Doctor Kempe looked well pleased, though Rene looked less so, especially with this Fillin touching his face. Had one of his colleagues such as Pontius done so, it would have merely been a gesture between brothers, but he strongly suspected that from this strange Plague it was merely pure cheek. He was not about to be the first to step back though, so he stood there, allowing the indignity to stand with him until Miss Pac thankfully shooed Fillin off. He adjusted his sleeves, looking rather offended, but as he was the Counselor's Plague, or near enough to in his mind, he refrained from saying anything.

"Well, that's wonderful!" enthused Amory, quite oblivious to the exchange that had passed. "How does eight in the morning sound to you? I have a lecture at nine which you are more than welcome to sit in on if you're interested, but an hour should be plenty to be started with. If you need a later appointment, that's perfectly understandable, however." The look on Amory's face corroborated his statement, the look on Rene's face did not. However much Rene might have wanted to gripe though, Amory was still boss, so he nodded to the other lavender stunteds that had appeared beside him, one of whom wandered over to Shati.

"He will be waiting for you at the gate of the city to guide you to lodgings if you need them upon your return, as well as to show you to the Counselor's office at the appointed hour. If you have any message to make beforehand, he can make use of the messenger system that the Counselor has in place to inform me with due speed." Regaining some of his charm and enthusiasm now that the inevitable meeting had been scheduled, Rene added, "And never fear, Miss Pac! If there's any small ingredient or remedy you cannot obtain at your farmstead, we stunteds will strive to seek it for you in the city."
