"Yes, and likely, someday, you will find another." He hmphed, shifting where he stood, the tip of his tail twitching up to smack against one flank. Somehow, he seemed less natural in this form. The turtle had suited him better, in its way, with its leathery skin and thin mouth. Nettle tilted his head to the side. "Or, if you do not, your children will."
He was oddly certain. Perhaps it was only hope. So he nodded. "Thus, I will bless you, and you will keep an eye peeled for another egg, and instruct them to do the same. And should they have an extra, they will bring it. Here. To me."

The legendary seemed so certain that either she or her children would find more gryphon eggs. Cornice was not so certain for she had traveled to many places in the swamp without finding one, and even if she were to find one or, if the legendary was to be trusted in this matter, her children were to find eggs there may never be any extra, these creatures being so rare. Regardless, this was a simple request, to look for eggs they might never find, and to bring an extra to him that they might never have. She promised it easily, "And it will be so."

"And thus it benefits me as much as you that your children have sense." He straightened, easing in slowly closer, to look her over -- perhaps to confirm that she was, in fact, bearing children. Nettle took his time about it, circling her, this time the end of his tail thrashing against her side, before he settled.
"So be it. May your children have the sense to follow through on all the promises made in their names." It came out slow and serious, with a toss of his head -- and it was done. He tossed his head and took a step back. "And may they have sharp eyes, as well."

Cornice stood unmoving as the legendary circled her slowly with an assessing gaze and didn't flinch when the end of his tail thrashed against her side. His blessing was perhaps not exactly what she would have hoped for (it was rather more selfish than she had expected, but never let it be said that Cornice was a hypocrite who begrudged others for their selfishness when she was equally so), but she wasn't going to complain and to have children with sharp eyes would be a blessing, and so she nodded her thanks. With that, she took her leave, stepping around the turtle and out of the cave. A flick of her tail and Watch Your Step was no longer examining the legendary, back at her hunting partner's side. Cornice walked off and in all likelihood, she was probably never going to set hoof in that cave again, but maybe, maybe she would. and be blue And we'll end it here I guess? Thank you for the brilliant blessing! I officially love Nettle and all his nettle-y-ness~ <3
