grow more accustomed to this, however, so she just smiled and waited for him to stop.

"For something like this, main elements first. Otherwise I start on the inside and work out and around...intuitively." She smiled at him and started nudging the pile of stones so that they spread out more. "You can join in whenever you feel like it if you get bored or just want to. I don't mind." Then, with a flick of her plumed tail, she picked up a white stone and placed it off to one side of the rabbit burrow. Then she selected another and another placing each just so and before long the shape of the crescent moon was finished. All of her movements were precise and practiced. After the moon she started laying out smaller, lightly colored rocks to make stars, all the while losing herself in her work.
