Lyric noticed that he was still holding the branch for her. She swallowed a bite and said around the rest of her apple, "Oh, you can have the next one. Thank you." She waited to eat more of her apple until he had gotten one down for himself.

Heath smiled, and let the branch rise up before selecting an apple, plucking it gently before taking a bite, giving the aquatic mare a shy smile. He just wanted to make sure she was taken care of- wasn't that what Gentlemen did?

Lyric noticed how cute he was when he smiled at her, and she blushed and smiled back. When she did a bit of apple fell out of her mouth. This was the second time in the same day she'd dropped her breakfast. She was so embarrassed she blushed again and turned her face away. Despite of being embarrassed, she was able to laugh at herself, and she did so, saying, "This normally doesn't happen, I promise."

Heath cocked his head, before his smile widened, the warhorse gently offering of his apple. He didn't mind really-- she was cute!

Heath smiled, eyes twingling as if the male wanted to say 'you're welcome' and he nodded, finishing himself before smiling again. She was pleasant company, and it esed his loneliness, just a bit.

Lyric stood in silence for a moment, wondering what it was she should do next. She didn't want to leave this new stallion that she had met; he was nice, and pleasant company, and...she liked him. The world was a better place when you had someone to share it with, even if only for a day perhaps. She decided she had better take the chance and get to know him a little bit better.
"Heath," she began. "Where do you live?" Starting with the basics seemed like a good idea.

Heath thought, before taking some grass in his mouth, sweet grasses found near his home, and he put them by her hooves, rolling as if to indicate a field. Perhaps it was clear? A field was a start, and then he pawed the water, nodding.

Lyric tilted her head, a little confused, but trying to understand.
"You live near water? Or perhaps...if we follow this river, it will lead to your home?" Of course her mind jumped to living near water, it was the only way to live in her mind. She still wasn't sure about the grass part though.
"This grass...grows where you live too?" She asked. "You can't be very far from here then?"
She realized that communicating with Heath was kind of fun. Like a guessing game. She liked it very much.

"I got it right?" Lyric exclaimed. She beamed as well. "I guess I AM pretty good," she chuckled. "Do you live that way," she indicated with her head downstream, and then the other direction, upstream, "or that way? I live that way."

Heath perked, nosing upstream a bit, then pranced as if to indicate a long way, excited. Yes, this was good!

Lyric beamed again. "You live the same direction as me! Should we walk upstream?" She had thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast, and now perhaps it was time for a walk.

Heath nodded, moving next to her and motioning, as if offering to pace her, much like humans holding hands, as he'd seen two-leggers wont to do, and he offered a gentle smile. She was playful, and kind; a walk would be lovely!

Lyric smiled and walked beside him. It was a nice day outside, and Lyric thought about commenting on the weather, but that seemed such a silly, and very 'on the surface' kind of thing.
As they walked, Lyric kept glancing at Heath, wanting to know more about him. She saw scars on his face and side that she hadn't noticed at first. He was a very strong looking warhorse, it was possible that he could have gotten them in some sort of battle.
"If you don't mind me asking," she bagan, "how did you get those scars?" She hoped that this wasn't too personal of a question to ask on their first meeting. Sometimes physical scars also came with emotional scars, but she hoped that wasn't the case. Too late now though, the question was already out of her mouth. She smiled apologetically, just in case. She liked him, so she didn't want to offend him.
