Kyrie grinned as her sister scrambled up to Forest's unoccupied shoulder. Now -that- had looked like fun, she thought, though her attention was quickly drawn away from her sister to what she was excitedly pointing out. Seeing the bird, she gave a hoarse squeal and she waved excitedly to her brother who was the closest to the creature now.
'Look! Isi! Look!' she thought.

User Image He ended up leaning a little bit to the side as Caelia moved about on his shoulder. She was strong! At Ankou's request, he shrugged and smiled, "Just got a few chicks hanging about. What did you want?"

Isidore wanted up too and Glyph made the sign for one moment to Ankou before crouching and turning the boy then lifted him by the waist and set him down on his shoulders so that his legs curled around his neck. The spot enabled him to grip the branches of Glyph's crown and also resulted in his being surrounding by the leafy hair of Forest. Flicking his hair, it fanned out wide then settled back down, creeping about as it alive to settle neatly with a part where Isidore was sitting.

He remained crouching, however, and picked up the bird, also offering it a perch among his branches and it gladly found a place to sit as he stood once more and rolled his shoulders, getting used to the weight of the three youngsters hanging about him.

"You were saying?" He ventured, smiling at Ankou.

Caelia wobbled a bit with the sudden shift in balance as Glyph knelt again, making the little girl gripping all the stronger for it, tiny little wings flapping uselessly in the air to try to give herself some sort of balance.

And then the birdie was up there... Well, her brother too, of course, but right now her attention was on the birdie. She wanted to pet it ! Tiny little hands reached for the quail, which moved to perch higher, out of Caelia's reach, and the little goddess pouted.

"Birdddiiiieeeee...." Come back down !

Yep. Glyph might have very well been made for the job of carting around and amusing little ones... Through he figured that such a thing likely came more easily to those more connected to life. Him ? Well... It was a constant learning experience. And would likely always be.

The Spirit Guide waited until Forest had all his tiny passengers in tow, feathered or otherwise, before continuing. "Well... I do have a request to ask of you. And Xun." It had all started when Cosine had noticed that Akakios was increasingly going to them for guidance, which he had to admit was true. There were things that Lament seemed to simply not wish to share with his mother - be it out of fear to burden her, or other matters. Youths of all races could certainly be a little... uncertain, and Lament was at an age when he was learning the most of what he needed to learn.

His three were certainly no where near that... But Cosine had come up with the idea, and he had been quick to agree. They would have Echo, of course, but... "Cosine and I have talked about this... and we would appreciate if the two of you would accept to be guiding figures for the children... Godfathers of sort." Much like Echo had done with Tian Yue... But he was not familiar with the concept as the goddess was. "If their cousin is of any indication, well... They might appreciate having adults to confide to that arn't their boring old parents." He sounded amused at that, at least.

Isidore giggled as he was hoisted up to sit on Glyph's shoulders. That was certainly fun and as he was not blessed with wings it would likely be the closest to flying that the young god would get. He settled on Forest's head and gripped the branches, giggling all the more at the tickle of the leafy hair. He was rather proud that he had gotten the best seat, comfortable and he could see eeeverything.

His sisters shouts drew his attention. Birds ... he watched the quail move from his sister's reach, likely a wise move and nodded. Yep, he saw the birds, but he did not have quite as much of an obsession as his sisters did. Instead he thought it would be much more fun to wave to his dad.
"Hiya Da!"

Kyrie clacked her beak excited as Glyph shifted about. This was fuuuuun! Almost as much fun as when he had lifted her high into the air. Holding on tightly to the pillar of his shoulder, she crowed with laughter as Isi was lifted up to join them on their amazing and exciting new perch. Twisting a bit, she watched the leaves of Glyph's hair shift about and her attention was fully drawn away from the little quail as she reached a small hand out to touch the fine greenery surrounding her brother. She liked the way the leaves caught the light and she mentally giggled at the feel of their smoothness against her tiny fingers.

