Yave was able to sigh as he wiped her brow. She sighed, thankfully, her eyes squinting as she moved the bishop another space.
"I am far too busy with the store...I would like a lover--perhaps---and a big family but...I don;t think its in my stars." she looked dreamy eyed, not having to move her pawns around for the moment.

Aires gave a nod and smiles, "Yes just as I said everyone is so busy these days." he gave a nod, "Well it is not in everyone's stars to find someone. But I do hope that they shall smile fondly on you one day miss Yave and grant you the large family. Maybe when you find a lover it or have your first couple of foals they can help you with your shop then you will have more free time to help create your larger family." Smiling at her he moved to look at the board thinking over his move for a minute.
He then moved a knight and took out one of her pawns. "I do think in a certain way we are all able to change our fate."

Yave looked distressed as her pawn was taken. The board seemed distant for a moment and she moved without really thinking this time so as to focus on her answer.
"You know--I hope so too. A change of fate could be helpful... Some more little ones around here would liven things up, too!" She muttered to herself about children but dismissed the bit about a lover... "Lovers complicate children. They make it hard for someone as independent as myself to function. "

Aries raised a brow and gave a bit of a laugh, "Oh is that so? Well then it would seem that all you really need to look for in a stallion is proper genes and just simply use him as a donor. that way you could still get all your children without the complication of the lover getting in the way. More Mearh I have noticed are being more open with foals without marriage first. So I am sure you will be able to stay independent and yet still have your large family."
He watched her move and gave a bit of a nod moving another piece, though this time he did not capture anything. "Well I do say I look forward to coming back here some day and seeing just how large a family you have managed to create."

"You make me sound like some kind of hoarder of kinder!' she laughed and patted her knee with a giggle simmering down to move another piece, her not playing as aggressively as before either.
Yave let her hands fall into her lap, straightening her folded skirt.
"I would like a help-mate just to start...and perhaps the kids would like to take over for me one day--one out of twelve maybe?" she pondered the odds that someone would want to be beside her, like the families of old who always passed down their trades. Her age was a different one; teens were to go out on their own and to find their own path, else be stuck with parents learning a job they hate; had no passion for more like...She sighed, wishing in the stars Elen would swoop down bringing a child she could pass on the treat business to, but it was unlikely and her gaze returned to the table and game at hand.
"You know---I might do that...its not like putting an Ad int he local gazette though---" she giggled at the thought of putting an add for a baby-donor in the paper... and how the neighbors would react! this made her smile again as she pondered her next move.

Aries joined in her giggle with a rich strong laugh of his own. "Oh no not a hoarder of children. After all they will all grow up soon enough." He smiled at her glad that she found her bright smile again. He had been momentarily worried that she was going to remain in what ever worried their conversation had been going.
He gave a nod after moving a bit more aggressive a move to test her defenses in the game. "So a help mate like a best friend who would still give you the freedom but also give you the donations. It seems fair enough to want that. After all you are a very independent mare who should not be tied down." He smiled and sat back to allow her to move again, "Twelve is a very good start, though I think maybe fourteen would be a bit more appropriate number to have. Though maybe an odd number would be better." he smiled moving an hand up to his lip as he thought about it. "I am sure out of the twelve you would have at the very least one or two that would wish to take over for you."
He smirked and leaned forward his silver mane cascading about him, "It would not be the strangest add I have seen! I think it could work. And if you were worried of what others might say you could always put the add under a different name. Though I don't see why other should judge so much you wishing for a simple non complicated donor. The world is changing and things are not as strict as it used to be."

Yave could not help but laugh---It was true, the world changed, there was such a difference in generations it almost made Yave sad--For her parents were good to her, she was fortunate enough to want the simple things....A family and a home and a decent job. By many measures she was a good mare and worthy of such. A hard worker...
She pondered these traits in a male and was smiling all the while, a small mischievous smile which slid into a smirk as she countered his move. It was a defensive move, but a decent one and showed she was not giving up, just not as aggressive as she had been playing. She was truly enjoying herself now.
"That is crazy enough to work!" she laughed, her hands on the table resting folded over one another, her braids frayed ever so much and blwoing int he light breeze.

Aries was just as much impressed with the look she had on her face as she thought of what she would hope and watch in a male to sire her foals as he was with her move. He could not help bit applause her move. "Well done miss Yave!" He was a rather fine move. He was glad to see this little challenge and he knew that it was not dumb luck. She was rather quick to learn and she did seem to have a bit of hidden skill. What a prefect partner for the little game.
"Yes indeed I think that it would work without a hitch. Then that way you wont have to worry about him sticking around if you don't want him too. Well there is no reason to rush into it just yet. You still have time to work out what you would like the add to say and a good name to use."

Yave nearly blushed when he applauded her, the sign that she was doing well from anyone but her parents was a bit of a shock and she was all of a sudden glad she had played chess with her father and grandfather when she was a youngling.
"I know--" she thought hard a moment, not sure if she was concentrating on the game or the name to use and made a move to capture the last of the pawns on the table, as he had already taken hers.
"I am not very good at naming--Guess I should fix that before I try to have any foals huh? Big families need good names, solid names, names that mean each foal is an individual, not some hand-me-down name or one letter difference..." she nodded, thinking how many foals she wanted exactly...

