His smirk deepened as Ca'mil's nose began to bleed, but he didn't have long to smile. Instead, he ended up trying to fend off a direct kick to his groin-- which did not end well for him.
He managed to slide the hit slightly sideways, but it didn't save him from all of the pain. He grabbed at his crotch and, with the tiny bit of air left in him, whistled for Losk to defend him.

The dragon swiped at him, but the human Losk had attacked was too close. She veered off her attack, leaving Losk unharmed, and he hissed at her as the human scrambled away. However, he was a Brown. He remembered his instructions, and turned back to his handler and the rider just in time for Ca'mil to have her strike hit home.
Losk bellowed as he felt his handler's pain and rushed at Ca'mil, lashing out with his teeth as he tried to barrel into her without hitting Loron. The female had hurt his handler! She had hurt him!

Gauden wasn't an idiot. He wasn't about to attack the wher again and draw its ire down on him. However, he also couldn't allow Ca'mil to be torn to shreds by the creature either, while its handler looked on. Get rid of the handler and get all the humans clear of the wher so that Cheryth could get involved. She was the only one strong enough to deal with the wher.
"Get out of the way!" he shouted at Ca'mil, both because of the wher and because he was rushing forward, a tackle aimed for Loron. The handler would stay close to his wher-- he knew dragons couldn't hurt him-- but Ca'mil, hopefully, would know to get clear on her own. If the wher became occupied with the dragon, hopefully they could finish off the handler as a team.

Damage Done 7 - 5 = 2
Gauden's shout of warning was not unheeded, while the handler stumbled away holding himself - and there was a good bit of glee in having hit him like that - Ca'mil turned and dove to the side to try and avoid the Wher's charge "Cheryth!" She called for her dragon even as the Wher's claws managed to snag on her pants and draw a small furrow down her leg.

Cheryth

Cheryths eyes whirled in fury as the Wher charged her rider - it had been bad enough when the beast had attacked Gauden..but going for her rider? That was beyond enough to send Cheryth over the edge. Roaring in fury she slapped a fore foot at the beast but the Whers charge was to fast and he shot past her claws and was now far to close for Cheryth to attempt another attack. Howling in fury and frstration the Crimson lashed her tail and waited. 'Away! Away from him he's to close!' The Crimson wailed to the two people with her.

Gauden saw something drop from the wherhandler and immediately lunged for it, hoping that whatever dropped would be useful.

Loron cursed as he came up with nothing but a rope and immediately lunged for Gauden. With any luck, the boy wouldn't have time to lash out at him with the whip if he tackled him quickly enough; Ca'mil's club could be used at any time. Better to disarm the safer one first.
He tried to call out to Losk, but found himself too distracted struggling with the Beastcrafter to do so immediately.

Losk let out a haunting wail and attacked Ca'mil again with teeth and claws, oblivious to the club she now wielded. Female rider must pay for her actions! All the riders must pay!

Gauden came up with a whip in his fist and without further hesitation lashed out sharply at Losk, hoping Ca'mil stayed close enough to where the weapons had fallen that she didn't end up getting hit with the whip as well. Thankfully, it seemed as if he had aimed high enough-- for the wher's head-- to avoid her, though not soon enough to prevent the wher from taking a swipe at her. The whip crack and the sudden sting of the whip welt rising on its face seemed to distract it enough, however, that it appeared to miss Ca'mil.
After hitting the keening wher in the face, someone-- Loron, probably-- suddenly collided with him, knocking him off of his feet again.
