"I know I do and trust me, if I thought she was going to go all ******** psycho, I'd have had you right there at my back. But this was the ******** girl who before wouldn't say boo to a goose. I thought the island was safe, I kind of know better now. "
"I'll stick close to you and Jordan." Even if it was an imposition, it was necessary. "Not just like, for safety's sake either, but I need to figure out what the ******** makes everyone so touchy."

"Not if everyone's gonna attack you the moment they find out you can't fight back. It's just...shitty."
Harrison shrugged wearily, but finally looked over at him. "I dunno. I don't get it either."

"I'd attack someone who couldn't fight back. Or at least mock them relentlessly, s**t would be funny. I guess I just assume everyone else thinks like me."
He gave Harrison a toothy smile. "Mibbey we could make it one of those like..detective-y things. Like why screaming women throw themselves at Jerry's feet."

"An investigative matter," Harrison said with inflated grave importance."Why the rest of the island can't see that you are a completely charming b*****d. ...The other one was concluded. Glasses, is the answer to that one." He regarded Rep contemplatively, tired and bloody but still him. His mouth twitched in a smile. "Maybe we oughta get you some."

The brightening of his mood was hard to miss as Harrison replied, worried reassurance quickly replaced by an almost predatory delight. The fact he was weak, covered in blood and possibly going to be left with another reminder of how he messed up was rendered irrelevant. What mattered was that there was a sense of normalcy in the world again.
"Glasses. Hmm. " He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Well they work for Caelius." he admitted.
"But me? I'd just look like a speccy ginger nerd I think. I bet the shock would make them ******** more receptive at the very least."

"Heh. Alright, granted Caelius has got some style." Harrison hadn't thought glasses did anything for him, but now that Rep had mentioned it...
"Depends on who it's for. Pretty sure Jerry and Sasha are a thing, so for her, you'd want the horn-rimmed nerdy as hell s**t." He smiled slyly, "And for Jordan, who you've got to do some making up to, he likes the professional-type ones."

He couldn't help but look sceptical at the idea of himself in glasses. Even sunglasses tended to look ridiculous on him, a fact not helped by the scar on his face. Anything that drew attention to his nose he was immediately wary of.
"Cael pulls it off because he's got like those delicate features and s**t. And I guess the stupid horn rimmed ones work for Jerry because he's a giant nerd."
He scratched his chin, being careful not to touch the bandage on his neck as he did do.
"I don't think they make glasses for ******** badasses." he said, thoughtfully.
"And because of like that, really huge gap in the market, I don't think Jordan would be so much interested in me in glasses as he would be rolling around in hysterics at how ridiculous I looked."

"Dunno, something with thick black frames, maybe." That was tough, right? "Couple more piercings."
He snickered, and added, hushed, "Simon wears 'em, and he's a badass. Or maybe he's more of a tightass. Dunno if you're allowed to be all different types of a**."

"Maybe. Draw attention to like the glasses rather than my ******** nose. Or maybe I'd just end up looking like I was wearing those ******** joke glasses." he sighed rolling his eyes. "More piercings though, thaaaat I'd like. Doubt I could afford any more though on my ******** obliterated wages after the bunks. Shame."
Harrison got a very bright and intent look for his comment about Simon, as if he'd just done something very interesting indeed. They were daring words for a surveillance heavy island. He approved and couldn't help but tug the edge of his mouth up in a smirk. " Yeah. Tightass isn't the same as badass. And I'm definitely the latter."

There was still some resentment from that morning. Even it was petty. Harrison normally wouldn't take snipes at the bosses, and definitely not in front of them, but Simon had been set on taking his own snipes, and they were a lot less harmless than tightass.
"Need to grow out a mustache for that," Harrison said, "Nothing wrong with your nose either." It didn't hurt to pretend that all their problems could be solved by glasses. "You got a lot of apologies, so I bet we can figure it out without compromising your being a badass." Harrison grinned. "And I can fund some investigating, if more piercing's on the list. Depends on where we're taking our leave at."

"Maybe. And at least I'm never growing a moustache, I might like guys but I'm just not that gay. So I guess I'm safe that way." He couldn't help gut grin at the idea of dealing with the apologies like a job interview. It made everything seem a bit less daunting with help.
"I have no idea where you guys might want to go on leave, and I'm not that picky, there's probably a ******** like, piercing place almost anywhere in the world anyway." He eyed him thoughtfully, "I'll hold you to that funding offer." He couldn't help but chuckle- despite doing so being somewhat painful- he felt better, the awful pressing immediacy of the attack set aside.
"Good thing you are too young to be a sugar daddy."

"Damn good thing. Knowing you and sugar, I'd be out real quick any how." Harrison had been conservative in spending- money was something he just liked having, even if he was s**t at Poker, he and budgeting got along fine.
"You know my preference. Long as there's no bugs. ...And we already been to the beach. Wouldn't say no to Vegas again. Or somewhere new." Rep was still pale, but he was looking more alert at least. "...How you doing, you ready to walk, or do you need a few?"

He grave a very salacious chuckle and said, "I can't help having expensive tastes man, someone has to. There's a joy in being surrounded by things, living it up."
"Vegas was amazing. I wouldn't mind it again either I guess.." He carefully tried to get up so he could give an honest answer to the question, cringing as it felt like the muscles in his side had gone stiff in the time he'd been sitting. He took a few seconds to steady himself before nodding. "..Aye. Aye. I'm okay now." He wasn't, but he was good enough to be going on with.
"I dunno though, if I'm honest I kind of miss home sometimes. Nowhere we've been has been the right kind of cold and wet."

"Way too cold," Harrison stood, smiling again. He trusted Tracey to bother Rep into saying something if they needed to go over to the infirmary, but for now, he sent a text to Jordan. "And the beach was hot and wet."
Prolixity heading back 2 room, sasha is a no @ weapon A very bloody no.
"I could use some cooling off that doesn't involve ice climbing. There any gigantic squids in Scotland?"

"Exactly. And the island can be grey and damp, but clammy as hell." Nothing was quite the right balance of cold, grey and familiar miserable damp. He had really been on the island too long when the idea of reorienting his thoughts back home sounded like a good thing.
"And nope, no squids that I ever saw, they'd probably get depressed and leave." he grinned. "There's a lot of neat s**t back home though at least, places to eat, tattoo and piercing places, all sorts. And outside the cities I dunno, like lodges and bed and breakfasts and s**t."
And lots of very familiar confectionery. He thought to himself.
"Not very exotic though."
He took a hobbling step, though wasn't limping quite as badly as he had been. "We going home?" He didn't want to go anywhere near the life building. "I think I should probably have a shower and lie down. Or lie down then have a shower later. I dunno."