Aries smiled and watched her, "Your very attractive when you blush like that miss Yave." He said and looked back down to watch the last of his pawns being taken out. He pursed his lips for a moment wail he thought and moved his bishop forward.
"Well you could always keep him around long enough to help you name a foal. Though sadly you never know if the child shall grow up to follow the name given. I think it is best to go with what you first feel and hope for the best." He said softly and nods, "Well you would have the entire pregnancy to think of a good name so if the foal kicks a lot and moves within you then maybe giving it a strong active name would be good. Or if the foal is calm and sleep a lot within you maybe a gentle name would be best."
He leaned back and laughed softly, "The only reason I was named Aries was not because I am one to fight all the time or that I have a fiery personality it is that my mother had read a book some where that had a symbol in it that resembled the mark across my nose and it was called Aries." he grinned at her. "So maybe you won't find the perfect name until you see you foals for the first time."

It excited Yave to see the bishop move and she almost instinctively moved in response to it. Her grandfather loved that move so---Oh... she blushed a little milder at the compliment, not sure how to take words after the rush of heat to her cheeks.
"Th-thank you." she muttered a little, quieter than she had been moments ago. Her thoughts were now surfacing on her face, the ideas he spoke of on how to name...She just was more confused than ever! Her head swam in thought and she leaned back contemplatively thumping her fingers ont he back of her folded hands now in her lap.
"I suppose your right...Will depend on the male," she nodded, deciding she would wait until she saw them to name them unless of course a name came in a dream or a premonition.
Yave could, of course, have a naming ritual done at a fortune teller...but she did not want that to be the way that her children remembered learning who they were and she shook her head to dismiss the notion.

Aries watches her sudden shifting in moves. It was so strange to see so much passing over her face. She was fairly good at keeping a large chunk of it hidden but he could see that even more and more were going threw her mind. He bit in inside of his lower lip to keep from laughing a bit as his focus turned more to her than to the game.
"Yes you might be inspired by the male who answers the add and that might help you figure out the name...though I guess you don't even need to know the males name if you just need his donation. And I am sure that there are ways now a days that you wont even need to be intimate with him." he paused for a moment then waved a hand in his face, "Though I am sure that would not be something to tell the foals when they grow older...your father and I never did bed each other I had not even met him really. Not very nice story to tell them. Though not ever foal as a happy start to their life." He sighed looking down at the board as if in memory of his own past.
He then reached over to move a piece again, "Well miss Yave if you beat me in this game I could always be a donor to for family. Since you already can have as much pie as you like." He said softly with a laugh. "It would make an interesting story don't you think? "I met your father and we had a very challenging game, he lost to me and so as my price I got you." He smiled at her and gave a wink. "I am kidding of course miss Yave." he said warmly not wanting to offend his host.

Yave had hardly returned to the game herself as she watched his hand move the piece and in response she moved another. Shortly thereafter she did recognize the error but tried not to let it show on her face.
"That would be an awkward tale---I would want them to hear something interesting about their father--how to find him if they had questions at least..." she debated how good an idea it would be for the foals not to have a strong father figure about the shop, but dismissed this notion as well.
He had offered...what?
Her face turned a deep shade of crimson, almost darker than her dress which she fiddled with between her fingers. She had never bedded anyone ! The things she knew well were food industry, shop keeping and cooking....Mating was not even on the top 100 things she knew about. She perhaps knew more about spoons than mates.
His smile made her relax a bit and she tried to quickly dismiss the blush, but she did not turn him down. At least she would know the male was smart; no idiot and of even temperament, not bad qualities...Realizing she was sizing him up like he was market meats, she blushed again.

Aries eyes watched her piece and he could see just how easily he could win the game now. Though in a way now that he had mentioned a prize to her if she won he found himself almost hoping she would. As tempting as it was to win a free slice a pie he did wonder if she might take him up on his not only in jest offer. He made his next move as if not having watched her opening and exposed his queen in two places.
"Of course you would want them to be able to get a hold of the father just incase they had any questions. It would only be natural. And if you and he were on good terms even better for the foals." He could tell even without looking up that she was flushed and flustered. He could not help but smile a bit. She was really showing her age now and he could not help but find it adorable. He was unaware that the mare before him, as wanting as foals as she was, had never bedded another yet. "I do hope that my friendly offer was not that displeasing miss Yave. I did not mean of offend." He said finally looking up at her. He had meant it in all sincerity though of course he had given them both an out on it by saying it was a joke. There was nothing wrong with a strong mare wishing to have a large family, with or with out a stallion in the mix.

Yave could not help but take the opening, glad he did not see, or chose not to see, her error. She quickly moved to capture his queen, she was only a few moves away...
"Yes---having him there would be helpful, but I have such a support system he would not need to feel obligated unless it was just to the children..."
Did he want me to win? She was not sure he was serious about the offer, but his sincere expression gave her pause to truly contemplate the idea in her mind of minds.
"You know...I don't think I would mind, Mr Aries," she spoke formally, so as not to offend, in her southern drawl of a voice, it had a curl to ti which had not before been heard, and it surprised her as much as it would him.