That was until Cae had managed to chase the little quail closer to her side of Forest. Blinking a big blue eye, she tilted her head as she examined the small creature. She liked the little feather that was on his head, she thought. Leaning over so she removed her hand from the branchy pillar of his shoulder and gripped tightly to his leaves and branches as she drew closer to the small beast.

'Birdie,' she thought and tried to speak the word, but it came out in a hoarse caw that caused the poor creature to upset from its perch a little with surprise.

User Image Caelia's squeal made him tilt his head back to look at her and the quail chittered it's dislike of the motion, "Be gentle..."

His looked back to Ankou, arching a brow as he waited for the request to actually be spoken. When it finally was, he cocked his head to the side just as Kyrie reached for the quail and it moved further up his horns and ended up with her partly supported by his branches, "Ack!' He froze, trying not to knock Isidore off or impale Kyrie.

"Ahm. Godfather?" He didn't know what that meant, to be honest, but if the description was an indication, then he was honoured, "Guidance? I'd love to! You honour me! I'll contact Xun as soon as I can to ask him. Does that mean I get to steal them whenever I want??" He grinned at Ankou as he waited for the kids to sort themselves out then stepped forward and embraced Ankou quite suddenly. Forest had to stoop a little but it just meant there was opportunity for the little ones to reach out and touch their father as well.

Glyph seemed to now have his fair share of problems, which he could not help but be amused with. Because he certainly knew how that went.

"Hello Isi." Ankou waved right back. "How is it like up there ?"

There were days where he was just tempted to grow two more sets of arms, but he would look so damn ridiculous doing it.

"As long as you remember to bring them back, I figure." He teased, through why was he leaning like that ?

Ugh.

Oh s**t.

Ankou has a personal bubble. It was thankfully not too terribly wide, but it did not mean that he appreciated most people going right into it. Family was one thing, but did Glyph not have Xun Jiang for that kind of thing... ? He more or less went stiff as a board in Glyph's hug and the only thing that kept him in there was politeness, really.

Caelia pouted when she was told to be gentle. Why didn't the birdie like her ? She just wanted to pet it ! Infinity liked it when she petted her...

Of course, the difference in between wild and tamed eluded her completely. But before she could try to reach for the quail again, They were all over daddy.

Now that was an idea. GROUP HUG ON DADDY !

Isi grinned as his dad waved to him and wobbled a little as Glyph began to move, his eyes wide he was not entirely sure he liked that very much at all.
He clung tightly to glyph's branches and watched his brave sisters as they moved around as though it was all natural to them.

Kyrie watched the little quail try to escape the love maulings of her and her sister, then squawked a bit when Glyph suddenly moved forward and began to lean. Holding tightly to his branches and leaves, she lifted one hand away and flapped it excitedly when she saw where they were going.

Daddy!!

"Da!" she crowed and leaned forward, her little hand going straight into his hair regardless of hairstyle, tangles, or otherwise.

User Image Unimpressed by the movement, the reaching hands and a general lack of protection, the quail squawked and fluttered away from Glyph and out of reach. Forest, however, didn't care as he squeezed the Spirit Guide tightly and let him go shortly thereafter, amused that his head now had a half dozen reaching arms as well.

"Stiff as board, Ankou," Glyph quipped, amused then winked and looked in the direction the quail had fled. "Alright, you three! How about a walk? Have been into the woods yet?" A brief glance at Ankou to confirm this and he grinned, the mischievous shimmer in his eyes. He almost felt like apologizing in advance for spoiling the kids rotten for the day but refrained because, really, he wouldn't be sorry.

"Let's go~" He called, turning to walk towards the nearby woods he knew like the back of his hand. His gait was a rolling, swinging motion like the swaying of trees in the wind - a gentle motion. "You coming Ankou?"

"So, tell me Isidore, Caelia, Kyrie... let's take a tour and you tell Glyph what you like when you see it." He paused on the edge of the stand, the trees already opening before him for an easy path, "There are birds, and bugs, and critters and lots and lots of trees." Reaching, he pulled one thick branch of a conifer down to show them the needles and the texture of the bark - all within easy reach. "Touch if you like, nothing'll hurt you while I'm here."

It wasn't the wisest decision, likely, to encourage a touch-and-see exploration but Glyph far preferred it to look-and-see.

"Well, yes. That tends to happen when you suddenly enter someone's personal bubble." Hint, Glyph. Hiiint.

And of course the girls had used that to their advantage, while Isidore seemed more worried about stability than trying to turn Glyph into a jungle gym. "It is alright." He nodded, trying to reassure his son. "Glyph will not drop you."

Looked like he was on for the ride as well, hm ? Ankou just chuckled to himself and set off to follow.

Awww... Birdie was gone. Caelia pouted, clearly unhappy that her birdie friend had made a clean getaway. Through... Daddy's face had been funny.

Fair trade off ? Maybe.

Thankfully, distraction from the lost quail came quickly enough, in the form of something strange and full of tiny green needles that was brought down in her reach. It smelled kind of nice, too. "Ohhh..." She reached out to touch it, and made a face at the feel of the needles - ouchie ! The bark, through, was more well received. "Ohhhh..." That felt strange !

Panic over, Glyph was upright again and they were striding off through the gardens. Isidore like that much better. His grin returning he enjoyed viewing the world from up high. It was all so different from their home.

"Tree" he vocalised as Glyph pulled the tree for them to look at. He reached out to touch it gently, It was prickly, though he didn't mind. Like his sister he found it smelled nice. "Nice." He grinned, patting the top of Glyph's head.

Kyrie released her father's hair as Glyph straightened and clapped her hands again. Daddy was so funny. Reaching out, she took a firm hold of Glyph's leafy hair as he began to move again.

Fun! So much fun! She liked the slow rocking back and forth of his gait.

When he stopped again, she leaned over to get a good look at the branch he had pulled towards them. Reaching out, she brushed her fingers over the prickly needles, then decided to grab a handful of them. Pulling them off, she studied them closer, enjoying the stronger scent of the pine oils from the damaged needles. Pulling one out, she handed it over to her brother, then twisted on Glyph's shoulder so she could lean down and hand one to her father.

User Image Their reactions made him chuckle as he bobbed it a bit, letting them thoroughly explore it. "Yes, tree. Specifically pine tree. They grow pine cones, which are full of baby pine trees." He reached up and plucked a couple of the cones, holding the trio of items out to the crowlings, "You can have it. We'll plant them later, start your own pine trees - would you like a tree?" Adi had certainly enjoyed being put in charge of a special tree, perhaps these three would as well - he certainly wouldn't mind.

He continued walking after Kyrie handed a needle to Ankou and made sure the branches juuust touched the tops of his horns - enough that the children could reach and touch and experience. There were no paths to follow for Glyph needed none, and where he took them they were surrounded by greenery of all sorts and many of the bushes were in flower, fragrant and beautiful to behold.

Stopping mid stride, he tilted his head and smiled, taking an odd turn as stepped to the edge of a clearing. "Quiet now, little ones." In the meadow a small herd of deer were foraging, a few fawns bucking and playing around their mothers, throwing up clods of clover. He presented himself and the deer all took notice of him, watched him for a time, then continued about their business. The fawns, however, sprinted over to inspect him.

By the stream, the leader of the herd had lifted his great antler'd head to watch Glyph, water glittering on his muzzle.

"Would you like to see?" He asked of them, holding a hand out to the fawns so they could nuzzle it.

"Pine." Caelia repeated, leaning forward a bit to sniff some more. She really liked this scent.

...Baby trees ? And she could have one ?! "Baby tree !" She grinned, full of giggles as she wriggled a bit on her perch, reaching out for one of the pinecones. That did not look like a baby tree at all ! Uh.

But it was not long before she forgot about this perticular question, when others caught her attention. What were these ? These weren't birdies ?!

"What is ?" She asked, hand reaching out to pat the top of the fawn's head.

"Thank you, Kyrie." He accepted the needles carefully, one gloved finger running on top of it idly. He was going a good job containing himself, this time around, but the fact that he was not spreading his influence outward certainly helped.

He remained further back when they all reached the clearing where the deer were, however, certain he might frighten them if he came too close.
